An appliance repair person first recommended Marty's for purchase of new appliances since he trusted their installers. After recently going through purchase and delivery with a big box store, I can say without a doubt that the Marty's experience was vastly different. When I called Marty's, they were extremely helpful over the phone in helping me decide which new washer to buy. The delivery workers arrived within five minutes of their given window, and they were very polite. They took out my old unit, hooked up the new unit, and walked me through how to use the washer. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The whole process was easy, and I would definitely buy another appliance from Marty's in the future. read more

Giving this rating one star is way to much. I would put zero stars if I could. We went to purchase a dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer and stands and were given a price for all appliances which we agreed upon and the Invoice was paid. Patrick was friendly at the time and we were initially pleased. The next day when all was to be installed it was noticed the washer was damaged and they had to order another, this was understandable. The refrigerator and dishwasher were installed next day. friendly prompt service. The washer that was damaged was originally supposed to be delivered to their store on 7/3. We had to call to follow up and eventually the washer and dryer were installed on 7/11, again friendly installers. 7/18 Now we get a call and asked for an email address with nothing else said. Ok.. strange but then we get an email for an additional invoice for an additional amount because they forgot to add the dishwasher that was installed a month ago. So today 7/19 we call and talk to Patrick and the first reaction was well you can't have it for free and that he can pick up the dishwasher or you can pay the invoice. Again we explained you quoted us a the original amount with ALL appliances, the refrigerator, washer dryer and stands, dishwasher and installation. His demeanor was horrible on the phone. Marty's came highly recommended and we felt the customer service was horrible. We are still extremely unsatisfied considering we would have not purchased everything here had the price been more. Mind you we are talking an original invoice price of 5,200 and then receive an addition bill of 759. Update: Patrick called back and said he would update the balance owed to their cost. This drops the additional bill down by about 110, but still an additional bill to us of 650 and was not planned nor would we have made this purchase as the price is now higher then originally agreed and over our original budget. read more

I have split feelings on Marty's appliance. First, the good. I really like the showroom and the sales team is great. Marty and his employees are honest people that don't try to sell hardware and models which won't suit you. I came in with my heart set on a KitchenAid microwave and he talked me down to a equivalent Whirlpool model for significantly less. He won! Next time I came in I had my heart set on a particular Whirlpool refrigerator. He talked me down to the next model down which didn't suffer in specs much if at all. Fantastic! I also appreciate that Marty's Appliance's has models on display that you won't normally find at Home Depot or Lowes. Now the not-so-good. The installers need some polishing in terms of manners. Yes, they are prompt and come when they say they will. Communication and heads-up phone calls on their arrival are all top notch ... but the top notch performance ends when they enter your house to install the appliance. They leave such a mess! I'd have rain puddles brought into my home. Tools were carelessly tossed and dropped on my counters. I understand that this is their "job" but they also have to remember that they are guests in my house, my home. This isn't the field. This is where my kids eat and grow. Don't come in telling me of new, unexpected charges. What I am suppose to do in that case? Refuse installation and tell you to take it back after I've already paid for the appliance? C'mon, guys. Will I consider Marty's in the future? Sure, possibly. I can always look. However, I will be a lot more hesitant to make the purchase. I still have a few more appliance to buy for my life and I would like to have a more positive experience in the future. read more

The store/showroom is small compared to the big box stores, but the selection is of good quality and the service is impeccable. Everyone is friendly and helpful including the installers. This is the honest appliance store everyone wishes they had in their town. Marty the owner along with his son Patrick run the business and are the people that deal directly with the public. Their knowledge base is extraordinary and based on a lifetime of industry interaction, sales, and repairs. They have been extremely helpful to us. While brand selection is limited, they do promote quality domestic brands, sold at a reasonable price which have accessible channels for repair parts. Customer service is a priority and we have been impressed with the response we received when minor issues arose with a selection of appliances we purchased. This is a good place. At the very least. please check them out when you are shopping for new appliances. read more

I just got my house back after my divorce and needed a full set of appliances. I spent 2 hours at Home Depot, just to learn they wouldn't even try to get me the built-in Maytag microwave I wanted. I went to Lowe's and couldn't get someone to help. I found Marty's just before I had given up all hope. Since they're an authorized dealer for Maytag and Whirlpool, they were able to get me everything I wanted and install it in a reasonable time. The microwave installation needed a slight redo after they left, but nothing major. If I ever need another appliance, I will be going there first. read more

I purchased a used washer and dryer from my mom. She had purchased a few years ago from Marty's and suggested I call them to move them to my house. I called and Samantha was wonderful in setting up the move and for a reasonable price. Cody showed up and was wonderful in carefully moving the washer and dryer to my home. He took the time to explain how everything worked, checked for leaks, and was very professional. He also noticed that my gas line was not capped off. He went out of his way to make sure it was safely capped off. I am very impressed with their service and professionalism! We are fortunate to have them in our community! read more

This is the place I always come to when I need an appliance. Prices are decent and they have great customer service.

