Service is fantastic! Very friendly and def small town feel. Incredible brews and they're not afraid to try and offer different variety of beers...not the same old stuff. Great people, great owners. Pat and Angie are excellent!! They bring in various and delicious food vendors frequently, also there's a pizza place practically next door. They have music, games, activities, get togethers and I just learned this today, they allow well-behaved dogs inside. I'll be bringing my pups in soon to chill and have a couple beers! See y'all soon! Oh, and undoubtedly THE BEST brewery in the area! ...a MUST VISIT if your into craft brews!

I got a brew from another brewery up in New York and I did not know it. Still, very good... and peachy.

**INITIAL REVIEW** When it comes to breweries in Sebastian, most people might know about Pareidolia Brewing Company because it is officially the city's first brewery and it is located right near the heart of communal activity events (Riverview Park). However, Sebastian has two breweries. Just north of "Downtown Sebastian," Mash Monkeys Brewing stands like an outcast sentinel. Though not as "popular" as Pareidolia, Mash Monkeys Brewing - which I will shorthand simply to Mash Monkeys for the remainder of this review - seems to be more accepted by the locals. Maybe it is because it is outside of the hustle and bustle of the tourist circle that Downtown Sebastian brings. Though an address is provided, Mash Monkeys seems to have been made from the front lobby area of an automotive service building. Maybe that is why the "garage part" of the building still operates as a brake service. There really isn't anything special to distinguish how it looks on the outside. No fancy-schmancy decor. No biergarten. The only give-away that makes note of Mash Monkey's location is their sign overwhelming the brake service business under them. Upon entering Mash Monkeys, you can tell the setting is quite minimalist as if it were part of a residential area bar. There is a L-shaped bar to the left of the entrance, a pattering of tables and chairs in the sit-down area flanked by a foosball table and dart boards. Nothing that really pops, but does have a simplistic home feel to it. The bartender, Danielle (I think that's her name) was very kind and helped me in choosing a brew from their list. I opted for the No. 139 Peach Cider. It was a light cider with minute flavors of peach in it. Very good, but I didn't drink all of it as I was nursing my drinking from previous breweries I visited earlier. I do wish their printed taplist mentioned, or was more clear if it did mention, if a particular brew was from another brewery. No. 139 Peach Cider is from Wölffer Estate Vineyard up in New York. If I knew that, I would have gotten something else. I really wanted to try a brew made in house. Mash Monkeys doesn't have a food menu, but according to a flyer hanging on the bathroom wall, they featured food trucks on certain dates along with live entertainment. When I was there, it happened to be a taco truck. Ultimately, this was a fantastic initial visit to Mash Monkeys. Got to know some people, got to try out a new brew, and checked in via the Treasure Coast Wine, Ale, and Spirits Trail and Untappd. One thing that Mash Monkeys has over their other brewery neighbor, their location is verified on Untappd. For an initial visit and because I did not have an official Mash Monkeys brew, I am giving them three out of four stars. When I come back, I will try one of their in-house brews and if it is good, I'll bump up the review by one more star. And if subsequent visits are just as good on average, Mash Monkeys will receive their fifth star for consistency.

2nd time visiting, the beers here are so good. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. Ambiance is great, darts, pool table and awesome music playing. The staff is always friendly and service is great. Everyone is super knowledgeable about the beers and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Make sure to stop by when visiting Sebastian.

Today's board...can't wait to taste. Definitely a German theme to the beers

I like Mash Monkeys. They are a slightly different and refreshing change of pace kind of brewery. The beers, as advertised, tacked toward Scottish and German varieties. There is a wide selection of beers including some that were outside those varieties as well. The gents at the bar were helpful and appeared to be part of the business (by that I mean owners or Brewers). They were helpful and patient. If I lived in the area, this place would be on my regular circuit. You might know my take on reviewing beers... it's about taste and we all have slightly (or radically) different tastes. But here are my takes... We did a large flight (more of a sampler consisting of the following on the board at the time: 1,2,5,6,7,10,11,12) - The Red is sweet and super malty - The Acqua Pazza IPA is a classic IPA, with a round finish - The Black Out Chocolate Porter is not as chocolate as expected - The Pilsner is crisp with a touch of hops - The Einsfach Hefe is light and easy to drink with a slightly yeasty finish - The Wheatbeater was surprisingly good. Described as fruity, it is all that with its cherry and grape notes

Great time here! Had a bunch of options aside from their beer, darts and pool, and ability to order from the Italian restaurant across the parking lot who would deliver to you. Service was awesome and you could order a flight of 2-7 beers! The triple ipa was awesome!

Great pit stop for a craft beer. They don't make ciders but they have connections with places that do and offer one on the revolving menu. Light snack foods available and pool tables and darts! Nice place!

Despite living in a small town, we have an amazing new brewery with some of the best owners. I've been twice. The first time I came with my kids (hey! Family friendly!!) and this past time I came with my husband. Pat remembered me from the first visit. Even remembered my name! That is what I want from a local place. Somewhere I feel comfortable and safe going with my kids, my husband, or even by myself. It's not pretentious and they make an effort to answer any questions you may have. I had a lot! They have a great selection of brews they make in house as well as quite a few guest taps. My favorite is their Side Boob Belgian Wit and a guest brew passion fruit cider. I'm looking forward to making many new friends, memories and trying new brews!

