He removed every single leaf & trace of debris that he cleared out, texted me before & after pics and also recommended solar panel cleaning. That first impeccable experience with him sold me on being a regular client. Fast forward to this week. This will be the 5th year that Jonathan has cleaned my gutters & solar panels. Like clockwork, every year he texts me a reminder when it's time for my annual cleaning. I really appreciate being able to rely on him to remind me! I also appreciate that Jonathan remembers important specific details that I only had to tell him the very first time I scheduled with him. He knows that my tenant lives in the back, so he'll start early but only on the front if the house. He always makes sure my tenant can have his normal, quiet morning. Jonathan is so reliable that I have been a loyal client - but have never even met him in person. My family discovered Happy Home Cleaning on the ThumbTack app and chose their services based on the…read morepositive reviews and moderate pricing. We hired them to clean 2 units for a total of 4 hours and provided a prioritized list of things to be done (e.g. 1. showers, 2. sinks, 3. kitchen appliances). The expectation was that the showers in both units get done first, then the sinks in both units, then the kitchen appliances in both units...) and they would proceed down the list until time ran out. The units were vacant since we had not moved in yet, so we didn't realize until later that they only cleaned one unit and stayed 5 hours without checking with us to see if we wanted to extend the time, which costs extra. While the cleaning that they did do was very good, the misunderstanding was unexpected. Communication was not unclear through text messages and the owner was professional and respectful throughout the process but AI or translating features may have been used because in-person, there was a bit of a language barrier. I wish they would have asked for clarity if they did not understand our request. We had to have them come out the next day to clean the second unit. This ended up doubling our intended time and cost. The owner later advised that if time/cost is an issue, that we could provide a list of tasks in order of importance and request they only complete what fits within the allotted timeframe, which is EXACTLY what we wrote and expressed orally for them to do...not for them to do low-importance items and work until all jobs are done. Why would we have done a walkthrough of two units if we wanted all 4 hours (which they exceeded anyways) spent on only one unit? Again, the cleaning that they did was really nice, so I would recommend them for your home, but I will caution you to make your needs very clear and even then, check in regularly to make sure they are following the plan according to the agreed upon job (e.g. go in order of the list, stop at the appropriate time, no hidden/extra fees). Also, Happy Home Cleaning did not provide their own step stool and were almost unable to do tall things like kitchen cabinets, fans, etc. This should be brought. Best wishes for a smooth ride!
