The building is really cool, and there were already quite a few people dining in the main room. We prefer to sit at the bar, so we saddled up and were greeted by a friendly bartender. I'd give them a higher rating, but the beer selection was a bit limited. (It's technically a distillery, but they also brew beer.) The beer I had was decent, and my wife really enjoyed her seasonal cocktail. Now comes the really good part--the food. The menu was interesting, and there were several things we wanted to try. We settled on the pepperoni wood-fired pizza, and it was phenomenal. A lot of places get part of a pizza right but miss on others. Alfred didn't miss a thing: the crust was perfect, the sauce was spot-on, the toppings were generous, and there was so much cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Another highlight was getting to meet Alfred and hearing the history of the company. It's obvious he has a passion for his business and customers, and it's clear he's well-liked in the community. We like pepperoni and sausage just fine, but I was looking forward to the ground beef (I grew up on homemade ground beef pizzas) and it was a little overpowered by the pepperoni. Still a great pizza though. We also had some potato skins - they were good but green onions are a must for me so I was sad they weren't on there. This order took place over the phone. I was asked what I wanted on the fish, I said whatever comes on it, the gentleman taking my order over the phone said oh you don't want anything on it, I said you don't put anything on the fish? I then said put cheese, tartar sauce and pickles on the fish. I asked for hot sauce on the side. The gentleman gave me my total and said my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived early, requested the pickles be put on the side as well, and then paid (I noticed the price changed. I was handed the receipt and saw I was charged $0.50 for each condiment that generally comes customary on a fish sandwich. The food was good but I hate establishments that nickel and dime patrons without clearly stating the specifics. *I was going to leave a stellar review for the place initially as the food was pretty good, after my visit on July 6th, my family and I will never dine here again when we are visiting in the area. As far as the ambiance, it's a "mom and pop" dinner set-up without the charisma, warmth and customer service of a "mom and pop" establishment.
