Most other websites are haunted by vacancy, botz and nothing there. Not only did she give me good advice, but she answered the phone long after the working day was over. Mary- you saved us from making a costly mistake! Called in after getting the run-around with a repairman assigned to us through our "home warranty" program about our broken fridge. She listened to our problems and advised me to just quit while I'm at it with our Samsung clunker. So instead of preying on a potential (and very vulnerable) customer by sending out a tech for numerous issues, she was honest and just told me to go out and buy a new one. Since we purchased our home, we've run into multiple bad contractors and dishonest repairmen. I'm relieved to have found a company that values its customer base like this one. I contacted Mary Bush on Wednesday April 21st, 2021 regarding a Whirlpool washer with 2 problems: the agitator was not rotating, and the water was not draining. I sent a video clip (https://imgur.com/a/snSrbHg) demonstrating the machine's behavior. Mary scheduled me for a home visit on Friday April 23rd, 2021. While waiting for the appointment, I did basic YouTube research and identified the lid sensor as the problem. It was obviously cracked, and I fixed it with a few pennies worth of zip ties. When she arrived, she confirmed that I had fixed the draining problem (#2), as the washer was now draining water. She went ahead and replaced the lid sensor, charging me $175 to replace a component that was already functioning. However she did not attempt to address the main problem (#1), which is failure of the agitator to spin. She explained that the agitator dogs need replacing and told me to buy them and search on YouTube how to replace them. The fact that an appliance repair expert did not have these agitator dogs on hand was a red flag and made me question her integrity and preparedness. Her assistant also asked to borrow a pair of scissors during the repairs, again a sign of ill-preparedness and lack of professionalism. While she was there, I also asked her to have a look at an Amana dryer that was not heating up consistently. Her assistant plucked out some lint from the exterior vent opening, and they replaced the dryer coils, and the dryer seems to be working normally after one use. I'm giving Mary two stars because she fixed the dryer by replacing the coils for $125. However I took off 3 stars because she did not fix the main problem I called her about -- agitators that failed to spin. She charged me $175 to replace a component (lid sensor) that I had already repaired, was not directly related to the main problem, and which did not yield a working washer. At the end of the visit, she charged me $300 for services that left me with a washer that was in the same non-functional condition as it was before her visit. I would have been better off putting that money toward a new appliance, and chances are you will too. read more

I had a refrigerator that was slowly leaking. I called and Mike was able to stop by. He called prior to arriving to confirm his appointment. He was wearing a mask and gloves in light of the Covid pandemic. Mike found the problem and quickly fixed it. He was professional, polite and helpful. Our water dispenser on our fridge has been working sporadically, with a little Google Power it seemed like the water hose was frozen so I called Mary's (spoke with Mary) she asked me a few questions about the fridge and said someone would be contacting me. Within 5 minutes her husband called me and said that the waterline might be frozen. He walked me through step by step how to check it and he was right, it was frozen and gave me a few tips on how to try to unfreeze it. What a great way to treat a customer!! They were professional, competent and friendly in their manner. Fair price and good customer service. I talked with Mike about the issue with my washer and he offered a few cost saving suggestions of what could be causing the leak. Those suggestions were ones I could have fixed myself and saved money. He didn't have to but offered. Unfortunately I did need Mike and Mary's help. I called Mary's Appliance about a problem with my Kenmore washer. After a few questions and a bit of research, they were able to diagnose what they thought to be the problem over the phone and provide an initial estimate for the repair. They scheduled an appointment with me for later that day. They arrived promptly, confirmed their original assessment, quickly made the repair, left the old parts and reviewed their warranty...all at a great price. Shortly thereafter, my Kenmore started acting up again. I called Mary's again, thinking the two issues must be related. They were not, but Mike was able, again, to diagnose the problem over the phone. But more importantly, he gave us the information we needed to fix the second problem ourselves! Awesome team! Very friendly and patient on the phone. Unfortunately, I am currently looking for someone to repair our dishwasher, and that is a service that Mary's doesn't provide at this time (August 2019). I definitely will keep this company in mind should one of our other appliances need help. Called and I talked with Mike he was very friendly and helpful, I needed the vent on my dryer changed from the rear to the side Mike told me not a problem he gave me a price and it was very reasonable. We had them come out and look at our dryer They said that it was a thermal fuse and gave us a receipt as well as the old part in the packaging of the new part. The dryer went out a few days later and they said that it would be more money to come out. We decided to fix it ourselves. When we looked at the dryer back we found that they had not replace the thermal fuse- they had by passed the thermal fuse with out telling us and with giving us our old thermal fuse. When we called them Mary had no idea initially, Mike got on the phone and tried to tell us that the part was really a needed part. (even though it's required by law) they did not apologize or offer to fix the dryer free of charge until we threatened further action. I do not trust these people and would never call them again. The lied about a repair and refused to put the thermal fuse back in. read more
