The 1762 from Earl has been stuck in my head and I can't wait to try it again. Succulent roast beef with sharp cheddar and a tangy horseradish sauce, commingling toasty in a soft bun. I've mentioned here before that I'm not a huge fan of hot subs. But, EoS has won me over. The Holiday Turkey Sandwich gets reviews as "the best sandwich I ever had" online so I wanted to try it. I make a mean turkey leftover sandwich so the first day I thought it was "ok". But the 2nd day I heated the other half up, and it had me SINGING. The sando's are tightly wrapped in paper and foil so they arrived in perfect shape even for take-out (delivery) across the city. I generally upgrade to "double meat" and eat half a sandwich at a time. I can't wait to try more varieties and definitely sink my teeth into another 1762.

Slightly spicy, super moist meatballs, slightly sweet marinara, and perfectly paired with bitterness of the rapini. Don't forget the cheese pull! Found this place on yelp and decided to check it out. The location is in this nice walkable shopping center where we were able to pick up some other things for our trip. The staff was friendly and walked us through the menu and sides as it was a little slow when we got there. The food came out quick and was really good. I like, what we in the US call a "French dip", but in French speaking places seems to just be called a "beef dip". Their sign said it was the best beef dip in Calgary, and it was really good. The sides were also quite good. My kids got the kids meals and liked them as well. All in all a good spot.
