Recently took my cat here. The vet tech and primary vet were both kind and gentle with her, which I appreciated greatly. They also explained everything to me, were happy to answer any questions, and seemed very transparent with pricing. I also observed multiple regulars come in for appointments and to buy pet food. I noticed how happy each client seemed, and how comfortable they seemed chatting with the receptionist. This impressed me as well. The process was smooth, and I had no complaints. We followed Dr. Crider from another vet office, mainly because our dog has a massive crush on her. She's treated him since he was a puppy. Actually she's treated all of our dogs, aged 10 to 5, since they were all puppies. They don't do unnecessary treatments, and listen to your concerns. Super friendly staff and Minerva the cat is very patient with our overly nosey dog. (she loves going because of the kitty in the waiting room). Highly recommend and trust the staff here. Our dogs and cats have been patients of NPAH for probably ten years now, maybe as long as Dr Jackson has had the office open. I've seen all three vets and would gladly recommend each of them. They're great with big dogs (even the scarier ones)! My favorite thing is that they listen to you and don't try to sell you products/services that you don't need. Maybe that's my second favorite thing. Truthfully, they've seen five of our dogs through to end of life services and both the vets and the staff are sympathetic and beyond kind in those final moments. I can imagine having to help other families say their good byes to their pets can also have its challenges. I'm only giving this place 1 star because the tech that was with Dr.Crider was absolutely amazing. I cannot wait for her to become a vet. As for the rest. Dr. Crider has the worst bed side manner. This was my first time coming to this clinic on a recommendation, and my last, and the minute this woman comes in she has an attitude. I let it slide because we are all human and have days that are not so good. I know she's not very perspective because of she was, she would have been seen how scared and worried I was about bringing my 2 cats in. She informs me in the most rudest manner that one of my cats is aggressive (that's me putting it nicely because she used other words). I think I was pleasant with her the whole time in hopes she would be a bit friendlier but no. I hope this review just makes you aware of this place. Now I will say I do not know Dr. Jackson and if you have cats, maybe try her first. Oh I forgot to mention they sedated my cat and it took him over 6 hours to snap out of it and when I spoke with Dr. Crider today to inform her that he peed on himself several times and about him coming out of sedation, she didn't care. I took my little puppy in after adopting him from a nasty shelter. He ended up with kennel cough along with a nasty amount of worms and little here and there infections. Dr. Crider could not have been more amazing! She is so caring and loving with my puppy!! Also calls and double checks on him a few days after the appointment! She's the best! read more

Dr. Jackson and her staff were so very nice and most of all prompt with their diagnosis on my dog. I was amazed to not be in a waiting room for a long time, but instead the technician came almost immediately - asked a number of questions, and then my dog saw Dr. Jackson. She then returned to me and explained his issues and recommendations on treatment. We then paid and were able to start his medications with very few delays. I cannot recommend her and this hospital enough. read more

My first interaction with Northpointe was a few months ago when I brought my oldest pup in because he wasn't doing well and had to make the decision to put him down. They were wonderful with the situation and handled me well when I was emotional, but I didn't think that I could write a review just based on that. I have now taken my 2 other pups in for more routine appointments-heartworm tests, vaccinations, teeth cleaning. They remain very good with me and my dogs. Friendly and professional, and explain things thoroughly. Their prices seem in line with others in the area. Given my range of experiences at this point, I would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

Moved into the area Boudreaux & Hwy-249 & was looking for a vet clinic for my 3 dogs. Found this place & it's very conveniently located on Hwy-249 at Northpointe. Decided not to go here b/c their office visit is $12 more than all the other vet clinics that I've been to & to get my dog's glands expressed it's $6 more. Over time that really adds up when you're going once a month! So we've decided to go to another vet. I'm not saying this is a bad one (esp by the reviews I've read about NPAH, just expect to pay more every time you visit. read more

