Have been wonderful, and are the reason we've come back time and time again. Spending ten's of thousands of dollars. This is about the OWNER, the Veterinarian, Dr. Grasshoff. My girlfriend has been going to this vet well over 8 years. The loving and nurturing staff, led by Salena are amazing. While being boarded, our dog had 2 seizures. Out of nowhere. We brought them a healthy dog, however, without the insight of paying for an autopsy, no one knows what happened. A litany of tests were run as we were encouraged to come quickly as they didn't think our beloved dog would make it. Well, she didn't. She was a good dog. A really really good dog. With no clear answers to give us comfort, you would think the Veterinarian my girlfriend has been seeing for almost 8 years would get a hug, a hand held, an affectionate "I'm sorry". She got none of it. Instead, we got an attitude of "I have other things to do". I dare not question her abilities, I'm sure MEDICALLY, our dog was given superb care, and every opportunity to live. But I do question her ability to CARE. I walked in the room, with our teary eyed kids to our dead dog on a table, wrapped in a blanket and witnessed an individual who's lost touch with her client base. Empathy goes a long way. Despite this, this clinic refused to perform an enema unless we repeated diagnostics and continued recommending a surgical procedure estimated around $1,000. What made the situation especially frustrating is that we were told they could not perform an enema because anesthesia would be too risky due to our cat's heart murmur, yet the surgery they recommended would also require full anesthesia. That reasoning made very little sense to us. We sought a second opinion, and another veterinarian reviewed the recent labs and took a much more practical approach. They placed our cat in a warm bath, gave him fluids for dehydration, and performed the enema without anesthesia, providing immediate relief. The second vet also explained that surgery was not appropriate given our cat's age. We understand clinics have policies, but refusing basic relief care while pushing expensive procedures was extremely frustrating while our animal was suffering. Please do not respond to this review attempting to justify the situation. We have already moved on to another clinic and will not be returning.

The receptionist stated that she would ask and let me know at that time what the best course of action would be. Fast forward, I receive a phone call at 4:45pm from the office with instructions. I had honestly, forgotten that I had called the office as it had been such a long period between the time of the calls while my day was extremely busy. I am happy that my pet didn't need specialized care as they totally dropped the ball on that situation. In addition, both of our dogs were taken here for a physical exam a two months ago. The exam was unremarkable. Today, I realized I need a written prescription for their monthly heart worm medications mailed to the online pharmacy service used. I called and asked for a prescription and was told that I will be charged $10 for each prescription due to "the time it takes the vet to write the prescription." Absolutely, disgusting, it is literally a point and click to approve or refill and print such, never again. New veterinarian was contacted today.

Despite the place being completely empty, the staff told us they were "fully booked" and refused to provide any care or even basic help. They simply told us to go somewhere else. I can't imagine turning away an injured animal like that. If this were a human emergency, this behavior would be unthinkable.
