Some of the unusual snacks I discovered were fizzy Oreos, Cotton Candy flavored Starburst, Lucky Charms pancake mix, and a Twix flavored drink. I am a fan of Japanese snacks and candy and I saw things here I have never seen before. The owner was so friendly too. They only drawback I found was the prices were on the high side. For instance the Ramune, a Japanese soda known for their glass marble was expensive. I have found them for as low as a $1.50 a bottle in Five Below and they were selling it for $5 and $6 a bottle here. Of course they had Hello Kitty and flavors I have never seen before, where as Five Below carries the more basic flavors. I think Petezpop is more for the true collector who plans on displaying the bottles. I enjoyed checking them out though. It would be nice if they put prices and where they are from on the items. You have to ask what everything costs. If you can't make it in person they have a online store with free shipping on orders over $75.

I had always been curious about this shop and you can't really tell much about it from the outside because the windows are blacked out. In the spirit of adventure we decided to check it out. Inside the store is a welcoming room filled with all sorts of British treats. There is a frozen food section in the back with sweet and savories. Lining the shelves are baking mixes, crisps, sauces, seasonings, tea, pantry items, cookies, jellies, and British souvenirs. They had a large selection of candy for Easter and my daughter and I had fun picking out sweets to try out. Some of our selections included Cadbury Double decker, Fruit Gums, Chewits, Nestle Yorkie, Swizzles Refreshers, and Poppets! The British Depot is a family run business and we had a nice chat with Bryan who was covering the store while his daughter Chelsea was away on her honey moon. It has been dubbed "the biggest little store in the world," I stopped in during a visit to the Green Market to get a Gatorade and while it was convenient for a quick snack or drink I was surprised see all they had to offer. Among their many items are costume jewelry, greeting cards, Florida souvenirs, seasonal decorations, clothing, and accessories, You can even purchase alcohol. Some of my favorite finds were the mermaid earrings, fall gnomes, and the coastal Christmas ornaments, especially the snowman made of sand because that's how we roll in South Florida. If you have a need on Clematis Street, this diverse store can probably cover it.

As the resident Neanderthal at the party, I thought tiramisu was specific to the Italian coffee/chocolate tasting concoction enjoyed everywhere by all. Who wouldathunk? Certainly not me. So as not to belabor the point, the desert defrosted I enjoyed a slice of blissfulness. I imagine this is what heaven on earth would be like for foodies. It is seriously that good. The downside is that you can't readily locate a retailer and pick up some for yourself. At least not yet. The whisper campaign around Sweet Elegance is that their products will in the near future be featured at some of Palm Beach County's finest food retailers. I can't wait!