Could not say anything better about this practice! They never suggest things my dog needs that aren't necessary. I made a mistake and ran out of his pills, and she was able to get a refill ready for me to pick up within hours. The staff there is fantastic as well as the doctors! I was very impressed come last month they saved my dogs life. That being said I have 4 dogs and was happy to find a confident vet. Just moving here from calif . . . Very happy. Passed thier cards around my entire hoa complex. Yet Today I went in with my other dog w an emergency . Long story Short we were there 2 hrs for a 1/2 Visit. I was Given my estimate And said " do it " . Didn't even question. 356.00 later . I had forgotten 2 cans of dog food for my other dog in which he is being seeing Monday. I was late for a ssi appt. Everything was already in the car. They were aware My phone was dead and I couldn't miss this appt . I forget my other dogs food. I asked them to please bill me /add to my bill when I come in Monday w my other dog. (Mind you it was 2'cans for a total of 4.60) . She said she had to ask The manager. I said I waited 39 Mins longer than I was told. I did EVERYTHING on the est. In which I didn't need to. But knowing I could not miss my appt I was in a hurry and my purse was in the car And I didn't want to put 4.60 On my CC. So I asked if they can add it to my bill Come Monday when I bring her in. She left To ask the manager . Really ? I've spent 800.00 in a month and this was 2 Cans of food. At 4.60. Knowing I'm coming back Monday and I had to hurry to my ssi appt. didn't even take a thing off my 356.oo bill today. . They said NO. They would NOT be able to add it to my upcoming bill in 3 days . Knowing I've been a great customer and given many recommendations . Knowing my dog needed the food. I just don't know what to say. I'm Not going to let this affect my dogs health. BUT THEY did . I spoke so highly of them. Passed out at LEAST 25 cArds to my hoa . And this happened . Knowing I waited 45 Mins for a 15 Min test. They knew my situation that my appt was coming up w ssi. But my dog was there for an ER visit. I've spent 800.00 in 4 Weeks . A can of 2.40 dog food should have been able to add to my bill come Monday for the follow up appt. just shows you maybe they aren't all that concerned for our furry family members. I easily Could have knocked off 100.00 of today's visit . It was a 2.40 Can of dog food . This has just cost them business I'm Sure with my Animal reccomendations. Very sad . I thought I had finally found a good vet. But for 2.40 . . Idk ! read more

Dr. Jackson and Dr. Crider are both incredible doctors. I have a very aggressive dachshund that even charged Dr. Jackson once and goes crazy every single time she comes in and they always smile and treat her with compassion. She barks & growls the entire time and causes a scene but they always know she's coming and has a separate room ready for her. Dr. Jackson has helped educate us and given meds to help with her aggressive/anxious behavior. Our other pup is a shitzu mix that we happily inherited a couple of years ago. On her first visit, Dr. Jackson noticed a heart murmur and let us know it could lead to heart problems and she would need monitoring. A couple of months ago we noticed her belly was swollen. Dr. Jackson knew right away it was serious and took the steps to get her scanned and tested quickly. We were so scared that we would lose her that weekend from heart failure. She wouldn't eat and was very sick. The first couple of weeks were scary and we called them a lot with questions and they were so kind and helpful. I truly cannot believe how well she is doing now. Now I have to stop her from wanting to play so much with me and the other dog and take it easy. I can't say how truly thankful I am to have more time with my sweet dog. I know I won't have her forever, but to go from that sick to almost back to her normal self is more than I could of asked for. The staff are so kind and knowledgeable. They call you and check on them. You can tell this clinic is managed well. We have been with them since moving here in 2015 and we couldn't be happier. I have an issue with my memory and they understand and take their time explaining things to me in a way I can understand. I know that when I bring my pups in that they will be treated like family, even when the dachshund is behaving like a maniac. I can't say enough positive things about both doctors and their wonderful staff. read more

RUN!!!!! They have taken advantage of the COVID-19 by padding bills. They do not show an itemized bill at the time of checkout. Instead they email it after payment! This place saved my cats life after I took her to my regular vets and she licked up some chemical while there. They were super attentive, kept her over night at no additional charge and called me everyday to update me or to check up on her after she came home. I walked in with a very sick cat and after two other different vet visits, I was hoping this place could give me the answers I needed so desperately. The place is beautiful and very clean with a very friendly staff. Dr. Jackson was very nice and informative and knew what was wrong with my cat pretty much right away. Unfortunately, it was an incurable disease & they couldn't help and he had to be put down :( I was so upset but they were very compassionate and understanding to how upset I was & made the whole process better. The price was fair too even though I was willing to pay anything to make him better. I will be coming back here for any future pet visits! I would recommend to anyone! read more

I love that they send me little postcards with a reminder on it that my dog is due for a shot or certain annual exams. I always forget about what tests need to be done and which shots he needs so I appreciate them reminding me. And Dr. Jackson is extremely kind. One time my dog ate a bunch of cotton and threw up. I got worried so they told me that I could bring him in early morning the next day and that they were going to keep an eye on him for the day to make sure everything was ok. They have amazing service and really care about our pets. They are a little expensive though. I which their services were a little cheaper because I end up spending around $200 each time when you add in the exams, heartworm medicine, flea prevention, ear cleaning, and etc. read more
