Breakfast is good, drive through has got to be the worse EVER. Took me 30+ minutes to get my order. Some part time employees needed for the first breakfast hours. Had to finally ask if anyone was there into the speaker to even order. read more

Martins is always delicious! I believe it's the love they put into their scratch made biscuits. This is why I'm never surprised to see the line wrapped around the building and down the road (at any of the locations.) The food is good, and the prices are more than fair. The price of the biscuits are really no more than what McDonalds charges for theirs and boy o boy can you taste the difference! read more

Martin's is a classic greasy spoon breakfast Drive Thru joint with many locations around the NW Atlanta area. They have been in business for many years and have an almost Cult like following. There is always a line of cars stretched down the road waiting to get through. Before Covid they had indoor seating. They specialize in big Cat Head Biscuits made fresh with almost any kind of yummy filling you can think of. They have a few lunch options. They do what they do very well. They usually close about 2pm each day. Their employees are friendly and fast. They usually buy locations that other fast food joints leave vacant. Their food is just plain yummy... Like your Granny would make. There is nothing fancy here. They have not upgraded their places in years and they show it. Their drive thru lines move quickly. The prices are fair and serving sizes are generous. These are gotta try joints... especially if the line is not too long! read more

I feel like I missed a memo or didn't know the secret code phrase. After seeing the traffic and lines are Martin's, I decided to see what it was about. Martin's is your standard quasi-fast food restaurant. But that's all it is. There's no wow factor. There's no hook. The food was lackluster and I was expecting my taste buds to be blown away. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The "egg" was sad, the biscuit wasn't anything to cheer about, and I could buy the hashbrown patty and cook it myself. The service was speedy, which was nice. However, I could prepare most of their menu at home with greater flavor and less cost. When customers can do that, are you really that good of a place? Like I said, maybe I missed the memo or had expectations too high but Martin's didn't do it for me. read more

I eat at Martin's literally every morning. I have a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. My husband a country ham. Most of the time their biscuits are too hard as well as the bacon. I just pick the bacon off and pull off the hard parts of the biscuit. The eggs could be cooked a bit longer their sometimes too slimmy. But because I dont really like any other places for breakfast and they are pretty quick from speaker to window I continue to eat here. Why are your hash browns soooo greasy!???? I posted a picture of a napkin I laid it on and it's crazy how much it soaked up! It went through the napkin then through the bag!!!!! Ewwww no other restaurants I have ever eaten at a hash browns are like this!? Other then that I think the foods is ok and they always get my order right! So while this is a local chain, it is important to note that they have nailed the Southern style of traditional Biscuits. The best part about Martin's besides the biscuits is that they serve breakfast all day...well until they close in the early afternoon. You can order your biscuits large or small and stuff them with things such as pork tenderloin, fried chicken, or traditional fare such as ham, bacon, or sausage. The eggs are freshly scrambled, and are not fake or frozen. You can get gravy if you so desire or grits, and hash browns. They even have a breakfast bowl which is great for kids mixing eggs, cheese and grits. A little known secret is that senior citizens get a refillable mug for their coffee, on the house. I used to love this place. They have now lost my business! I was sitting in the parking lot restarting my phone (they are closed currently) and one of the employees (older lady) approached my car asking if I was waiting on someone. I told her no, I was just restarting my phone for my GPS and she said "oh my crew is inside and I see someone STRANGE sitting in the parking lot" so now I'm strange???? Martins of Carrollton, GA Sir or Ma'am, You might consider the rant of a mad woman! Let me start at the beginning. I've had a busy morning, running here, running there, trying to squish too many things into my day as usual. There was no time for stopping by home and making a meal so I decided I would hit the local Martin's the way to my next appointment.I really wanted a nice salad but ya'll were on the way so I settled. Big mistake! So I order a simple hamburger, small onion ring and water! Time stamp on my ticket, 11:44 AM Did I warn you the rant has started?!?! AT 11:58 the manager asks me what I am waiting for? Really? REALLY?? "The onion rings to go with the cold hamburger that has been on the shelf for 10 minutes." I reply. So she shouts to the back of the store, "Where those rings?" and the reply "Oh, I'll mix up some batter." So WHY is it that a hamburger joint doesn't have batter made and ready to go at NOON? I should NOT be standing there 19 minutes unless they had to run out to the store and buy some onions! By this time my frustration was really beginning to boil over. I told her to forget the rings and just give me fries... She shouts to the back again, "Forget the rings, drop me some fries."OMG! What the heck is wrong with you people that you don't have fries ready at 12 noon?!?!? IF this was a single occurrence maybe I wouldn't be so aggravated, but every time I go to one of these fast food places it takes FOREVER to get food that's not even good for me. Plus, most of the time the food itself doesn't taste good either. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a greasy burger and rings as much as the next girl, I just don't indulge as much as I used to. So when I do, I want it I want it fast and I want it hot. Not with a stale bun or cold rings. Alright so all that and I'm not even to the best part yet. So after waiting a total of 20 minutes for my SLOW food, did I get an apology, or the manager saying "Thank you for your patience." Do I get the any courtesy or respect for my time? No what I got was a very perfunctory "Sorry, have a nice day." thrown over her shoulder as I am being dismissed. I don't know about you but I dislike being treated with disdain. If I am such a burden on this person's day at work, perhaps I should make sure to choose another place to eat. Please pass this next bit along to your line workers ~ I'm sorry you work there, but it is your job to serve people pleasantly. I know it sucks, I know you are tired, you feel greasy and gross. You want to know why I know? I did it too. I worked at McD's for 5 years, yes YEARS. When I did I was pleasant to customers. I gave them respect, apologized sincerely when I took a long time or messed up an order, etc, etc. So that's it. This just might be the straw that broke the camels back. I am TIRED of paying for bad for you food and really crappy service at these 'fast food joints' I'm done. The family is not going to like this, but I am starting a boycott of fast food restaurants that do not provide good service or good food. You want my business? Show me. Get your house in order... The only reason I eat here is because it's convenient. I do like the grilled chicken club sandwich when it is made right. My complaint is that the girls that work here are so loud. They yell everything!!! Everybody can hear everything they say. To much joking around when people are waiting to order and eat. The other issue is the place is always a mess. Tables and chairs are covered in food and napkins. It would take 10 minutes to wipe the tables down. I hope they read this and tighten up a bit and people would like the place more. There is always such a huge line at this place. Being new to the area we had to try it out. I dislike that they don't have meal options. You have to buy everything seperate. I have had the bacon egg & cheese biscuit as well as burgers, fries and onion rings. The food was good but sooo very greasy. Everything was greasy. To the point we all had upset stomachs from it. I have been going to give it another try but nervous to eat there and not come straight home. read more

