Came in for a coffee since this came up on the maps when I googled coffee near me! The name insinuates they serve coffee and wine, indeed they do! They have a dedicated area for coffee but no dedicated barista in the afternoons at least, since I came around 4pm. A bartender made me coffee and it was good, not nothing to write home about. I didn't see any signature coffees on the menu so I wouldn't call this a craft coffee shop. They do have a full bar and restaurant inside which looked fun with all of the decor. I'm sure this would be a good spot to handout and have a cocktail and some food. read more

I enjoyed a brunch here on Friday afternoon, the day after Christmas. My family and I wanted a small bite and some drinks and landed on Grind & Grape after checking the menu and seeing they had food options. We arrived around 1:00 PM and happened to be the first people there, which was nice. The indoor ambiance is very casual. It's not really a place for large groups or gatherings, but it's great for a small group looking to grab a drink. Now for the service. Our server, who was also the bartender and chef, was incredibly accommodating, quick, and provided AMAZING service given the circumstances, so kudos to her. That said, she was the only person working in the entire establishment that day. While it was manageable when it was just our party, once more guests started coming in it was clearly overwhelming. She ultimately had to close the kitchen, which was understandable, but it happened before everyone in our group was able to order food. That left us in an awkward situation where we had to leave and go elsewhere so the rest of our party could eat. We still had a great time and enjoyed our drinks, and this is absolutely not a reflection on the server at all. This falls on management or ownership. Staffing only one employee the day after Christmas is something that really needs to be reevaluated. I genuinely felt bad for her. read more

Walked in this morning hoping to get a good coffee. The outside is beautiful and the ambiance inside is great too. Unfortunately, the quality of the drinks didn't match the quality of the environment. We ordered a coffee and an iced chai and it tasted sour. We're thinking maybe the milk was expired. Wandered into G+G on the way to dinner at The Tides (which is phenomenal by the way). We we lured in by the sweet acoustic sounds of a young hawaiian man singing solo on the outdoor stage. Wow, what a fantastic talent. They book great entertainment. Besides having to ask the boomers next to us to turn off the audio of their dogs barking on their ring camera app, not a bad time at all. Stopped by The Grape & Grind for a late-night drink and had a nice time. The craft cocktails were both beautiful and delicious, and the fish dip was tasty. When we ran out of crackers, the chef went the extra mile and toasted a fresh baguette for us--such a simple but thoughtful touch. Definitely a spot I'd return to. read more

I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN ZERO STARS IF I COULD. On Saturday March 28th, my daughter and her friends were stranded at Grind and Grape at the bar closing waiting for an Uber. Management, although inside the bar cleaning, insisted that they wait outside for their uber because the bar had closed. Management was perfectly willing to take their money, but put young girls outside in the dark to wait for the Uber. What harm would there have been if they waited inside the door? You should treat your customers better and during a time of need rather than kicking them to the curb. read more

This is such a fun local hang out! Different music all of the time! The coffee bar is good and the cocktails depend on the bartender making them. I would have given it five stars, but it has been a hit or miss for food and cocktails. The wings are good, but I do not recommend the flatbreads - very bland. The pretzel bites and cheese are a must - so delicious. I recommend you stop in, if for nothing else just to grab a cocktail and sit on the patio and enjoy the live music. read more

Celebrating our 28 anniversary on Vero Bch for weekend. We wanted dinner and music. We got both here. Place had a cool vibe, was open for outdoor/indoor seating like an open bazaar. We started with a blueberry and a peach cocktail. As usual I preferred the peach and my wife the blueberry cocktail no surprise. The food floored us. Started with an order of Bbq Pork Nachos. Had low expectations since this is not your regular bbq place. Loved everything about it. After finishing that plate we tried the Smoked Wings with Honey Sriracha Lime Sauce. Great flavor and a little heat kick at the end. My wife got the Cheese Charcuterie. The meats were the standards and plentiful the cheeses were unique, some were our first time sampling and all were tasty choices. Our server Taylor was a pleasure. Went with some friends to grab drinks and dinner around 6pm. There was plenty of open seating and was not busy. I had not been before, and let me just say, Grind + Grape is not really a dinner destination. If you want a decent sit-down dinner, look elsewhere. A group of us sat outside on the patio. The tables are metal, rickety, and small providing limited space to accommodate drinks, food boards, and silverware. They also have outdoor speakers, and the music was being played so loud that we could hardly carry on a conversation. The server got our drinks pretty quickly, but then there was a long stretch of time we had not seen him, and I had to go inside and ask if he could come out because we wanted to order some food. We indicated when we ordered who was on separate tickets. The majority of the menu entrees run about $14. A few at the table had chocolate expresso martinis which were tasty and those cost $16. The entrees ordered at our table included the Cuban panini, the Club wrap, Monte Cristo sandwich, BBQ chicken flatbread, and the wild mushroom flatbread. The sandwiches and wraps also come with potato chips. We all agreed that our entrees were just very average, and the BBQ chicken flatbread was drowning in sauce. When it came time to settle up, the server brought the bill out all on one check, so we had to have everything sorted out to pay our bills. When we left the stage was being set up for some music. I can't say there was ANY "vibe" of sorts while we were there. I can say it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air, however again the music being played over the speakers made it difficult to carry on conversations while there. I would suggest that the manager consider playing the music at a lower volume as "background" music until the evening band or DJ starts their entertainment. The G+G offers does offer music every night, so if you are looking for a spot to enjoy some tunes and drinks, this is more of a night spot for socializing versus a place to consider going for a nice sit-down meal. read more

