The staff is really good with the kids and they offer many activities/sports to keep them busy. If you are in the morning program they open at 6:30 am and walk your child to their school right before the bell rings. If your child is in afternoon program they are there waiting for your child before bell rings to leave and walk them back to Boys & Girls club. Highly recommend them.

She was busy on the phone and I had to wait for a few minutes just to get some info for sports. While waiting I was surprised by the kid's behavior. They were running around, cussing, and some were outside in the front unattended to. I don't know if this the normal for this place but I know that I would never in a million years sign my kids up for their after school program. I am signing my kids up for some sports programs but I will be there with them. Hopefully they are more organized then when I stopped in. I will definitely update my review after we do a program. BTW, they have a lot of really cool (hopefully) programs for kids of all ages. If baseball goes well I will definitely sign all the kids up for something.

I've been in other sports with my kids, and it didn't really seem like they were having fun. The tumbling, handspring's, cart wheels, and acrobatics flying through the air keep the kids interested, and really get them in great shape. I've never seen more six packs on kids in my life. We're welcoming the new clinical nurse's assistants (CNA) & Med Techs to lessen the overall workload of those already here. Our meals have improved in size & varieties. The activities director keeps residents engaged with fun things to do, but a lack of enthusiasm from most residents make actually going little more than a time suck. I'm still getting really settled in after 14 mos, so it's understandable. What I find just as hurtful as it is unprofessional is the caustic, back-biting demeanors of Some of the top managers. It's really quite stupid to bring such mean, middle school,cliche-ish behavior to work. Serves only to put how little regard u have towards the people u work for on Blast! ESPECIALLY,those residents who suffer with dementia-related issues, who may lose their way or not comply with salty directives given by employees who "are just sooo tired of a res's limitations!" Whether I have to literally force the director to say a greeting is one thing, but the next time I overhear a certain sawed-off worker berate any resident by loudly making one of us feel "Less than" crap , I'll have to speak to Karen about it. I had previously had her enrolled in swimming lessons but saw no growth in the few months we were attending. In the first month I saw her learn and apply her techniques. I appreciate the ability to make up a class within 30 days and ability to switch classes based off of availability. They do monthly check ins with your child to see their progress and promote them to the next level once they are ready. Each level has its own set of techniques/longer second increments of specific skills as well.

They offered a free Spring Break sports camp for kids. The first day was a basketball day, the second was a volleyball day and the third was a fun zone day (musical chairs and mostly dodge ball). The camps were split up by age group, which I thought was super appropriate. My 10 year old enjoyed learning the sports as she's never played any of them. The coaches were knowledgeable, kind and inclusive. They made sure the kids were following the rules and participating without being pushy. This sports camp was just the right amount of time for my daughter to figure out which one she wants to continue. Each day was full of drills that were a good mix of easy, medium and difficult skills. My daughter was able to make friends so that was a plus! My daughter wants to come back for their summer sports camp in July!

The gym is not new by any means but is kept up and clean. The parking lot does get packed on Saturdays because not only do they host events in the gym but they also host baseball games so the parking can get filled very fast. The parking lot does not seem suitable for this size park, with this many events going on at the same time. Other than that the place is just OK nothing special. Honorable Mention: Parking on Saturdays is horrible
