A group of volunteers from the Davie Community church run this thrift shop. They take donations…read morearound the back. Everyone is helpful and hard working. They keep the prices low and their inventory changed from week to week. I've dropped off bags a few times and I've found some nice crystal vases while looking around. They really care for the poor in the area as they have a food bank on Friday's. They give free bread at the thrift shop on Saturday. Then they have a service on Sunday where they have a meal together and invite the homeless to join them.

The Mustard Seed Thrift Store is a ministry outreach of the Davie United Methodist Church. You can find it in a small building to the left of the church. The Mustard Seed Thrift Shop is open every Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM. The thrift store is staffed with church volunteers and they take donations while the store is open. They accept and sell gently used clothing, children's toys and clothes, and small household items. Prices are very in expensive, clothing is only a dollar for an example and the church provides clothing vouchers for those in need if they contact the church office. I saw some interesting glass items, some of which may have been vintage. Patient church volunteers were giving a math lesson to some children buying toys. Although on the small side, this is a cute, welcoming store and the prices can't be beat. There are also several other thrift stores in the area so you can add the Mustard Seed to a thrifting circuit in Davie.

You can find anything from antiques, collectibles, dishes, clothes, even a very large wild boar head. I thought some of the prices were high however signs throughout the location indicate prices are negotiable. Staff was friendly and greeted everyone as they entered. There is a scavenger hunt with a prize if you find all the items. You can even buy your beer as you browse. I am sure some people spend hours here. There is limited parking along the side of the building on the street. I am not a thrifter but it was fun to browse Oddballs.

Didn't even know this Goodwill was here. I came to pick up my kid at Off The Wall next door and I stopped here to see what books they might have. I was disappointed when I saw all their books fit on a 6-foot folding table. Usually at the thrift stores I've been to, they have several bookcases of books. It's all good because I found a Ruth Ware book that is on my TBR list. For only $1. I'm currently reading The It Girl by the same author. Hopefully they will build up their book selections. Other than that, they had an abundance of everything else. Kudos on such a clean and organized store all in all.

Everything is separated by color not size so to find something you have to look through ALL 50 pairs of jeans, or 40 black shirts etc. there is a ton of stuff. Could not even get to a 1/3 of it. The employees are putting things away and constantly trying to take clothes out of people's baskets to hang back up!! Then at 6:30 all of a sudden one lady as my niece is in the changing room starts yelling no more no more and telling me to leave the area i told her my niece is in the room. She was "shooing" me away. I told her again. Then she turned to another employee and said in Spanish " this b*tch doesn't even know English". But guess what? I am fluent in Spanish. They have the latest vintage fashions with tons of different categories and sizes. This is a decent size warehouse located in Hialeah Gardens, FL. Easy to find and not far from the Palmetto Hwy. They have many bins full of all types of clothing ranging from $3 - $15 for most items. They also have several racks of hanging clothing with price tags ranging from $10 - $40+. They also have accessories like hats, shoes, belts, and more. I was happy to see they have a vintage comic book selection as well. I liked the vintage decor and openness of this place. Open, airy and laid back. There is also plenty of free parking. They offer dressing room areas, bathrooms and a member discount for being a repeat customer. You can purchase vintage and retro clothing in bulk or by the piece. You'll love this place if you grew up shopping Salvation Army and Goodwill. I bought some comic books (4) as a gift for my nephew and a sesshomaru vintage tie dye tee for myself. I paid a total of $25. Not bad. My husband pointed out the large strobe lights around the ceiling area along with a big disco ball in the center of the ceiling stating "I think this place turns into a club at night." I enjoyed peeking through their large room and smaller back rooms of furniture, small appliances, household items, books, clothes, art, and accessories. They sell vintage and antique items with some modern things thrown in. My favorite area was the adorable kitchen room. You could practically see a grandma standing there baking a pie. If had enough space, I would have scooped up those sweet ceramic vegetable trinket boxes. Everything was actively arranged and clearly priced. Take your time and look closely. There are a lot of cool things to see and prices can be negotiated. The Flip Side has another store in Ft. Lauderdale on Cypress Creek Road in Ft. Lauderdale.
