this is the second time i took my car here, i paid for marty to fix my E-brake, he charged me $120, and my E-brake does not work, i put my e-brake on, in nuetral, on a hill, and it rolled down the hill backwards, i googled this as well and this means the parking brake does not work, in addition i was charged $464 for a rubber piece of weatherstripping and for marty to glue a piece of rubber to adhere to my driver side door! highway robbery In addition to a coolant flush all this was $900 and like I said, my E brake did not work I will be going back to get a refund and will be taking my car elsewhere Oh yeah, in addition, he charge me $300 for a coolant, flush and replace. read more

Marty will do the work without your approval and then send you an overpriced invoice demanding payment because the work has already been done without the customer approving the work. Used to be the best and most honest ... now promoted to it's highest level of incompetance through social media. I've been going to Marty's for years. Always happy with their service until lately. Last two times I was in to drop of my truck it spent the *entire* day there only for me to find out after having to chase an anser by calling at nearly 6PM that they couldn't complete everything that day or nothing at all was done because they were "so busy." Yesterday I called to schedule an oil change and tire rotation. Pretty sure it was Marty himself who answered and said, "Yeah, bring it in anytime. I'm wide open for the next few days." I told him I'd bring it in at 11AM the next day and he agreed that would work for him. When I got there (early) at 10:40AM today no one was in the office (again). I waited and waited finally had to walk around to ask one of the mechanics what was going on. Marty then came in to the office (been 10-15 mins). I was beginning to tell him that I'd call and scheduled an 11AM for an oil change and tire rotaion when he unapologetically cut me off and said, "Can't take it today, I'm too busy. I've got 30 cars to work on!!" When I reminded him that I'd called and scheduled, he said, "Doesn't matter, I can't take it. Too busy. Sorry." Wow. Time to bring the rating down on this one. I took my car for an oil change. I usually wait. Soon after it was taken into the shop a guy (looked new) came into the office with something in his hand. After an hour an a half I asked where the owner was (Marty). I was told he went to pick up a part. Finally I asked what the hold up was. He said the oil cap broke and he had to get a new one. When I got the bill, he charged me $55 for the damage done and said it was a defection cap. LOL After talking to a few other places I was told if they break it, they take responsibility. Went to Martys Automotive Repair today, after getting an outrageous repair price from my regular mechanic. I might as well have sold my car for the price I was given by my mechanic. Went to Martys to get a price to replace my rear shocks and shock mounts today. I waited a little over an hour, and my shocks and shock mounts were replaced!! I brought them with me, after buying them online. I was expecting an estimate FIRST to replace them, but in an hour, the job was done! I can't complain. Especially the price!!! But that would be my only 'complaint', I didnt get an estimate first as expected. But considering the price of the repair, 1/8th the price of my other mechanic!!!, I am not complaining. After I left this place and(paid 260$, had my car in this place for three days and have a paperwork from them telling me I have 2 years, 24000 miles warranty) ,I came back one hour later with NOT working AC- that was the problem on my car. The employee up front told me I need to come back tomorrow and they will fix it first thing on the morning. Instead I had them telling me my AC was working when I left ( for one hour), I can't have my money back and I need to pay a lot more. My experience with Mary's Automotive was a pleasure from start to finish. I took my car there without an appointment but was promptly greeted by Marty. He listened to what I had to say and asked questions. He called me the next day with an estimate of the work needed. The estimate was detailed and fair. I'm not a mechanic, but I have worked on cars enough to have a pretty good idea of the work he was going to have to do, parts needed, and the time required. While they were fixing the problems with the car, some fluid leaks, they found that the power steering had also been leaking and needed to be repaired. Marty's Complete Automotive is undoubtably the best auto mechanic shop in South Florida. My first experience with Marty's was in 2012 through a required insurance inspection, and to this day it is the absolute only place I will take my vehicle. I lived in Miami 2012 to 2017 and Delray Beach 2017 to current, and it is still the only place I will go- I even have the AAA where if I happened to break down in Tallahassee, they would still tow my car all the way to Marty's.
