I was having an issue with a new Thermador refrigerator/freezer and I was given an appointment within 2 days. The person I talked to was very nice and very helpful (sorry I don't recall her name). Alex L came out, looked at the freezer door and said "this is most likely your issue the seal isn't tight". He cleaned up the iced up freezer and adjusted the door making it nice and tight. All of my appliances are new and Alex proceeded to give me tips on getting the best use of the appliances. He was extremely knowledgeable and so helpful. The 3 best tips, showing me which burners I can use during a power outage, leaving some food on my dishes so the dishwasher can do its job efficiently and warming my oven for a just bit longer especially in the winter! We were having an issue with our Thermador built in fridge. After calling a half dozen appliance repair companies and being told they do not service Thermador we decided to ask the local company that sells Thermador who they recommend for repair. They recommended Best Appliance and we made an appointment. Best Appliance told us they would be out between 11-2pm on the date of service. They ended up coming a little later but did communicate with us when they were on their way. The rep, Carlos was great to work with and took his time explaining to us what the issue was and what preventative maintenance we could do going forward so the issue won't re-occur. Also pointed out a few other tips on some of our other Thermador appliances. Totally reasonable cost in my opinion of $149! Would highly recommend Best Appliance and Carlos to anyone in the Reno/Tahoe area needing repair on their Thermador appliances. They also work on Bosch, WOLF, Sub-Zero, COVE & Gaggenali to name a few! read more

I had a dishwasher leak. I called this company. The person in the office was awesome. Then, when the guy came out to troubleshoot the problem, he first of all did not follow instructions prior to him getting to my house then when he got to my house, he was abrupt. He had no customer service whatsoever, very unprofessional all the way around. He told me I needed a particular part that he would order so that was it. I just figured I'd get somebody back to install the part and we would be all good, but instead, whatever he told his office they canceled the work without explanation. Maybe it's because I'm not a lakefront rich person. I don't know what his issue was, but I can say it was the worst experience I've ever had as a senior citizen with any appliance technician. read more

There's a good reason why this place gets high reviews. They are incredible. We had a middle burner on the cooktop that was not sparking and under warranty. They scheduled a prompt service. Two different guys came out at different times. I wish I could remember the first person's name. He was great in quickly identifying the problem, polite, and respectful. The part was not available on the truck and had to be ordered. Within about 10 days they came back to repair the cooktop. Alex came today to replace the part. Clearly, he was very familiar with how to do the job with years of experience. Alex was fast, efficient, and super knowledgeable. He also told me about a safety feature of the cooktop that I didn't even realize existed. I can't think when I ever had a home appliance repair job done as well as this one. She scheduled the repairman (Carlos) to come within a few days of my initial call. Carlos was fantastic too. He clearly understands Wolf appliances and he clearly and happily showed me how and why my oven broke. Carlos was respectful and cheerful and actually enjoyable. I called Best Appliance because I was having trouble installing the water filter in my refrigerator. I had done it before but for some reason it wouldn't work. Rather than schedule an appointment with a minimum charge Best Appliance walked me through the step that I needed to install the filter. It never occurred to me to turn off the water because I never had had this problem before. Once I turned off the water the filter installed without a problem. I offered to pay for the phone call, but Best Appliance said that they were happy to help. In today's world people that simply want to help exist less and less. Six stars - over the top. Best is the real deal. Today Carlos of Best Appliance provided an outstanding service experience and repair of my 17 year old Wolf 6 burner dual-fuel range/over. I worked more than 40 years in electronics engineering and manufacturing and Carlos is the most highly-trained, experienced and courteous technician I have ever met. He efficiently removed, replaced and tested operation of the replaced boards. I cannot adequately express my gratitude and respect for Carlos' many years' experience with Wolf/Sub-Zero products. There was a recall on our new Cove dishwasher so I begrudgingly called thinking: Great..hold times waiting for this person that person: press one, or 28 etc... & what a pain, yet another thing I've got to schedule and wait around all day for.... BUT, I called and a lovely gal (forgot her name sorry!) immediately answered the phone- live person! Who said they'd be there next Wednesday at 9am! Not a month or 5 out- the next week! Carlos was on time, a LOVELY guy who helped very kindly, graciously, with a very friendly & down-to-earth demeanor. He even opened up the top of our Sub-Zero and offered to clean the thingy (filter?) up there which he did! He also told me the reason why those dishwasher pods always got stuck - they were too big and recommended a brand that works properly. He said that our 1942 Wolf range he would love to work on (there's a few issues) and I am thrilled to work with them again! I had a home warranty service. I recently decided to junk the service and find some companies that actually knew what they were doing. Maybe it costs more ... maybe not, but my blood pressure is also important. So I now have a plumber who knows how to plumb. I have an electrician who knows how to wire. And I have Best Appliance. You call them, they answer the phone! They schedule you ... they call you back. This is customer service the way America ought to be. I had then fix my Sub Zero refrigerator a while ago after the home warranty guys had screwed it up. Good company. Trying hard to deliver good service, and doing a great job of it. This company is very professional. They keep their appointments, call to let you know they are on the way, and show up on time. Get the job done right the first time, and seem to be able to repair almost every brand. They only do repairs, so they don't try to sell you a new appliance. That said, the repairman also advised me whether or not to invest more money into old equipment, or better off buying new. They did a major repair to my SubZero built-in, but advised me against repairing an old dishwasher. Excellent advice both ways. They are not inexpensive, but the quality work is worth it. read more

I have a Bosch Axxis stacking washer and condenser dryer in a rental. One of the tenants opened the washer door too hard and cracked the door to the point that the door was "dropping" when it was opened, and the screws weren't holding. I went online looking for Bosch repair services with little success; left a message for Lakeside Appliance repair (they didn't call back) and called them again to find out they don't work on Bosch anymore. Ugh! Reviews for other places didn't look promising. Then somehow I found Best Appliance Repair. Their main headquarters is in Sacramento, but they are branching out into Lake Tahoe and Reno and work on high end appliances. Thank goodness I found them! I got an appointment the very next day. The technician, Jordan, ordered a new washer door assembly, and in less than 2 weeks from the first appointment, the parts were in and the door was fixed.
