My husband and I drove over 2 hours just to get a 20 piece chicken and livers. I had eaten at the Myrtle Beach location years ago and chose to drive to this location to see if it was as good as Myrtle Beach. They only have a drive thru and the wait wasn't too long. The chicken was good as well as the chicken livers, but not as good as the other location previously mentioned. The chicken was very good! Everything was hot that was supposed to be hot. The coleslaw could use some work, we both found it to be too heavy on the mayo. The liver and gizzards were hot and fresh. My only wish is that we could eat there. Pick up only. read more

Our last time there, they left out a plate of food. When my son went all the way back, the person REFUSED to give it to him. He claimed he was looking at the order on the register and it wasn't there but yet refused to show my son. One thing I wish they'd do is put the food in a different container because the food ends up "steaming" and gets soggy rather than staying crispy. And they can take a long time to fill orders. read more

We are kind of new to the area, and in trying to find good fried chicken we decided to give Maryland Fried chicken a shot. My husband loves the fried chicken! ... I tried a piece and it was crispy and moist. Kind of yummy! -But they had fish on the menu and since I am a fish and chips junkie I couldn't pass it up! I don't think I've ever had better fried catfish in my life! Talk about done to perfection... Moist inside -crispy on the outside and I'm overwowed by it! I'm from the west. Fish and chips are always Cod or Halibut. Well I have a new respect and love for Catfish here in the south now! Somebody had said in a review the coleslaw was nothing but mayonnaise... Too bad. Yes it's made with mayonnaise, but believe me it's anything but! This place has the best --I mean Thee Very BEST Coleslaw in Summerville!! In fact we've never had better. And I would love to get the recipe. We love chicken livers but we can't get past the fish and chicken ever! I know the livers get great reviews And we are looking forward to trying them -someday!! One or 2 negatives... If you're not into instant potatoes, don't order the mashed potatoes. And sadly, the gravy Tastes like it comes from a mix. But I'm a scratch cooker- so I'm kind of fussy that way. Super nice friendly people run this place! One time they forgot our drinks and the next time we went back they made it right. They used to serve one more good boneless chicken biscuit here. They stopped much to my regret. It's pick up only to go now. Order at the microphone drive around to the window, pay and collect your chicken. It's really good fried chicken. At one time they were everywhere. I think the colonel's attack was successful. I only know of two locations within driving distance now. This one is 100 miles from my house so go figure. read more

Used to be incredible, now more "meh" than anything else. Considering it's $8.00 for a 2 piece white meal with one side - it would have been nice if the chicken had been fresher and completely cooked. I didn't even mind the ungodly waits we had to go through when it first opened, the trade off was that the size of the pieces was bigger and the food was good. Now, not so great. read more