Service was great at the beginning, but being 1of only 2 tables inside was a bit disappointing for the service received. Ordered a second glass of wine, a second was never poured. When asking the server if I ordered a second, I was basically told I had already finished my second and could order a third if I liked. I was told the waiter 'believed' that I think I only had drank the one, but that he didn't believe me. It's not about the wine but the principle here, there is no confusion. We live in Vero and enjoy coming here for the expresso martinis especially when company visits. Have been here 3 times in past 30 days and two out of 3 visits were horrible. First one we ordered drinks with nice young gentleman at the bar and some food. All good but then he went off duty and the woman that took over for him was not very professional. When we asked why our food was taken so long she said she didn't know we ordered food... 2 different orders then came out 15 minutes apart. My husband wanted a beer and asked three times she ignored him. So we ate real quick and left. 2nd time we came in after dinner for some cocktails with our son that was visiting we went to sit at the bar and there was a box and pile of papers on a chair my son picked it up and put it on the bar so we could all have a seat... same girl came out and said very nastily "Thanks for moving my stuff" my son said wow let's go and we left without ordering. The last time nice chilly December afternoon and we went in and the head Barista was there and she was so pleasant and made great coffees for us that our daughter (back in NJ) says it was the best peppermint coffee she ever had. We will always go back but if the nasty girl is working we will not stay it's a shame because it's a nice place and we enjoy sharing it with our family and friends. read more

Loved the jazz band playing that drew us in . We sat on the patio to enjoy the atmosphere .... We are a t a bar top... having waited tables myself i started to walk in just to let them know we sat behind a wall area. A young lady walked towards me with a VERY pissed off look - i said hi... i just wanted to let you know where we were and we sat ourselves.... she looked so pissed off. I said I'm sorry did I do something you are mad about ... seating ourselves??? She didn't say anything just laid down our menus. We were pleasant when she came back but she either hates working there or had a really bad morning. We be left a 20% tip but i did write ... Your attitude determines your paycheck. We still left a decent tip because we waited tables before but not everyone will . I hope your day gets better. Visited while in town at different times and it never disappointed. It's not easy to find places that are open late during the week in Vero Beach. The first time, our party of six walked in at about 11:30 pm. Our needs were all over the place, but given the concept here it worked out. A bottle of bubbly, hot tea, and coffee with a side of great music by the DJ? Check! We ended up staying until almost 2 am. On a Thursday! I also tried their coffee cake, macaron, and coffee. Loved it all. The prices were also very reasonable. It's small, but well thought out. One area acts as a coffee bar/bakery, the center section offers ample seating with tabletops, and the other side works as a lounge with sofas. Adding this one to my Vero Beach rotation. read more

I wish there was more than one marked vegan item on the menu. I am not a big fan of the vegetarian/vegan platter. Vegetarian is not the same as vegan. The honey sriracha lime vegan meatball skewer is not vegan. Honey is not vegan. So it being labeled as the vegan platter is incorrect. I would like if this restaurant correctly labeled vegan options, and offered more than one. As far as I was told the "hummus + crudité" item on the menu is vegan. That is the only item I'm aware of that is actually vegan on the menu, and it isn't even labeled as such. Correctly labeling/marking vegan options makes it easier for both the customer and staff. The hummus + crudité is okay but in my opinion it could use some more veggies, maybe red or yellow bell pepper. I would love to see more than one marked vegan option at this restaurant. At the very least I feel like the labeling should be corrected. read more

