I was so overwhelmed & impressed that this organization offers free resources to those who have cancer. Many volunteers unselfishly donate their time and there are so many donors, who generously donate items, services, counseling, etc. They believe that nobody should face cancer alone. I was honored to meet the new director, Joella, who was the sweetest & most patient young lady! She has so much empathy because she is a breast cancer survivor herself. We were given a tour of their phenomenon facility! Just color me in awe! This is a wonderful, much needed resource.

Western Eagle receives donations from places like Whole Foods, CVS, Target, etc. Each day they have a fresh food box that you can pick up for $15. You get refrigerated items and fresh produce. A few things in the box are shelf stable. It's a wonderful deal for people on a food budget. Many times they have free items with purchase such as Krispy Kreme doughnuts, fruits, veggies and various other items. Last summer we got flats of free fresh tomatoes and canned tomato sauce. It's always a new experience here because there are always new items.

It's best to make a reservation online for a specific time that you want to swim so you don't have to share a lane ($5 for non-residents, $1 for residents). You can make these reservations online up to 30 minutes before your desired start time; lanes are available up to two weeks in advance. There are limited drop-in spaces. Swimmers must be at least 12 years of age and able to swim continuous laps. Restrooms are available for you to change, as well as an outdoor shower to rinse off the chlorine. Just keep swimming!
