Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.

We had a really crummy experience with their Plumbing group. The plumber scheduled to come to my…read morehouse who had a "death in the family" which turned out to be his dog died I found that out later, but I didn't like being lied to a death in the family implies your wife or your mother or somebody. In any case they sent over a plumbing apprentice and electrical apprentice to do the job which they charged me an arm and a leg for they had to redo much of the work under the supervision over the phone from the plumber, who was supposed to be on the job. I know the details because I had disclosed that we have cameras all over the house for our business because we have a business and in one of our outbuildings. Every time there was a problem I called over to the plumbing department and said hey this has happened and the guy doesn't know what to do. It was just I want to say shit show but that's an understatement. PS that plumbing work failed and my son and his best friend fixed it as my son used to work for my construction company so I am very familiar with Plumbing. Naturally, we decided not to go back to Simple Energy because we were so disgusted with their work and because the dispatcher was so incredibly rude to me over the phone. He complained that I was spying on his worker while the worker was at my house and I just closed it. I had cameras and of course the cameras are monitored so hello. What he was mad was is that I knew he sent me someone who was really not qualified to do the work . In any case I had put this ridiculously bad Plumbing experience behind us when today a Simple energy propane truck drove through my backyard after delivering Propane to my next-door neighbor. I called Shawn at Simple Energy And said this was not acceptable especially because the driver didn't see me and almost hit me and our puppy as he zoomed through my backyard. You can't trespass you can't drive across my yard, especially if you're not delivering to me two strikes against the company. I don't know if they hire bad people or what but all in all I'd say I had a crummy experience.

They were out within an hour and fixed the furnace. Needless to say, I switched over to Cota Oil to handle all my homes. Can't say enough good things. It's rare to find exceptional service. I was looking for someone to do a variety of jobs around my home. The person I normally use was too…read morebusy to take on any additional work, so I went on Google and found Rob the Pro Handyman. His reviews looked fine, but there were not many, Taking a chance, I contacted The Pro to see if he had time to take on my jobs. He would. Since I had not worked with The Pro before, I gave him some very simple tasks to do before asking him to do any of my larger jobs. When he arrived at my house, I showed him a bathroom vanity door that needed to be replace, a bookcase that needed three shelves to be stained and attached to the frame of the bookcase, a leaded glass piece I wanted hung in a window and a place under the front porch where I wanted one piece of lattice attached. All basic jobs. To do the vanity door and bookcase, I permitted The Pro to take them to his workshop to do the work. The next time I saw The Pro, he returned with a finished bookcase and the vanity door. Before bringing the bookcase in the house, a screw used to attach a shelf to the frame fell out. The Pro screwed it back in. When the bookcase was brought inside the house and set on the floor, another screw fell out. I told The Pro I would tighten the screw myself after filling the hole with wood glue. Next The Pro went to attach the replacement vanity door (which I had furnished). Though he had taken it to his workshop, he had not bothered to pre-drill the hole used to attach the knob. So, he drilled the hole in the bathroom. Then he asked me for the knob so he could attach it and I had to remind him he took it with him. He had forgotten and realized he had left it at his workshop and would need to go get it. I told him to get the knob and drop it off the next day and I would attach it. Then he left without addressing any of the other jobs I wanted him to do. The following day, he left the knob and the stain I had proved to stain the shelves on my front porch. Shortly after I got a bill for $200 which I paid through PayPal. A day or two later, I turned the bookcase upside down to fill the screw hole with glue and then secure the shelf with the screw that had fallen out. As soon as I turned the bookcase upside down, all three shelves came crashing down on top of one another. None of the screws held. The Pro had purchased the wrong size screw. I then learned that he had only stained one side of the shelves, had written on the bottom of a shelf, and had mismeasured where to place the screws that multiple screw holes were on the bottom of the shelve. In addition, the bottom of the shelf had small globs of stain on them. It appeared that The Pro had stacked wet stained shelves on top of one another. I reached out to The Pro to see how he wanted to resolve the issue. No response. After a short period, I made a second attempt. Again, no response. Next, I reached out to PayPal, and I sent a message through their system to The Pro. Once again, no response. Finally, I filed a claim through PayPal, they investigated my claim and found The Pro negligent and refunded my $200.

On 10/22/19 I submitted a service request for work on my propane boiler thru his website, including…read moreall pertinent info (brand, year of mfg, service type symptoms etc.). I also specifically requested a boiler tune up since I was unsure when it had been done last - having moved into the house within a couple of years. I was impressed because he responded quickly. We set up an appt for 11/1 so he could come out and take a look. He came over 8 AM the morning of 11/1, tried to light the boiler, diagnosed it as needing a new thermocouple (which is usually done on a tune-up as I had requested), then had to "go get parts". Hu? Why would you not have a thermocouple with you? Okay, he goes to the local hardware store and calls me to say neither they nor tractor Supply have it. He will continue looking. at 1:30 PM I call to see if there is progress - nope, he went to another job (which I get, really I do). Later he left me a message that he would need to get ahold of the mfg to see if they could find parts. 11 days later, I hadn't heard from him, so I texted to see if he had any progress. Crickets, more crickets, and even more crickets. The sad part is that he is recommended by Peerless (the mfg of my boiler), and a home improvement website. But I had to call someone else out to fix my boiler (and that guy had a thermocouple on him, which was all it needed). I gave him 1 star for responding to my request and the second star because he actually did make it to my place and it was on time.