I have used Marty's several times in the past and have been very satisfied. But this last occasion has me less than satisfied. First, they completely forgot about and missed our appointment. When I finally got them out there, the tech was not comfortable working on my brand refrigerator (Frigidaire). Seeing the icemaker fan was covered in ice, which I said had been a repeated problem, he used hot air gun to melt ice and the fan started to work. I have done this in the past as well. He said he suspected an air leak but did not feel comfortable disassembling due to the brand. He then told me that since there was a mistake in the appointment and he did not actually fix the problem he was not going to charge me. But he would ask his coworker about the fridge and see if he knew of anything. The next day I get a call from the technician. The good news: They found there was a service bulletin about a factory defect requiring a gasket. The bad news: suddenly after getting back to the office he has decided to charge me for the service call. "Because the fan was working when I left". He was willing to apply the charge if I had it repaired right then. But I do not like it when people or companies go back on their word. And this is especially the case when they think treating a symptom verses fixing the problem qualifies as "fixed". I have recommended several people to them. But I am not sure that I will be using or recommending them in the future. Update: After some discussions the service charge was waved. read more

I have a big install issue with my new Kitchen Aid hood which is venting into my kitchen, is missing a charcoal filter blah blah blah. After speaking to 4 other so-called Kitchen Aid repair people who had no interest, no information and no manners, I called Marty desperate for a referral. While he personally couldn't do the job or benefit from it,, he was extremely informative, patient, knowledgable and helpful in directing me to the proper solution. Thank you Marty! We purchased all new Whirlpool Gold appliances at Lowe's and fortunately an extended four year policy. The stove and refrigerator have had numerous defects, recalls and failures. Marty's Appliance & Repair was the repair company Whirlpool warranty called to do the repairs. For most of the repairs, the service person was Greg. My wife and I agree that Greg is the nicest, most helpful, professional repair technician one could ask for--especially since he has been in our home for repair work over fifteen times over the span of three years. We gave only four stars because when our top shelf refrigerator items would freeze (which was a defective part recall by Whirlpool issued in a service bulletin), a different technician came who replaced the part but was quite rude. Maybe a bad hair day? But if you get Greg, you will certainly be quite pleased. As an aside, I do not know if it was just poor luck (I gathered not from talking to the technicians) but I would never buy another Whirlpool appliance due to all the problems, defective parts and the recalls. Unfortunately, Whirlpool makes most brands such as Kitchenaid, Jenn-Aire and so forth so alternatives are limited to higher ends like Sub Zero or Wolff. Our Whirlpool Gold stove has had all the electronics, the thermostat, the oven burner and the electrical harness replaced in three years. So if you go with a Whirlpool or the other brands made by them, would strongly suggest in this rare instance that you buy the extended warranty which is cheapest t the time you originally buy. read more

When we went shopping we were expecting the pressure to buy up. Ended up just the opposite. Marty recommend a less expensive model after he interviewed my wife on how she does things. No need to pay for features what you won't use. Also there is less to go wrong on the simpler models. Saved us money as well. What's not to like? These guys were great! I needed a new fridge and after checking many other places and the big box stores I stopped in here on my way home. They were very helpful in the store and the installation at the house was even better. These guys knew what they were doing and even had to take front door and the fridge handles of to get it inside and up the stairs. They also took the old fridge away and no extra charge. I wouldn't give this business any stars. In October 2014, I bought a new dishwasher, washer and dryer spending over $3000. I told the saleswoman I wanted to keep my washer and sell it on my own as there was nothing wrong with it. She told me her son's friend needed a washer and she could get me $150 for it. I agreed. The next day they delivered my washer and dryer and took my old appliances. The first part of January 2015, it dawned on me I had not heard from the saleswoman nor had I received my $150. I called her and left a message. She didn't call me back. I called again and spoke with her. She remembered her son's friend needed a washer but she couldn't remember our arrangement. She said she would look into it and call me back. She never did. The first week of February I called again and left a message. No call back so I went into the store. She looked very distressed that I was there and went and got the owner's son. He told me they didn't sell customer's used appliances. I told him I wanted either my washer back or the $150. He angrily said he would have to talk with his dad and he would call me. He didn't so I went back in the store. The owner pretended to know nothing of the situation but immediately became angry with me, offering me $75 and any one of the junk washers on the pile out back. I refused . He told me he wasn't going to give me the $150. When I left, all three of them were standing behind the counter angrily telling me that I wasn't telling the truth. I have several sets of friends who have spent thousands of dollars in Marty's who will never set foot in there again. So much for buying local. You can do just as well or better at Lowe's, Sears, RC Willey or Home Depot. read more