Before I start the review I have a fun fact to share. Before I visited Pateidolia Brewing in Vero…read moreBeach Florida, I looked at some pictures and read some reviews. I don't usually read the reviews for breweries because I want to give an honest review based on my experience. But what drew me in is all the pictures of the draft board seemed out of focus and weirdly lit. I chalked that up to maybe not cleaning off the camera lense before taking the pictures, but what I found was quite the opposite. When I took my picure I also couldn't get a good shot. A little blurry and maybe slightly out if focus. And what I found is the place is fairly dark inside until your eyes get acclaimatted. And the way they have the menu board lit, there is a glare which makes all the photos of the beer menu board come out weird. I took multiple photos and finally settle on the best one, but it also wasn't great. So onto the review. It is small inside and has outiside seating. But what they lack in size, they make up in personality. Pareidolia is a little brewery with a big personality to match the name. Got to connect with the beertenders on duty Les and Kelly. Sorry guys if I misspelled your names, but you guys were awesome. I kept calling them Mel and Stacy, no reason why, but I did finally learn their names about the same time as I really started loving their wonderful beer. And another fun fact is their brewer is a lady. I am very partial to women who brew beer, because I feel like they do something a little extra that men don't. But that is a feeling or my own personal bias. So there is that. They have food here, but the food seemed more like an afterthought or a remnant of Covid where you had to have food at your brewery just to survive. We tried the Hawaiian flat bread. It was closer to frozen pizza with some extra toppings. But didn't come here to eat, and the beer was so great it over ruled any issues I might have had with the food. The BEER: 32956 Zip Code Hazt IPA 6.7% ABV... this has layers and they are all delicious Citra Surfer Hazy IPA 6.5% ABV... I really like this... clean and awesome Half Buzzed Hybrid Session IPA 5% ABV... I am not a fan of West Coast hops, I got a lot of grapefruit rind and a little dank happiness Chippy Throwdown Irish Red 5.2% ABV... I can so taste the rye and am loving how smooth it is Seeing Things ESB 5.6% ABV... easy drinking and crushable, a good English Special Bitter Slow Paddle Porter 5.2% ABV... it was a Porter Mermaid Belgian Blonde 5.6% ABV... Belgian, slightly hop forward, this is not light, it has layers of flavor and is just a tad boozy On my trip to Vero Beach I tried four breweries. Pareidolla was my first visit and I can honestly say it was the best. The beer was awesome. Next time I return it will be my first stop.

A successful brewery, in my opinion, has great beer and great food. Service is always welcoming, it's nice and spacious with outdoor and indoor seating to beat the heat. As for the food, we always get some soft pretzel bites (Annie, are you okay? On their menu) with beer cheese, queso-birria tacos (SO good), chicken tacos and we've also gotten the smash burger. Everything is so flavorful and is consistently good. The location is great and a big parking lot, though it gets crowded during peak hours. There was seating inside but we grabbed a table in the yard where they had live music. I wasn't in the mood for beer, so I ordered the hard soda, and am obsessed! It's a dark cola alcoholic beverage so it has a nice flavor. With quite a small selection spread out across a large county, all the breweries have the opportunity to be unique. But for Dirty Oar Beer Company (which I will shorthand to simply the Dirty Oar), they need to be different from their neighbors, Bugnutty Brewing Company. So did Dirty Oar accomplish the aforementioned "challenge?" Well yes and no depending on what it is you are looking for. Located on the north side of Historic Cocoa Village - which is the south side of King St./US-520, Dirty Oar is a large aquamarine blue building heralding a beautiful mural of birds and an octopus. There is a back entrance where their biergarten is located and a front entrance which i will consider their storefront. Parking is a bit tight, but may be accommodating enough as Dirty Oar is not as rambunctious as their neighbors, Bugnutty, are. My friends, Charles the Grey a.k.a. Roadie X and Patrick joined me today as we enjoyed brews and food in their taproom. The area is kind of small compared to other taprooms, but maybe it is because the biergarten is much bigger for overflow accomodation. There are games for people to play, in which my friends enjoyed a game that was kind of like either/or, and it was fun. Not very intelligent, but whatever. This is where things can be a hit or miss. Maybe it is me, but the flight of "milkshake" beers did not impress me at all. If I am going to drink anything "milkshake flavored", I expect to taste said milkshake flavors. They tasted okay for beers, and maybe that is being more lenient as it was not what I was hoping for. Not bad, but definitely not a "milkshake." Food was delicious, but it comes from a food truck parked next to the biergarten. The grilled cheese was good and packed flavor into something simple, but the Frito pie: exquisite. To be fair, anyone that messes up a Frito pie doesn't deserve to cook anything. Overall, Dirty Oar was a-okay for an initial visit. Will I be back here? Of course, especially if I want a more personal time with friends, family, or a date. But will I go out of my way to go here compared to other breweries, probably not. Still, an a-okay establishment that I suggest visiting at least once. On a sidenote, Dirty Oar is one of the breweries that makes up the Launches & Lagers II Tour in Brevard. It is also a location in the Untappd App.

We live just down the road in Vero Beach, so discovering a neighborhood tavern with this much charm practically in our backyard was a real win. We had already eaten lunch at Nini's Cuban across the parking lot, so we stopped in just for a beer. Within minutes we were pulled straight into the atmosphere. Nancy, the bartender and proprietor, is the kind of host every small tavern dreams of. Warm, funny, and completely at ease, she makes newcomers feel like long‑time regulars while keeping the whole place running smoothly. The beer selection is far better than you would expect from a cozy local spot. There is a rotating craft lineup that rivals bigger bars, along with the classics and a surprisingly solid wine list. We spent half our visit sipping and the other half laughing at the hilarious signs covering the walls and at the antics of a couple of regulars who clearly keep the place lively.
