Extremely passive aggressive. The fro yo has been melted on numerous occasions, and the toppings aren't cleaned regularly. Marshmallows always clumped together, Mango rotting, and still overpriced. The bathrooms rarely have hand soap aswell and the only reason they haven't shut down is because there's 0 competition nearby and tourist are unaware of how overpriced and underwhelming the fro yo is until they've already payed. read more

Came in looking to buy a açaí bowl, but their açaí bowls are made with a premix that has blueberries in it (allergic). No one was behind the register when we arrived, so I looked around. Toppings out where my daughters could reach out and touch them, the lighting was terrible throughout the space, dimly lit, no instructions on how to get the yogurt or whatever were in the machines (one or two of which were not in service). When the young lady finally came from the back (3-5 minutes after we arrived), she said the part about the açaí bowls, so I ordered a mango smoothie, which was good in flavor, but lumpy, with one big mango chunk in it. We always stop in here whenever we are in Long Beach. This time was the first time visiting it during the pandemic (may 2021). It was a little different since you now have to circle what you want on a piece of paper and the nice lady behind the counter does/gets it for you. I don't know or believe Long Beach is known for many frozen treats beyond some gelato spots, but leave it up to froyo chain Tutti Frutti to put self serve froyo on the LI beach map. This is the perfect post-beach treat during the summer time, just be mindful that on weekends the place is a zoo. The principal benefit to self serve froyo is portion control. Get as much or as little as you'd like, the bill depends on it. But when the line is piling up, most patrons have no choice but to hurry it up. Forget presentation / style points, This is a pump and dump of random yogurt flavors, many of which might taste weird when mixed together. Don't forget about the sticky handles, ugh. Then there is the staff, mainly composed of high school kids in the fall turned froyo billing folks in the summer. They're not always the friendliest bunch, but they're much better when there is less of a crowd of beach goers. The soccer mom crowd is also quite active here and while the decor is nice, never being able to find a seat is not. Froyo folks may find the prices a bit offsetting, but it is Tutti Frutti after all. The yogurt is typical and the toppings are uber sweet. Beware of random froyo flavors, they don't make for the best combo and try to eat it immediately before the global warming highs turn it all back into soup. read more

Overpriced and the worker (possibly new) was rude and obviously aloof. I had come in with my mother and she had finished her order before me. When I did get to the ordering counter, the worker insinuated that I cut the line and had to wait for "someone else" despite the fact that I literally spoke to my mother right in front of her face and had been at the shop before the customers behind me. It was actually recommended by one of the food truck guys on the broadwalk. They have a decent amount of yogurt selection. Limited seating but you have option of sitting inside, outside, or just take it and go. A great place to enjoy a cold frozen yogurt after a day at the beach. This is one of those serve-yourself frozen yogurt places where you can choose from a variety of frozen yogurt flavors and then there's a counter of many different toppings you can add as well. The frozen yogurt is decent. I especially like the European tart plain one which always tastes fresh and healthy and delish. Peanut butter is also really good, uses coconut milk, and is vegan. There's an almond one that is subtle and nice. The strawberry one was a little bit artificial for my taste, but seems to be popular. There was also chocolate and birthday cake and a lot of other flavors that vary. You pay by the weight. A good helping of two flavors in a "small" bowl (which is a decent size), will run you about five or six bucks. The negative is that it is kind of a bleak unappealing place aesthetically. No frills is fine but the air conditioning never seems to be on or working, which is not what you want in the summertime. It's not hot in there, but it's also not cool in there. And there were a few times where the floor was dirty or the tables needed to be wiped down. Recently I walked in and a guy was cleaning everything, and the place had a better feel to it, so maybe they are cleaning the floors and tables more often now. But the yogurt area is clean; it was the eating area that was the issue. It's definitely worth it to go there and get your yogurt and leave, or to sit briefly and have it, but it's not a "let's meet there and catch up" kind of place. What a wonderful yogurt place. I loved the pomegranate yogurt flavor and strawberry