I went to Mark optical to get my work safety glasses, and also some everyday street glasses. I started with an Office visit with Dr. Harris to get my prescription. He and his staff took time to explain everything, and I did not feel rushed. Then when it was time to select my glasses, I found that they had a huge selection of glasses to choose from and they also took my insurance so I did not pay much out-of-pocket I would definitely return. in 2001 was in a near death accident, 200 psi 12" water line exploded & blew me out of a 4-1/2 ditch by my face!! from the corner of left eye to bridge of my nose , down left sinuses, nose split in 2 pieces. between eye brows a 1" diam. hole to my skull . only certain type lightweight glasses can be worn!! have to have a saddle or bridge soft rubber , or i cannot stand them on my face !!! i broke my frames , dalton searched the whole store and found glasses frames that would work for my problem!!! (great employee puts his heart in his work & really cares for the customers)!!! i highly recomend daltonto all customers!!! they cut my lenses to fit the titanium frams (extremely lightweight feel great !!! and not that expensive , very happy) read more

I went a few months ago. It was like cattle being corralled. Too many people being seen caused a terrible wait. I had an appointment scheduled and kept it perfectly. It took THEM THREE HOURS. I have never been anywhere like that where they see as many as they can cram in just to get the money. My contact lenses he prescribed me didn't even fit my eye so I will not wear them. No way I'm going to waste hours more on a refit, I'll get a new prescription from another doctor when my insurance will pay again. Do NOT go here. They are rude and rushed but they are the ones intentionally overbooking! read more

Came in today for my Husbands appointment! The both of us needed glasses so we were assigned to Kristina for help. Not only was she attentive but she has amazing customer service! She made our experience fun and truly listened to our needs in finding frames we love. We will definitely be coming back and working with her. I went to Marx just for an eye exam. I just wanted a new prescription. The last visit I had in 2017. did not go well when it came to getting glasses. I got some too small for my face and it went downhill from there. Today I decided to give them another chance. Everything went great. I am very pleased with everything. I came with a prescription for new glasses with prisms in both lens given to me by my doctor to correct my double vision. Kathy greeted me, explained that the glasses could be made within an hour and I could receive them on the same day. She assisted me in selecting frames and explained all my concerns and patiently answered the questions I had about insurance, costs, etc. She then introduced me to Kristina who took measurements of my eyes and read my prescription preparing the information that would be needed by those who would make the lens, all the while making me so comfortable by her professionalism and knowledge of her skill. I had never been to Marx for glasses but my experience was a very good one and I highly recommend Marx Optical in Decatur, especially the two staff members who assisted me -- Kathy and Kristina.
