I'm not 100% sure what type of bakery this is, given the wide variety and the diversity of clientele. But for what I went for, which was Portuguese custard tarts (natas) and assorted breads, it was very good, and honestly better than expected given the location. Natas had the perfect custardy edge without being overwhelming, breads had nice flavor and crust. Why not five stars? Well, the natas were still missing some caramelization (compared to my old gold standard), and the breads were a bit too squishy and on the white-bread end of taste. Best bakery in the area. They are open early and have tonnes of freshly baked goods. It's tiny and a decent variety of breads, deli, other prepared meals, and coffee. Staff is quick. More people need to be aware about this. They are missing out. But you need to get there early because things run out quick. read more

This bakery offers delicious baked good (lots of typical italian and some others I can't place their origin), a deli section and fresh meals. The meals look all freshly cooked for the lunch crowd. Offerings sit below a heat lamp throughout the day so don't expect a five star dining experience. However, everything I tried was delicious and homey. I had the braised pork which was incredibly tender and very well spiced with just a bit of a kick. One meat and two sides (your choice of pasta, rice or vegetables) comes out to 7.99 for a generous serving. Also tried the chocolate cupcakes which looked and tasted very decadent. Very Unprofessional people, with no manners. I have never experience such poor customer service anywhere else other than this R bakery. Very disappointed. I went into the Bakery to buy 4 Zeppole pastries and other items. I was given a small box for the Zeppole that could clearly fit only 3 Pastries. Because of the lack of space in the box, the fourth pastry was just thrown on the top of another. This bakery has amazing fresh buns /croissants/ turnovers/ muffins every morning at a very reasonable price. Perfect for weekend breakfast indulgence. The carrot muffin is soooo good, my go to. Staff are quick. Definitely recommend. read more

The staff here is really bad I was trying to call them from this morning and they are just saying me to call back after an hour and when I was trying to place an same order I usually have she was refusing to do as I just bought a special cake 25 days before the lady on the call was saying they can't do that same order the one I have before. She was really rude to me. She was just speaking and didn't give me a chance to speak I never ever had any bad experience then this after she just put a wrong card number and said that " you don't have money in your card and I going to cancel your order when ever you have money then call us back" that's really worse thing that you say to your customer. I only gave one star because it was not possible to give less. If so, I would have given less. They truly deserve it. I and my family were customers at this bakery for over 10 years. I went this morning and was ready to buy half dozen small rolls and a couple large rolls. I was out on a morning walk and threw a 5 dollar bill in my pocket and some loose change. The lady at the counter looks at the bill and a small tiny corner from one end was missing. She asked another older lady who works there ( I would imagine who has a degree in currency with the Bank of Canada) and she says we cant take it. I said fine. I left my order and informed them I wont be back in here. I would urge everyone not to shop here as well. They installed two new doors during Covid where rolls are. Now everyone has to touch the doors where before they used bread carts. Already one door is missing. The other door looks dirty from people touching them. They have no customer service skills here at all and treat long term customers with distain and would rather lose a long term customer over a 5 dollar bill that was missing a tiny piece of one corner. I would have taken a picture of it however I used it to buy bread in the Shoppers Drug Mart in the same plaza. My advice, AVOID THIS PLACE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER service. A disgrace! read more

employees are unprofessional and extremely discriminating. the working environment is so dirty that the non english speaking staff is clueless to the sanitation and safety practices set by the provincial safety standards. when confronted of blatant in your face violations such as opening your purchases sticking their faces into and hand counting bread at the register while handling dirty money all day while also working in the cross contamination at the deli slicers that all cuts of meats are sold from the same machines with not so much as a wipe down between usage, no sanitation station where to was hands when performing the dirtiest of acts at the counter physically handling your food. then the malicious treatment of the patrons who confront this..i almost forgot the pastries handled by the same cash staff lol lol lol .. anyone who has ever worked in any food service environment knows what they witness, but the italian "mafia" type attitude also plays a key role in silence in the masses.. eating here is like the stewardess who wipes the toilet with your second request for bread and serves it with a smile..for a while i have amassed audio and video of even the owner who out of clear spite during a complaint clearly in video handling the unwrapped food in my bag while at the cash as she tries to tell of a store policy of no gloves and the mandatory physical handling of items as the constant ora of distrust and discrimination hovers with the selected patrons they persistently preform these violations upon..its astonishing that in 2018-2019 this level of dirty practices happens with this cavalier in your face attitudes by owner and staff.. trichinosis, salmonella, dysentery all deadly pathogens that arise from the cross contamination of pork,chicken,turkey, raw cured meats like prosciutto, and the other multitude of sweaty products that are packaged in their own fluids thats expulsed when sliced and no sanitary protocols what so ever as after handling. these foods when properly handled with sanitary conditions met have a 12-16 day fridge life. the pure pork cured items have been cultivated for 12 months but go bad in 3-4 days after leaving that store and its not due to decomposition as its salt cured as done centuries past for longevity that mysteriously falls short here. then they touch and handle hot bread in your bags transferring the cultivated bacteria even from the money handled and as your discriminated upon through all of this if you even dare to confront the meanest and ugliest of personalities at the register like a beaten pitbull she responds defending her illiteracy and dirties of practices, its disturbing that they are still open for business as usual. who's ever shopped there knows exactly who im talking about. sitting for hours there other patrons who have approached me disgustingly state that after witnessing the discrimination i suffer each and every time, that they too have never once seen her even excuse herself to wash her hands once in the 4-5 hour time frame they drink coffee there. how pathetic is that when your oblivious to your own actions representing your employer who in turn accommodates that behavior.. the pizza slices over the hot table exposed all day long , the cream cheese strudels over the deli handled by the same dirty person handling meats. if there's dust and debris in our own homes from skin off our own families, no one ever thinks of the same dust caused from the dozens of patrons who are also dirty from work, sick from the elements, never mind the filth behind the counter all day festering everywhere and on everything and these workers don't even wash their hands to fake the assembly of cleanliness. but they put a patron down and cuss and put you to the back of the line like the 50's if you question their/her methods.. i personally have gotten very ill 2wice from their practices but this last time my daughter fell ill after bringing home their products... the place needs to be closed down i guess the real criminals in the inspection department who accept the envelopes are to blame. please look for the youtube for the videos and recordings that i will post shortly.. r bakery and the dragon lady read more
