I can't rave enough about this place! My original birthday plans fell through for my 2 year old with the rainfall the past 2 days but I wanted to take my son out for a day of fun--covid safety style. This fits all the bill! We were the only ones there today!!! We threw on our rain boots and I'm glad I did, some parts of the grounds were muddy but overall not bad. The playground was cool but the biggest attraction for us was obviously the animals. Oh the fowls, chickens, goats, rabbits... he loved them all! There were several workers on site and the one on the tractor waved to my son every time he passed by. My son was in LOVE. Another worker approached us and told us to meet the oxen friends out back. He spent some time to go over some history of the farm and grabbed a lasso to get one of them to come closer to us. It was such a nice gesture of him and I enjoyed it just as much as my son did. Everyone wore their masks and I mean wore them... not falling off the face or nose poking out. Like I said we were the only ones there but it is so spacious there, I can see a good amount of people there and still be able to socially distance. There were also plenty of picnic tables on the grounds. Someone told me that they host wine festivals!! I hope to attend on in the future :)

Came here for the Secret Garden R&B/ Neo Soul Music, Arts and Festival and it was a nice event at the venue. A complementary wine glass was included in the admission along with samples of wine provided by Basignani Winery, which was overpriced for the crowd (beginning at $17 a bottle), but had a decent taste. Free tours of the Farm Museum were included as well, but l did not go. The grounds of the museum included numerous benches to sit and listen to the wonderful music, picnic tables to enjoy your food and non-alcoholic beverages that you could bring in and plenty of trees to sit under and enjoy the breeze and hide from the blazing sun. There were food, cigar, jewelry and clothing vendors. The Panama Band played an awesome set as well as DJ Frank Ski, former Baltimore DJ, lighting up the ones and twos with an old school blend of R&B, hip hop and house music. All in all, a wonderful event that l will frequent in the future, especially if it is held at this venue.

2013 anniversary glasses provided for a 2015 EVENT!! Shame...

The Cons ...1. They gave out 2013 anniversary wine glasses for an event that took place 8/16/2015. 2. The wine sellers need to work out a system for wine sales that doesn't take 40 minutes long. The Pros....nice area, picnic tables and tented spaces for people to sit. Vendors and the music was great and people were very friendly.

This place was quite large. There's a dedicated parking area on rocks. There's a porta potty at the parking area. You follow the signs to the office or gift shop and you state your name that registered online and you get a container of food and you can roam the cages. Each caged area is for specific sets of alpacas and you can get to the outside through each gated area. The alpacas are friendly - some a super needy - and some just want to rest. It really depends on the time frame for each one. You can touch and feed. Some really get in your face. I was trying to kneel down to take photos and the alpacas start walking towards me. The people here are nice and I got what I wanted from visiting here. Seeing tons of alpacas. There are not just 10 alpacas, there's probably around 35-60 and they are all spread out, some inside and some outside grazing and eating grass. Very humane conditions for the alpacas. You can see a horse outside too and a Shepard dog as well.

The vibes are peaceful, scenic, and honestly the perfect backdrop for a festival day out. They host several festivals throughout the year, and I had the pleasure of attending the Caribbean festival yesterday. Even with the rain and cooler weather, it was STILL a great time. The energy never dropped. Everything was very well organized from parking, to the wine samples, vendors, dance floor, and stage setup. You could tell a lot of planning went into making the experience smooth and enjoyable for guests. The music, food, and overall atmosphere made it easy to forget about the weather completely. This was my second time here, and it definitely will not be my last. I'll 100% be returning.

The host Sydney from The Plot Twist did a great job hosting and the ladies from Linganore were excellent in helping through out the class! I returned another day to try their wines and was not disappointed! I enjoyed them so much that I took home 3 different bottles which me and my girlfriends all enjoyed. I'll be back for their Caribbean festival and can not wait!

We've had multiple events at this fire department's reception hall and never have we been…read moredisappointed. My most favorite event though was my wedding. We actually had another fire department's social hall booked for our wedding but because someone was disorganized and got into criminal activity they double booked us and threw a major wrench in my wedding plans considering we had planned everything around the reception area. So, I got ahold with the coordinator for New Windsor Fire Department's rental and she told me that they could help us out because they had the date we needed open and was the closest to all of the rest of our wedding festivities so it worked perfectly. Tammy & her husband Brett are the rental coordinators and they are sweet people who will do what they can do make your event fit the days you need! The rental fee was extremely fair considering they pay someone to come clean the hall before events. The left over money from the rental fee goes towards the fire department so not only can you have a great event but you're also giving back to the community as well! As far as tables go they have rectangular that they use as events such as bingo's, etc and they also have round tables that we were able to fit 8 around comfortably. They even have a sweet heart table and a arch you're able to rent. We had up 20 tables with 8 at each not including our head table where we had 12 of us all together. This is a handicap friendly facility which was another selling point as we had some guests who need handicap arrangements. To cover their bingo boards they have curtains but also have a lattice work wall that you can decorate using whatever kind of material that will fit your party theme. So for example, we had a rustic country wedding and we took fall leaves since our wedding was in November and draped it with burlap and draped it along the lattice work. I'll also post pictures. The bathrooms were extremely clean and had handicap stalls. They have a full working kitchen and if you were to have a wedding the ladies auxiliary is an option to use for your caterer if you'd like and we chose them to have a southern home cooked buffet style meal and everyone is still talking about our food almost 2 years later! Those women in the New Windsor Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary can cook and they also will do an uncorking, cake cutting and food serving for a fee. Also, there is a tap room that can be used for an extra charge and they want someone to be manning it so I'd look into that too! We even had them light our candles that were in our mason jars! Another sweet treat the ladies did for us was when we went to leave, they made a box of food for my husband and I to take to our hotel room for the night considering we were going to be flying to the Caribbean the next morning. It was so sweet and greatly appreciate since we didn't really get to eat a whole lot at our wedding! They even sent pieces of our cake since we didn't get to really eat none of that either, haha! If you're looking for a venue say for a wedding, this would be perfect! If you're looking for somewhere that can fit at least 20 tables if not more, have room for a great dance floor, room for a buffet or food setup including your cake, a spot for the DJ and gifts and other decorations then this is your place! Like I said, I will post pictures so you can see for yourself how great and affordable of a venue this is! We will definitely continue to use this venue for future events throughout our lives and always recommended it to people we know who are looking for venues because we loved it that much!
