She is clouded with personal issues that she brings upon her business and guests. I simply asked for more bedding and she came across to me that was unacceptable and too much work for her to be bothered. She said it will cost an additional $50.00 to change out linen that looks as though it hasn't been changed in quite some time. She said, it was a lot of work for her and to take care of her husband Adam whom had broken a rib. She came back with a basket Knocking annoyingly along the cabin wall demanding my linen. I gave it to her and she proceeded to give me linen that did not fit our bed. I didn't want to argue with her, so I just took it. My friend down the way, also needed new linen and the same attitude was given. There website needs updating with a lot of false advertising. We were suppose to have a view of the ocean, instead met with a huge mound of dirt and construction site. We used the fire pit several nights, and on the last night the owner... Deb.. Came down and told my husband and friends no partying (that they we being loud) (I was also sleeping inside with the door open and not woken once)and she told us we had to put out the fire because there was no fire permit, yet a fire pit available outside. Also they advertised a heated pool, which was a perk on renting the cabin because even though its cold. I still wanted to swim. However, no heated pool and it was freezing. When we asked Deb she said " Well people were in there yesterday without any problems, just deal with it". (Not even exaggerating, her words exact) Also, the cabins need work. They need a good wash and are very outdated. The bed is hard and lumpy in spots.. Needless to say, Deb seemed burnt out and took it out on her guests. We somewhat enjoyed our time until one of our neighbors came out and told us, while we were out mini golfing she went around to all our neighbors to ask if our group of people were bothering them. Everyone was nice and said no. We weren't loud or disruptive. Just trying to enjoy our vacation with our friends. If you are ok with Debbie Downer aka a Karen, feel free to rent these cabins.. I will not be back...

The ages of the women ranged from 40 to 76 years of age. We had meetings of the vacation and what was going to be planned for all of us. On the day of the trip most of us drove in torrential rainfall to the deluxe oceanfront hotel in Old orchard Beach Maine and a few of us were going for the first time. When my party arrived, Laurie and a good amount of our girls were standing outside under the stairs in this torrential rain when the owner came and told us they had canceled our reservations and kicked us off the property with a very strong language Laurie Davis who was crying and very upset at this time, because she had never ever been treated this way before, had to let us know what had taken place. 36 of us women going and quite a few newbies. Laurie had to tell us we had to leave. I have been on these trips to this motel before and accommodations were always wonderful. The staff and management were always great to us. Now Miss Davis has been doing these trips for some 20 odd years, and never had any problems until this year. We have always left this hotel or motel clean and we had tipped very well most of us had to buy groceries gasoline for a vehicle pay a babysitter take time off from work to go on this vacation, which never took place. Everyone was very upset and stressed out from all of this. This is not how you would treat guest's. I, myself will never and I mean never be placing a reservation at this motel. And I will make sure that I tell anyone that comes to Old orchard Beach to stay clear all the deluxe oceanfront hotel. As far as the ratings go, it would be a minus 100. The worst service from management to the owner of this business I have ever seen in my traveling days. I am a 71-year-old lady.

We really wanted to like the Lady Mary Tea House at the inn, but we were sadly disappointed…read more First, we had our tea and sandwiches inside the pretty tea house, but wanted to be seated outside because it was a pleasant day. We counted at least 8 tables with chairs on the pretty porch, but were told we could not do that. They should rethink that, IMO. Our tea arrived in small, personal teapots, but within a few minutes, the tea became cold- there was no tea-cozy or tea warmer provided to keep it hot. I have been to many tearooms and never not had a warmer for my tea. The four sandwich offerings were pretty enough- but very bland in taste. The scones came out with the dessert selections, oddly enough- which we did enjoy very much. Overall, we were not very impressed with our experience, and probably will not return.

While it was clean, it had huge furniture that took up a lot of space, the TV's were old outdated tube tv's, the one in the bedroom didn't work and the grill needed to be replaced. There were roman blinds that were a death trap for kids and the flatscreen should have been tethered to the wall. However, we did look at a few other units on our stay and they were so nice and cute with nice furniture/decor. The other units seemed more open because of the appropriate sized furniture and decorating. We loved the contemporary feel of the kitchen and the washer and dryer was so awesome. It was so nice coming home to no laundry! We also looked at the condos and they are beautiful and spacious. Each unit is individually owned, so it's the owners taste on the furniture and decorating style. Unit 46 would probably be suitable for an older couple or someone who had older kids. We booked late and got last minute reservations so that is what we ended up with. When booking ask for a nicely decorated unit! There are 2 pools, a hot tub and a little wading pool for kids, all very clean. The grounds are kept up very nicely. Everyone who was there was extremely nice, most of the people that stayed there are owners, all friendly and very nice. It felt very homey our entire stay. The view is very pretty. I would absolutely stay here again. It really is a little hidden gem. I would just ask to stay in a different unit. Our stay was fabulous and we had such a great week. We felt like we didn't even need to leave the property our kids loved the pool and made a bunch of friends to play with. We will be back next summer for sure!

It's only steps to one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast, and the oceanview from the screened-in porch is simply stunning. The house is light and bright and yet still very cozy. It's tastefully decorated with a beach theme and the kitchen is newly redone. It has a huge wrap around porch that is the perfect place to relax and unwind and listen to the sound of the waves. We lived there for ten months and literally walked our dog on the beach every single day...even in the snow! Aside from the house and location being exceptional, the landlords are wonderful and make sure everything is taken care of during your stay. If you are looking to rent a beautiful house in a great neighborhood that is a stone's throw from the beach, you won't be disappointed!

The winter rental we are staying in is simple. It has a living room and two bedrooms. In the summer it sleep up to six people if you use the pull out couch. I know they also has a first floor one bedroom unit with a king size bed, a very small efficiency also with a king size bed, and at least two other apartments. There is laundry on site for a fee and off street parking. Overall, a great short term, fully furnished, rental location.

We were attending a wedding in Portsmouth and wanted to stay in a cozy B&B close by. The B&B is a tad old with chipped paint on the outside and damaged wall paper but the Rose guestroom, dining area and living room were all very clean. I didn't see any dust even on the little figurines and that's important to me as I'm allergic to dust. The breakfast wasn't anything special. They served juice, cup of fresh fruit, coffee and really tasty blueberry pancakes. The juice is their own blend, the syrup is made in house and the pancakes are homemade. The hosts didn't spend time entertaining us but for the price, the B&B was exactly what my husband and I needed. We had a comfy bed, clean towels and sheets, tidy room and breakfast at a convenient location.
