Great food, great atmosphere! There was 7 of us. We ordered 4 dishes an appetizer and bread, then shared! It was plenty of food! So yummy! Highly recommend!

Came here with my mother on a whim -- and wow! Definitely will be coming back again. They have a solid range of appetizers, meals, & beverages to choose from. Most importantly, the staff are very attentive and the service is really above and beyond. We felt very welcome and taken care of while we were here and the atmosphere is peaceful. Unfortunately I did not get the names of the servers we had tonight, but they were amazing and I'll be recommending this place to all my friends & family in the area.

I cannot believe this place only has 4 stars!!! This is by far the Most amazing Indian food on the planet. I rate it 5+++ stars. I'm so impressed. Everything is bomb. If you love authentic, fresh Indian food this is your place. I could tell everything was made from scratch and the service was incredible. My mom who has traveled all over the world said the fish and chips were the best she's ever had and I agree. I will be dreaming of this place. I also think the inside of the restaurant has great vibes and I was very comfortable. Will be coming back as often as I can!

Food was amazing!!! Seriously some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Our waiter was super friendly, and the ambiance was nice.

Hands down the best Indian food I've ever had. I'm from the Bay Area and have tried so many Indian restaurants. Masala Ashland is the absolute best. They are also very friendly to top it off. Will definitely be back.

The table was set beautifully with a heavy linen tablecloth and sterling flatware. The 1883 Victorian mansion has been exquisitely restored & filled with lovely antiques. Lisa was so nice and took good care of us! Cookies when we arrived, a handwritten note, truffles in our room. Super friendly and helpful when we arrived. Every detail was so wonderful. There is a pool also but it was closed due to the weather being too cold but I'm sure it's amazing in the summer. Parking is good also. The inn is not too far from downtown and they offer a delicious breakfast as well. We had apple cider crème brûlée and sweet potato hash with chicken apple sausage. Good coffee too! I honestly cannot understand how the ratings can be so high…read more I did not enjoy this experience AT ALL. As an another reviewer opined just six days ago--- it was-- "disgusting." I find it really interesting that there seems to be some sort of public consensus to not rate this place honestly. Do I have to fear the wrath of the owner or the Oregon Hippie Community or something? Well, bring it on. I had been looking forward to visiting Jackson Wellsprings for YEARS, having first read about it in the book Thru Hiking Will Break Your Heart. My cousin and I had reservations this summer, but we ended up canceling most of our trip. Now I know that she did not miss out. I arrived on New Year's Eve, after having called first to make sure tent camping would be allowed. The woman at the front desk who checked me in was very friendly and polite, and could not speak highly enough about the place. After paying $25 to camp in the meadow, I could use the rest of the facilities for an additional $10. Generally speaking, $25 is cheap to camp, especially for someone with less experience on where you can camp for free, or how to get the kinds of massive discounts I usually get. But $25 is a lot to put up a tent on a communal noisy, tobacco filled lawn. I would note that sharing a group site at camp 4 in Yosemite is actually more glamorous for only $10/person. I'm not sure why Jackson Wellsprings feels that sleeping on their lawn is worth so much. The bathroom was so terrible that I did everything I could to avoid using it. There was literally five inches of space between the toilet seat and door, creating an impossible situation for any female who is larger than Twinkie. I literally was not able to shut the door while using the toilet without risking the fact that my pants would wipe the entire underside of the toilet clean of its ample soil. None of the restroom water was filtered in any way. The water that I used to wash my hands stunk like sulfur until I was able to take a shower somewhere else the next day. The spa shower was the same way. The water smelled so bad, it made me really uncomfortable. I felt like I was bathing in sewage. As a nursing school dropout, before dropping out, I got the highest grade in my microbiology class at Sac State. In this class, we learned to identify several pathogens by smell alone. I've also worked in volcanic environments and am familiar with how hot springs normally smell gassy. But this place just smelled bad. Bad bad bad. Like a literal toilet and like bad bacteria. For the public soak rate of $10-15, you get access to ONLY ONE COMMUNAL HOT SPRING which is set up like a hot tub and does not feel "natural" at all. This one pool had a lot of visible dirt and sediment floating in the water. It smelled like human chicken broth. An old rich lady and her autistic grandson were loudly gossiping about how fat everyone else looked. The fancier springs pictured on the internet cost about $85/hour to rent, and even if I had the money and audacity to do this, I would not do so based on the lack of cleanliness in the public facilities. The bathrooms were not clean, and in fact, everything was so dirty and gross that I'm confused by the more positive reviews. I felt itchy, smelly, and stuffed up until I was able to get to the nearest state park for a proper shower in clean water. When I got out of the shower and smelled the clothes that had been on my body, I understood why I'd overheard a Walmart associate gossip to her peers in Spanish (a few hours earlier) that "that white girl stinks." Even after doing laundry, my swimsuit still smells like a literal pile of garbage. This might have actually ruined my swimsuit. I would never do this again and I definitely don't recommend it.