yogurt. The toppings were very good. I got blueberries, strawberries that are so fresh. The staff are really nice and friendly. We came with our bicycles and we brought them into the yogurt shop. The yogurt was so delicious I d definitely recommend the place if you are around Long Beach Area in Long Island. As for their service systems it's fairly simple and self serve, the cups are way oversized but as is typical for these sorts of places. With that said You can get a half of cup (the smallest they have) and a topping or 2 (I got sprinkles and a couple cherries) and spend about $3.50. Pretty standard froyo place. If you ask the worker at the counter for samples, someone will meet you at the yogurt dispenser machines and give you samples. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. There were water cups, which was nice since my friends and I were parched from the beach. I actually managed to put 4 yogurt flavors in my cup (to try more flavors cuz I felt bad asking the worker for more than 3 samples... I get fomo with food and need to try everything ok??). But my favorite flavors were pistachio and almond. The cookies n cream was too chocolatey for my liking. And I didn't like the soy peanut butter because the taste was overpowering the other flavors. There was a wide range of the standard toppings and I liked how some of them were in easy dispenser bottles. The brownie bits were a little stale but it wasn't a big deal. I'm absolutely a fan of this place and was surprised to just realize that I didn't write a review for it. There are plenty of places on this block in which you can get ice cream, italian ices and other frozen goodies but nothing compares to Tutti Fruiti. It's the type of dessert that you crave in a very specific way once you've had it. The cookies and cream (a bit chocolatey) , taro (tart) and birthday cake (sweet and creamy) are consistently my favorite flavors (I get all three) and luckily they are almost always in rotation. I must also say that the service is very quick, the bar has every topping that you can expect (from unhealthy to a wide arrange of fruits and sauce) and the staff is always very nice. We just tried to do our part by patronizing a small business in our town and well, we should have picked a different business. According to the staff we had to let them prepare our order instead of doing it ourselves like we usually do. No big deal right? We wrote down our order, paid, took the bag and went home. Except when we got here every container was nor more than 1/3 to 1/2 full, every one so there is no way this is a mistake. And, since they charge by size, not weight we got royally screwed. One of many yogurt spots in Long Beach but so far this would be my favorite. They always have a new flavor for the most part and they have a big selection of both frozen yogurt and toppings. I like the fact it's self serve and what you pay is based on how much you fill your cup. So with that be careful and don't get too trigger happy because I've seen some people pay up to $15 per cup because they went crazy with toppings. One thing that deters me is Tutti Frutti has turned into a local hang out spot for all of the kids and soccer moms so it does have its loud tendencies and seats are hard to find at times. I just love walking into a store whose walls pour out fro-yo!! There's no sense of control but to just go overboard - how can you not want to taste each and every flavor? I must have poured out about every flavor and layering it up w/ fresh cut fruit, chocolate sprinkles, baby Reese's cups and who knows what other yummy goodness...it almost reached a pound....i believe it was almost 15 ounces. Best flavor - almond. Yum....the flavor can be best describes as aromatic. Woman behind the counter was very nice and loved that they had a water cooler where you can see the thinly sliced lemons inside. I am always down to try a new Froyo place and when my boyfriend and I unexpectedly ended up in Long Beach to watch the sunset, I of course searched on Yelp for Frozen Yogurt and Tutti Frutti happily popped up! We had opposing flavors as always--me going for the creamy and delicious, him going for the fruity and refreshing. I got the red velvet, peanut butter and cheesecake. They were all creamy and tasty. When it comes to "junk foods" or "snack foods", American portion sizes are so ridiculously out of control. I'm one of those people who has to order appetizers at a restaurant when I go out to eat - or I ask for half-portions or "kid-sized" meals. The cups that they offer here are some of those shocking sizes (they are HUGE!)....but I really love the fact that I can pick up a small cup, choose how much soft serve actually ends up inside, and load on toppings like real chunks of fresh, cold mango & strawberries, and other real pieces of fruit or sweet treats, and they weigh the cup so you only pay for how much you take.
