I was very excited to try this place based on the stellar reviews I saw online but I was left less than impressed. I was in the mood for good food & to try a new restaurant so I got on Yelp & ended up here. It's a food truck but there's a tent area with chairs & tables so a fan or 2 is definitely needed in the Florida heat & I understand that this is Florida but I was seeing lizards I've never seen before but it was very clean under there. We ordered fried shrimp , crab cake sandwich , & conch fritters with fries. The guy taking the order wasn't personable at all. My fries were cold & soggy. The conch fritters were fresh & very big but they were raw inside & the crab cake was extremely salty. I won't be back. read more

Went here for the first time today with my son. We both got the blackened mahi sandwich and it was delicious!! Great portions, couldn't eat it all. Fries were fresh, coke was cold. So excited to go back!! Only issue is that it's just so hot at noon in a parking lot- maybe a few fans to create a breeze and keep flies away would be a good addition. Went there Friday and purchased 2# of Key West shrimp and two Mahi filets. The shrimp was NOT fresh, it was gross! It wasn't firm, not pink, it stunk, and there were 2 flies in the bag. I had to trash it which really pissed me off. The only reason for a "3" is because the Mahi was good! That's the last time going there for me. Since I moved from NYC I haven't really missed much, except for great fish markets. I'm not talking about a supermarket's seafood department. I'm talking about whole-fish, as fresh as is possibly available commercial/retail type fish market. My fish monger grail-esque quest ended hapilly with my finding Independent Seafood; family-owned and in business since 1972. This is my kinda place. On my inaugural visit I bought whole loup-de-mare/branzino (to the ahristi) or lavraki to the Greeks; Patagonian toothfish (Chilean sea bass to the ahristi); and, cod. I was tempted to pickup some red snappers and local caught pompanos; but I thought it a better idea to return. My best guess is that I dealt with one of the owners. If he wasn't an owner, then their staff is first-rate because I believed the dude to be part of the 'familia.' The place looks shady x 2 from the outside. But its the real deal. They do significantly mode wholesale to top restaurants than they do retail. This is a good thing because they turn-over fish quickly. And buying fish is all about buying it as fresh as humanly possible. If you enjoy fish as I do, then from my perspective there's no better place in Palm Beach County than Independent Seafoods! read more

It's very small. All of their product is in the back room hidden. Crab legs are $25 a pound. They add a complimentary bracelet and menu with your order.