This was not disclosed during booking, even though we specifically informed them we were traveling with a dog. While pet fees are common, $100/night is frankly predatory. My fiance and I found the bed to be uncomfortable and extremely small. The room listed a queen bed. When my fiance asked if was actually a queen, the hotel staff was rude and dismissive. We finally measured the bed with a measuring tape and found that it was a 53" full bed, not a 60" queen - very difficult for two people to sleep in. The hotel staff refused to acknowledge their error, though they did eventually move us to a vacant room with a larger bed for our last night. However, they also charged me another $72.80 for this pleasure without telling me why. At no point did they apologize or offer any other compensation or offer to waive their unreasonable fees. Beyond this, the rooms were dingy and not what I would expect at this price point. Winchester does make a good (though not amazing) breakfast, but it is not worth dealing with low quality rooms, rude staff and predatory hidden fees.

We showed up at 5 and were greeted by the same fabulous woman as last time. You just know that someone that kind and welcoming would not own a place she wasn't rightfully proud of. She sets the tone and all the employees carry it through the entire meal. We chose to try the patio tonight and it was cozy yet open, darker with a couple of fire lights around the room. Intimate. Some of the tables are separated by live plants in planter boxes. We loved it. We started with the beets (with shaved fennel pieces and a citrus vinaigrette with a tahini yogurt sauce on the bottom) and burrata (with grilled pieces of bread and sugar snap peas and capers) appetizers - both were delicious. Randy wanted to try another of their off menu drinks. We can't remember what this drink is called but it's not on the menu and has some Mai tai mix and orange bitters ... like a mock Mai tai spritzer. Delicious - Randy had two! I got the mushroom bolognese - so good. It's home made (!) bucatini pasta with a mushroom (cremini, oyster and shiitake) and san Marzano tomato sauce with burrata on top. I love mushrooms but Randy does not and he loved this dish. The mushrooms taste meaty. Randy ordered the Carbonara again and it was also delicious. We also got an order of garlic bread this time and wow. We each have half of our dinners left, lucky us. We shared the creme brûlée which came with a lavender short bread cookie. Perfect. Everything was perfect. The place was packed and all employees were calm and efficient and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

This hidden gem is beautifully perched on a 31 acre estate vineyard with plenty of parking. It boasts sweeping views of Ashland, plus the surrounding mountains and valley are always breathtaking. Upon entry, a welcoming host lead us to our table, where I found myself captivated by the intimate, "al fresco" setting and jazzy live music playing, as we took our seats on the terrace. Overlooking their cultivated, extraordinary grapevines in the distance, we learned they've been growing them for almost 20 years now and their wine operation has been producing classic vintages that encapsulate French, Italian and Spanish heritages for almost as long. The main, multi-story building and climate controlled barrel cellar resembles an Italian basilica, complete with Campanile tower, gracious decks, balconies and an artistic Galleria that looks into the immaculate tank room. As we settled in, we were excited to begin the experience of tasting their food and pairing it with some great estate wines. The gourmet restaurant offers an elegant fusion of world-class wines and seasonal cuisine, creating a truly unforgettable culinary journey. Under the guidance of Head Chef Alfredo Nava, his kitchen brigade takes pride in sourcing the freshest, locally grown vegetables, fungi and fruits from the Rogue Valley. This important detail was refreshing to hear, when considering the current standard for many restaurants is sourcing ingredients through Sysco or other broadline food distributors. Belle Fiore's menu is appropriately condensed to two pages, but offers something for everybody. From appetizers, a house-made pasta special, flatbreads, salads, mains, a vegetarian (GF) option and daily desserts made from scratch, I think you'll find a satisfying choice. For our meal, we chose the bruschetta on a fresh baguette to begin, with a flight of refreshing whites. Then our mains arrived in timely fashion by our attentive server and I was happy to see well plated dishes coming out hot from the kitchen. Colorful, generous and composed, all looking very appetizing as set gently before us. I had the pork porterhouse, pan-seared and roasted, then topped with preserved cherries over a layered slab of potatoes "au gratin", with steamed garden vegetables on the side. The 1" thick cut was perfectly cooked (not dry at all) and was as juicy as the tart cherries that balanced the rich meat well on the palate. Wifey had the filet of beef and happily shared a few bites with me. Honestly, it was the best entree of the night and the finest steak I have tasted in years. The tender filet was rare-mid-rare with a caramelized crust, topped with Rogue Creamery blue cheese crumbles for a little funk. Plated with roasted potatoes, steamed asparagus spears and sautéed wild mushrooms in a delicious demi-glacé, fortified with deep wine notes. I would go back tomorrow just for that dish. Both of our mains were paired with a flight of robust and jammy estate reds. Even though we were pleasantly stuffed, we had to try their cheesecake croissant dessert, just because it sounded interesting from the server's description. The beautiful slice arrived with macerated berries and a big scoop of pecan ice cream on the side. Unfortunately, I thought it could have been better (we make killer cheesecakes at home) and suspect it had been in the fridge for too long. Even though the flavors were sweet, bright and creamy, the texture suffered from being too dense and doughy. That said, we left for home without any complaints and felt amply served on a gorgeous evening out together. Thus I'm leaving this as a 5-star review. The fine flavors were there, the wine complement each dish and the value seemed properly measured. I would say it's well worth the drive from anywhere in the valley. Truth...
