Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start!! We came in with my daughter and her getting a full head of highlights. Which was an argument within itself. I'm the parent you listen to what I say not a child. She had the toner put on after her hair was orange, which took her hair color back to a dark color. I mean, I'm sure it'll fade in time.. probably back to orange. They put a brand new girl on my daughter's hair did not know what she was doing. She did to an extent but not fully. My daughter ended up, leaving with What had to have been the toner all over the back of her sweater And her hair looking like poopie. I did say something and I was supposed to get a call back the next day. I have not as of yet and while we were there, two people came in with messed up haircuts. lol sorry not sorry. Her hair should be fixed. And like I told the girl she should have a more expensive hair straightener to straighten the hair. Not a crappy one from Walmart as this is supposed to be a high class full salon. These pictures are walking out of the salon. I'd be embarrassed!!! I am so happy with my visit to this Day spa. I only got to see one review, and thought I should not go. But I looked again and saw "FILTERD" reviews, and took a chance. Nice place and lots of love. They were ready to welcome me and I felt welcomed. My wax was very awesome. I like that they offer services with knowlage and excitment. Full price was a fair price, and I would go back for sure. Here is why I know it is worth it. I am in a like minded business, so YES, I am picky!!!! Mary Turner's salon is terrific! I have had my hair and nails done here for a couple of different events and they have done an outstanding job every time. What I really like is that they take the time to listen to what you want and ask lots of questions to make sure it is perfect. I would recommend them to anyone for any event as their prices are very reasonable. Also great for gift certificates when you aren't sure what to get that special someone. I've gotten massages here many times and they are out of this world! I took my mom for Mother's Day and we got two one-hour massages for $99! I thought that was a really good price and we both enjoyed it so much. The staff here is always so courteous. I got a text from my masseuse the day before, saying if we had any questions to call/text. I don't want to give five stars because they offer a lot of services and I haven't tried half of them! I wish I could give this spa zero stars... The experience that I had at Mary Turners Day Spa was Scandalous to say the least!! I purchased a Package for 3 IPL Photofacials from GROUPON & I was Shocked after my first visit by the low level of service that Mary Turner provided. She sells the discounted Groupon package to get you there but does not provide the full treatment that you should get unless you pay her full price. I will not be returning back to get the other 2 services that I paid for . This spa was a waste of my time and money. I have been getting IPL laser treatments for years so I know what the IPL Laser service entails and how the laser should feel. The IPL laser treatment to the face if thoroughly & correctly done takes at minimum of 30 minutes and hurts quite a bit. The IPL laser device that Mary used was barely felt against my face. She had the laser turned down to the lowest level possible which made the treatment ineffective it probably didn't even penerate dermis the way that the laser was suppose to have. She did not treat my entire face which the service called for. She did nothing to my forehead area, nose, or chin. She made 6-8 zaps total. She zapped the right side of my face 2 times, twice on both sides of my cheeks and a couple times to the left side of my face and she was done. I am not exaggerating when I say that she was done in 5 minutes with an entire procedure that usually takes 30 to 45 minute. NOT GOOD!!! She took more time trying to sell her products and upsell she services during the consultation than she did doing the laser treatment. I am totally disappointed with this purchase. The craziest part was that I informed her that I have had the procedure done in the past. I can not imagine what she does with someone who is totally unfamiliar with IPL protocol. The esthetician that works here is experienced and is educated in everything. She has had her license fir 4 years. She went the extra mile. Mary is very professional and educated. She teaches everything. This place offers everything. They run lots of specials. Beautiful building and very clean. Great products. Easy to schedule. read more

If you're looking for lash extensions Mary Turner Day Spa is the place to go. The lashes are high quality and long lasting. Mary takes her time applying them to give you perfection in a very relaxing environment. The spa is very nice and the staff welcoming. I have never left a bad review anywhere ever. But honestly I'm pretty much floored with how bad the service was. I'm in from out of town and needed a Brazilian laser treatment done. My skin is naturally tan so the laser needed to be adjusted to compensate for that. I was greeted by staff and everyone was lovely. I had three laser treatments at a previous place. So as my fourth time I was wondering why it hurt so badly. My skin was on fire afterwards for three hours (not normal) I woke up today and my skin was red and some other parts completely black. I call and tell the receptionist what happened and that I'm completely burned. All she said was sorry this can happen sometimes and to apply cold water compress, Neosporin and aloe Vera. Seriously? I know I signed a waiver but I definitely got the brush off. If you have tan skin DO NOT go here for laser. read more

First of all I have gotten a Brazilian at this salon and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I was 7 months pregnant at the time and yes it hurt like a mother! I expected that, I didn't expect the staff to be so wonderfully professional and fast! It was a great experience over all. Yes when she was finished there was wax left, but she showed me where everything wAs so that I could painlessly remove it on my own. This seemed much less awkward that having her meticulously remove left over wax from my "personal areas" Also I recently had my hair died here and I was not happy with the color. I called the next day and Mary herself was quick to offer a free service to fix it and make sure I was pleased. I was ecstatic upon leaving the second time. My hair looks incredible! When I go to have my hair died at a salon it is because I want a professional opinion and service, that is what I received. If I thought I knew anything about hair I would try to do it myself, but I don't! Nathan the stylist has the vision that I lack and was able to create the hair color I imagined and struggled to put into words! My experience here was not so great. Well first let me say that I give them three stars because of their customer service I forgot the woman's name but she was really nice and I suppose she tried her best. However the service is here for a full face wax was horrible I still have scars and I just felt as if she did not know what she was doing. She use one strip for each side of my face and basically was done until I had to keep finding bushes of hair left on every corner of my face... I was just visiting Pennsylvania so I'm glad I do not have to come back here. I will say that I do have ingrown hairs however the length of the hair that was left on my face should have been removed with the wax at the least. read more
