While Menards lets you use their saw & Lowe's might offer 1-2 cuts on a plywood board, the team at Bender in Columbus will literally do as many cuts for your project when you buy lumber here. It's long because I'm upset. Sorry: I am a very overly kind person. I'm also very poor. My father and brother are helping pay for and install a new water heater due to it leaking for over a month and ruining my home. I couldn't afford to fix it nor the flooded flooring and walls etc etc but they are stepping in. Now we find Menards sells a small water heater for -$200 than other stores! So we're locked in to this store. We can't pay someone to do the fix, heck we can't afford the fix. We unfortunately had to risk doing it ourselves. This store DOES do water heater exchanges. They take the old ones and sell you a new one. Most of the employees assumed we were doing that and told us in multiple conversations that we can bring the old broken heater there. Apparently there's a few details and loopholes where they won't accept them. If you bring the old one in first and purchase the new one you're good. If you purchase first and bring the old one after they'll now tell you to piss off because you didn't bring it earlier. Imagine dropping off your old water heater, a nice employee takes it in for you while you return the pickup truck you paid and rented from them. --and then you go walk across the giant store to check in kindly if you need to pay for the disposal and they yell at you over and over. Also they refused to speak to me other than yell at me. I couldn't even see the old heater! They refused to hear anything I said and continued yelling that they "never" take in old water heaters. But they do. Our situation wasn't perfect, but there was no reason whatsoever for treating a kind person like someone to be screamed at for several minutes. I was obviously just trying to be nice and figure out what went wrong and where but they were on some power trip. That was the first night. I literally was dismissed and told to leave the store for another day because they were done with me. ... what? I was trying to also purchase another hose I needed, PLUS I got a phone call from my dad that they somehow purchased an incorrect replacement and we needed to buy another water heater. But here I was being told to leave the store. Crazy. We had spent over a thousand dollars, we were telling the employees that we needed to buy much more, and still being treated like scum over a tiny scrap fee or whatever they might have at hand. And I was TRYING to get it back and fix things and they wouldn't even allow it. It was unbelievably uncomfortable. After the first night my dad still wanted to use the same store. We went back the following day and there were more rude employees who found us at checkout and started telling us off as if we had done something horrific. We were pretty sure they were holding our old water heater hostage still but they finally brought it out to us and then refused to do our exchange or purchases until they stood there yelling at us that now we have to take the water heater back... Anytime I spoke they talked over me saying things like "no listen to me! I'm telling you what happened and what you did to us!". It was aggressive, accusatory, and unkind. I was absolute fuming. I am a very soft spoken person, and I do NOT like being obviously taken advantage of for my personality. We were fine taking the water heater, but they even kept yelling at us "you better take that with you!!" even as I paused walking out the door to straighten my pants! And we were already walking away with both the exchange heater and the broken one! They were insufferable. If I had been alone or used all my own money I would return everything. Everything. I have to purchase a lot more stuff to fix the walls and floors and a few more plumbing issues now that my dad and brother are helping me on this. But YOU'LL NEVER SEE ME IN THIS STORE AGAIN! I had no idea how negatively these interactions would impact me but I just feel so upset and uncomfortable. I don't want to talk to anyone for a long while. I just felt judged and disliked no matter how much I wanted to work with them and show I cared and it was an accident.

I told them I wanted to check the reviews on the blower and would be back if the reviews were positive. The reviews were great so went back on Thursday September 3rd to purchase. The same manager and a different cashier now told me that they would not honor the advertised free battery with a blower purchase. They said the add was deceiving. The add, as shown below, clearly has a red box around the BUY ONE GET ONE FREE advertisement. Seems suspicious that the add is very clear on the offer and they brought it to my attention on Wednesday. Now they "CANNOT HONOR THE ADVERTISEMENT".

I had an issue with my Briggs n Stratton mower, and took it in about a month ago. Initially, there was a 10 day wait because of the season, which was fine with me. An initial $40 deposit, which is deducted from final bill was definitely worth it. Once my mower was looked at, phone call made to let me know the issue and cost, they had it fixed in a short time. Excellent work, great group of guys who work with their customers and costs are liveable. Two thumbs up!

It's a very unassuming location so I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in. The produce is the first section you walk into as you enter so that was good because I didn't have to go searching for the deals. Everything I wanted was still in stock and I found a few extra treats that weren't on the list at great prices(ex. 7.5oz Wholly Guacamole bowls for $1 each-a steal!) I ended up buying blackberries, raspberries, Vidalia onions, zucchini, squash, Cincinnati Reds peanuts, spring mix and arugula and my total was less than $16. The deal is that everything is probably close to their "best by" date but for such a low price I can afford to "use em or lose em". I browsed around the store to see what else they had and I may have to check out some of their clothing next time because it looked like some good deals to be had in that area as well. We had gone multiple places and couldn't find anything that really was within our budget and in good shape. We stopped in here and was created by the owner, he showed us a few dryers that were in great shape and well within our price range. My husband spotted this washer & dryer set and said- well might as well just upgrade. We talked to the owner- he offered to bring it to us THAT SAME DAY! We were in no rush, so we opted for just a couple days later. He delivered, unloaded & even helped my husband hook it up. He also hauled our old ones away! Hands down some AWESOME customer service! The washer & dryer are in great shape and go so well in my laundry room. I am so happy with them! It also came with a warranty & the owner said there is even a repair warranty too! 10/10 would come here again for our next appliance needs!

When I went back to explain that I was overcharged, I was told I was lying and the man claimed he "would NEVER make such a mistake." It was genuinely so weird and deeply disturbing. (They will no doubt reply to this review claiming that I am lying because that is 100% who they showed themselves to be today.) His "solution" was for me to return everything and get a refund, but I wanted the items I got. So I'm left paying twice what I was told and he can go on being a crook. In the end, lesson learned about tapping for payment without seeing the amount with my own eyes, but I'm sharing this to prevent others from being swindled by this company/man.
