Super disappointed in the amount of ice cream and the nasty service. $8.50 for this, and when I asked if I could be charged for a medium rather than a large, the girl actually rolled her eyes at me. You're going to lose customers if you keep this up. read more

We usually go to the Long Beach location. This time we wanted to try the original location in Lido Beach. Same great ice cream paired with great service. Even when the line was long, it quickly dissipated. I got my favorite, mint. The sprinkles fit in nicely for 4th of July weekend. There is parking around the building and in the adjacent residential street. Just be careful and watch out for people walking in the lot. Not everyone pays attention. read more

Always a refreshing summertime treat. Nothing special or fancy but it has an awesome vibe when the weather is warm. Standard, run of the mill menu. A few soft serve sugar free and low-fat yogurt options. Staff is young but they are pleasant and work hard to keep up with the demand. Prices are a little steep, but I guess that's everywhere nowadays. To go only .......so get your order and enjoy it in the parking lot with everyone else. 3.5 stars. read more

The good news is is that they're open year-round, ice cream, frozen yogurt drinks everything is fresh nice people who work here very polite service is quick and easy. They do have a time limit in the parking lot in the back but that's understandable. Chocolate shake was creamy and delicious the cherry slush better than anything you'll get it in7-Eleven, and if you like the marvel, sprinkles. What a yummy ice cream spot. Three small cones (one with sprinkles) was a little over $15. Don't think small is actually a small ... the amount of ice cream you actually get is easily a medium at any other ice cream shop. On this hot day there were 3 registers opened and the lines went pretty quick. I took away a star because my cone tip was broken and I didn't realize it till I was halfway done and my napkin was dripping. read more

My family has been coming to marvel since before I was born. Always a great go to spot for ice cream. Sometimes you'll catch sunset and it really sets the mood. Service is always great. It's a Long Island landmark. The place hasn't changed since as far back as I can remember. I'd say it looks kind of iconic, because on Long Island it is. Nothing says summer is here like when you're struggling to find parking and waiting in line for that delicious soft serve. Every flavor is great and make sure you get sprinkles. Show up with cash in hand and be ready to order. You'll get your icecream almost as fast as you hand over your cash. Get in, out, and enjoy. My favorite is when the line isn't too crazy and there's time to just sit by the trunk of your car and eating your icecream before departing. read more

I was at the Astoria, Queens location, & had vanilla ice cream with the cherry coating (bonnet?) in a waffle cone. Very tasty, and 2 thumbs up for the quality. I can't give it 5 stars because of the price. Ot was my first time there, prices aren't posted, and I didn't ask how much it would cost, which is unusual for me. I haven't kept up with the price of ice cream cones, but I wasn't expecting $9.06 for an ice cream cone, despite the "large" (as opposed to small or medium) size. The receipt said $8.32 + $0.74 tax. What I found even stranger than the $9.06 was the base price of $8.32. Just seems really odd to me. I didn't ask how much the smaller sizes cost, but the experience reminded me that it makes sense to ask the price before purchasing, even if it's only an ice cream cone read more

I'm so surprised I hadn't written a review for Marvel before, especially since I have been here a couple times because it's pretty close to my sister's house. It's definitely great value compared to a lot of other ice cream shops. Since the last time I was there they've added more flavor options too. When I went recently, I ordered a small cup of half pistachio/half dulce de leche with the Marvel mix on top (rainbow sprinkles/chocolate crunchies). It hit the spot, although it did not seem as creamy as it was the last time I had it. Service was ok, not the friendliest though. If I'm around the area, I may pop back. read more

Visit Date: August 29, 2022 I have so many yelp reviews to catch up on, gotta do a little each day until they're all complete and keep up with my elite reputation. I decided to take my son here last night. My family was supposed to watch him for me to go to an AA meeting but that turned into a fiasco because sometimes it just does with my family. This time it was kind of a legitimate fiasco though. So I had my ex meet me at a meeting spot in Baldwin for him to drop off my son and after dragging my kid on two uber eats runs that he didn't want to do with me, I asked him if he wanted to get ice cream so we ended up at Marvel for the first time. I had the peanut butter yogurt in a cone with crunchies, my son had the chocolate ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and a cherry. It was good but the peanut butter flavor wasn't as peanut buttery as other peanut butter ice creams or frozen yogurts I've tried. Marvel is cash only so if you're planning to stop by make sure to have that cash on you. The service is also window service only. I'm not sure if they shut down for the winter or not. I love my ice cream which is why I didn't stay vegan for long when I tried to do it at the end of last year and Marvel is a decent ice cream stop. read more

I routinely see Marvel in the annual best ice cream lists on Long Island and I can see why. It's only soft serve but most definitely worth a stop in if you're hanging out at the beach. Their vanilla is of course excellent but my favorite was their banana frozen yogurt which was just the perfect balance of banana and vanilla flavors. Portions were also really generous, what's not to like? Thumbs up. read more

You can never go wrong with Marvel. It is the best ice cream which is telling by the line that is usually wrapped around it. Every time I come it is absolutely delicious. I usually get the chocolate and vanilla twist with rainbow sprinkles. My gf has gotten the pistachio and last time she got the peanut butter and probably repeated 100x that it was amazing and tasted just like a Reese's. It is all CASH, so don't forget that when you are looking for this perfect treat. read more

I'm never disappointed when I come here for my pistachio ice cream fix. They also have the sugar free version but not a fan. Pom mango twist is my second favorite. Heads up! If you're not a local resident the Long Beach guest-stopo charge you $15 to enter the beach. The Board walk is open to the public for free. Even though the beach slows down this marvel of a ice cream shop stays open till 10pm in Long Beach and 11pm at Lido. read more

Over the summer I'm driving my Jeep with the top down, I swing by to see my Yelp brother Jason C. We do some guy back slaps and have a few beers and burgers. Hubby was bored so he looked up some place to go. We found this place on line. It looked cute so drove down to get some ice cream and hangout at the beach. We were worried that it would be crowded but it wasn't bad. There's a small lot where you get to stay for 15 minutes. We wore our masks and stayed six feet from everyone and ordered some our ice cream. I had strawberry, pistachio twist. Hubby had a sundae with butterscotch and Reeses Pieces. They were both great but we both loved the flavor of pistachio and strawberry. They were not skimpy with ice cream either. I followed the bat signal and went in to check out the wide selection of cookies and ice cream. Service was excellent. The 2 girls working there were super friendly, patient, and helpful with us. The bathrooms rarely have hand soap aswell and the only reason they haven't shut down is because there's 0 competition nearby and tourist are unaware of how overpriced and underwhelming the fro yo is until they've already payed.

I got a taro float with a matcha and taro soft serve on top. The floats are only available in the larger size for the boba drinks. The boba drinks are available in cool flavors such as horchata, black sesame, lychee, passion fruit, taro, Vietnamese ice coffee, etc. Each topping is $1. I'm looking forward to getting more soft serve, trying the gelato options, and Dubai strawberry cup in the future. The space has a few tables and chairs for people to hangout and enjoy their desserts. A few parking spots available along Sunrise highway.
