Since all the goodies have been eaten I can honestly say that they were delicious and of very high quality. It was very hard to choose just 6 treats. The cream and fruits on my treats were absolutely beyond my expectations. The staff was also very lovely and friendly and I will definitely be back even though I live 50 minutes away. Wow! Just super impressed! I highly recommend this bakery. They also have a cafe with seating and coffees and sandwiches. Please check them out as you won't be disappointed.

I found parking right in front of the cafe. It's diagonal, pull-in street parking. I walked in. It's a push to get through the door. I was immediately greeted by a friendly, accommodating staff member. I wanted a hot chocolate and asked about the four different ounce sizes. He showed me all the paper white cups. I went with the second-largest size. I also asked that I get soy or some non-dairy beverage added to it. Done! I have a weakness for baked goods. This cafe has vegan options, including pumpkin vegan muffins during my visit. Everything looked so goods, from brownies, to cookies. I saw the large cookie jars staring at me. My gosh, each cookie is larger than the palm of my hand and I have big hands! I wanted a s'mores one so badly. You basically take the tongs, grab your cookie, and place it in a paper bag. I got my hot chocolate and cookie that came to $9. It's not cheap, but it's fair trade goods. I expect to pay slightly more. There is a draft in the cafe, so the merchant bill that I had ripped off the machine before getting my bill blew off the counter and onto the floor. I let the man know, which he appreciated. You can pay by cash, and debit and credit cards. I also provided a tip. As usual, it's up to you. It was a bit of a challenge with full hands to get out of the cafe when you need to pull on the door handle to get out. Luckily, I put my hot chocolate on the bar-like table, pulled the door open, used my foot to keep it open, grabbed my drink, and moved quickly through the door. Problem solved! The hot chocolate is dark chocolate. I happen to love it. If you are more of a milk hot chocolate lover, you might find the hot chocolate to be missing sugar and perhaps taste bitter. I loved it. There was probably more soy in my drink than there should have been, but it was perfect for my less sugary needs. The s'mores cookie is extremely yummy! OMG, if I lived in the neighbourhood, I would buy the jar of cookies every day. It was buttery, chocolatey, and marshmallowy (I know, not a word, but whatever) delicious. It paired nicely with my hot chocolate, as it had slightly more sugar. I would come back just for this cookie alone. There were plenty of seats to sit down. If you sit by the bar-like area with stools, you get a nice view of the area. People-watching is casual in this cafe. It has a nice vibe. You can get a number of fair-trade coffee varieties. I am personally not a coffee connoisseur, but I appreciated both the selection and the cause. I like this cafe. I'd come back to give the muffins and more drink items a taste the next time I'm here. But for what I went for, which was Portuguese custard tarts (natas) and assorted breads, it was very good, and honestly better than expected given the location. Natas had the perfect custardy edge without being overwhelming, breads had nice flavor and crust. Why not five stars? Well, the natas were still missing some caramelization (compared to my old gold standard), and the breads were a bit too squishy and on the white-bread end of taste. But it's still probably the best option once you're north of 401.

The muffins are so moist and fresh and eye-poppingly cheap for what you get. They've also started serving actual meals that are really tasty. The air-fried chicken sandwhich is glistening and packed (no fillers here!) and the spaghetti and meatball recipe is from Grandma who's Italian (the sauce was chef's kiss tangy). And again, both of these dishes were so well priced for the portion sizes that you get. But at the end of the day, Zoomys is a juice bar. And while it is priced like Bay Street, the juices and smoothies here are 100% fruir no sugar added. And when you take a sip, you can taste that clean freshness to it. Definitely recommend this place. Whether you're looking for a healthy cleanse or hearty meal, Zoomys is a place to visit.

We were thrilled to discover FlySpin in 2024. As our dog, Nigel, has severe separation anxiety, it was a relief to find a cafe that was not only geographically convenient relative to our walks with him, but also one where we could sit and enjoy our choice of hot drinks while keeping Nigel by our side. A great asset when the weather was less than amiable, and in fact the whole arrangement worked so well that in February 2025 we purchased (from Chizzel) a $100.00 FlySpin Gift Card which gave us discounted coffee for a 12 month period. Since purchasing that card, FlySpin changed their business rules (banning dogs) which effectively made that discount card of no further value to us. I went into FlySpin and explained our situation to Chizzel, and asked that we be issued a proportionate refund (I had used the card for 3 months) based on the fact that it was FlySpin that changed the terms of business. Therein followed a rather frustrating conversation as noted below: 1. Chizzel stated that she did not have the authority to issue a refund. I explained that, in her role as Manager, I felt that she did have such authority. Chizzel's response was that she was not a Manager, only a Barista. This was a rather interesting response given that she has responded to Reviews as "Fly Cafe Manager, Chizzel". Her job title apparently changes depending on the situation she finds herself in! 2. Chizzel stated that it would be up to Eva (the business owner ..... who had just arrived) to make that decision. She (Chizzel) then went over to talk with Eva, and came back to me with the instruction to email Hiba (who appears to be in a Gen.Mgr. role). I consider it ludicrous that the business owner would not make such a "low value" decision. I also found it very disappointing that she did not have the courtesy to talk to me personally. 3. I emailed Hiba in accordance with Chizzel's directive and not only did I not receive a response, I did not even get an acknowledgement of my email. After 1 week, I repeated my email to Hiba but, yet again, no acknowledgement of the email and no response to my request. I must stress that we knew all 3 of them personally as we were (with a few exceptions) daily customers and Nigel even allowed Eva's daughter to play with him, so their treatment of us was particularly disappointing! The original dog ban was (according to Chizzel) triggered by a woman thought to represent the Provincial Government, but we later advised that it was a directive from the building landlord who apparently did not like dogs. This then changed to be a directive because the building landlord was afraid that a customer could get bitten by a dog. This changed again such that dogs under 15lbs were allowed in, which was changed again to limit dogs to the patio. The only scenario that stood up to any credibility was the initial one! In summary, Fly Cafe can provide a great cup of coffee but if you ever need any customer service, and based on my experience noted above.................. forget it because they are simply not interested. There are a number of other excellent cafes nearby so perhaps try them out!

Night three, round one of the TIFF food trucks…read more While waiting for Stuft to open I grabbed a refreshing Berry Berry Iced Tea. I was impressed at the size of their menu that they could offer from their truck and I was also glad to see that they had more than just coffee as their name suggests. The iced tea was nicely sweetened and garnished with fresh blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and a large slice of lime. They don't skimp on the ice so your beverage will stay nice a cool while you sip away on a warm summer day. While the price may be tipped slightly towards the expensive side of the scale I appreciate the little extras and details and great customer service to make up for it. Side note: There were no hula girls to be found. Only three guys smushed into a truck...creepy...

I usually go there with my partner and we skip the sweets section (we tried them a couple of times and have since decided to pass on those) and go straight to the back where hot, freshly made selection of brunch/lunch options are. Their chicken on a bun, and chicken with sides of potatoes, mushrooms, and vegetables is our favorite. But you don't just go to this bakery for heart-warming food. You also go there for the warm ladies who serve you the food and chat with you for a couple of minutes, the elderly people who, you can tell, have gotten into the habit of coming here since a long time for a cup of coffee, and the charming little seating area next to the breads section where you can enjoy your food while soaking in the bakery aromas. This place is like the hobbit land in the middle of the crowd of big brand coffee houses and I want just that sometimes in the middle of the day.