I have been going to Martins since at least 1974 at the original in Austell when biscuits were still made with lard and the sides were crispy. I love the chicken sandwich, the sausage biscuit and have always LOVED the chili slaw dog. Today I stopped by and ordered a chili dog combo add slaw. This comes with a chili dog, large fry and medium drink it costs $4.76. The person at the counter asked did I want a large fry and medium drink. (good grief) I had them add slaw...I did NOT ask for a side of slaw which costs .69$, the TOTAL of both, the COMBO and a SIDE OF SLAW is $5.45 plus 7% tax for a total of $5.83. Keep in mind I just had a TABLESPOON of slaw added to the dog..not a whole side....YET....they CHARGED ME $6.29.....46 cents MORE than a combo meal and a side. I went back to the counter and said could you please explain your math. Of course....I got that LOOK...you know it....yeah that one.... I never got an answer BUT next time when you go...order the combo and a side of slaw and maybe, just maybe they will charge you what it costs on the menu and not off the super secret price list that the girl at the counter cant explain. read more

Good breakfast. My wife made a run this morning to grab the fam some biscuits. Man, those things are great! My oldest son and I had a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. My youngest and wife both had country fried steak biscuits w gravy. We all agree that it was delicious. Biscuits were nice and fluffy and fresh. And obviously everyone else in Villa Rica would agree because that drive thru stays wrapped around the building. Yet, still receive great service and fresh food. The breakfast is excellent if your looking for not having a health food day. It is really good! However, the restaurant is dilapidated. They use an out of date menu board which wouldn't be a big deal if the pictures weren't so old that you can't tell what they are. The dining room is always a complete mess, you have to sit at dirty and sticky tables. The lines are always extremely long which is understandable since the food is so good, but it's obvious they only care about pushing the food out and not the decor of the restaurant. They close everyday at 3 pm with the money they make in the shore amount of time they are open you would think they would remodel and at least keep it clean. read more