Super Bowl weekend. Most of the places were closed early. A lady at the hot tub, a Michigan transplant, told us about this spot. Grinding in the morning for fresh brew and evening turns into a wine bar. We had a drink in downtown earlier so this was our second drink / dinner spot. Ordered Rose, and then mussels. The lights were beautiful in the yard, the atmosphere, nice. The lady we chatted with earlier in the hotel liked us and gave us bunch of recommendations, this is a local joint she said, for people who are older. The wine collection is great, she says. I liked sitting in there, looking out to the tree lights, soaking in Florida sun drenched air, I could be anywhere, really, but this random dot on the map has a Kimptons, and we travelled over 10 hours to get here, with the rain we left behind in San Francisco, the layover in Atlanta, the drive from West Palm Beach. This was a good spot to get lost with the people you are crazy about. I am in heaven. read more

Wow! This place needs new management or something. From start to finish, it was not a truly wonderful experience - and overpriced on top of that. From service to food to ambience, my party had legitimate complaints about it all! What this place has going for it is location. We went in the afternoon to get some coffee, and were served iced coffee that was made with hot coffee and ice cubes. Needless to say, it was pretty bad. Because the plan was to meet people there, we later gathered for drinks and a light dinner. While waiting, we sat outside. We hesitated to sit on the filthy entirely used up pillows, so sat on some uncomfortable metal chairs at tables outside. Just a pity, because the little nooks where there are seats with pillows are really sweet. But, the pillows condition may even be a matter for the health department. We couldn't sit on them - and they were uncomfortable because they were thoroughly worn out and deflated. Once the rest of our party got there, we moved inside and ordered wine. The wine took forever to get to us. Wine. The menus were filthy and worn out. I personally didn't want to touch them. The service was lackluster at all times, but evening server was nice. The flatbreads were mediocre and burned to boot. The goat cheese flatbread had cheese that was mixed with some other cheese. This was not what was expected. Then, about halfway through our meal that took us forever to get, they decided to blast the inappropriate music and we couldn't hear each other. Unbelievable. That drove us out. And we will never return. Either they are in significant need of a new owner, or new management, or their advertising is all wrong for whatever the crowd is they want to attract. The sole positive attribute of this business is that it is located not too far from the water. But far enough that you can't see the water from there. So I don't consider that an adequate excuse. I originally gave this review one star. But I'm changing it to two, because as my co-diner pointed out, the bathrooms are not filthy. I understand that they have live music at this location at night, and on weekends. It sounds like that's why people go there. But clearly they need to get their act together in the afternoon and early evening. read more

Unfortunately they seem to be either understaffed or undertrained, so ordering was a bit of a mess and a bit confusing. We went for breakfast, and when we were ordering found out that they did not have...get this...butter or hash browns. What?! It's a breakfast place with pastries, and you don't have butter? Ok whatever. Our table got a few things: some French toast, the lazy sunday egg plate, an Italian panini, coffees and macaroons. Although pretty, the French toast was super basic and lacked flavor. Homemade French toast is better. The lazy egg plate was even more lazy than it's name implies. Overs rambled eggs in a tiny plate, just horrible. Oh and by the time we got that food it was cold. Like, very cold. We had to send it back. All of the food came out at different times, which was awkward for everyone at the table as waiting for everyone to eat would have our food go cold...or colder. Lol. The macaroons were good and the Italian panini was very good. It saves the whole review honestly because the rest of our experience was pretty bad. The live music was cute and if you don't care about quality and temperature of food and just need a place to consume calories with a nice ambience, it's good for you. Vero needs places like this, I stopped in for an Americano and to pick up some treats for an office. I live the concept of the coffee +wine bar. Both had plenty of choices to offer. They had a case full of pastries and sweets. I thought they offered lunch, but had to ask for the menu. The staff was super friendly. Ambience is nice and casual. I did inquire about happy hour it is 4-6. I saw a sign that says $2 off wine for happy hour. I like that they have nice patio seating. This seems to be an ideal place for a quick libation before or after dinner or for men to gather while their better halves shop at the nearby boutiques. 4 stars for creativity. 4 stars for ambience.. 4!stars for staff friendliness. Quaint "boutique"-style place less than a minute's walk from Ocean Drive. Not what would be considered a full restaurant type menu, but plenty of satisfying options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A full liquor bar, a wine room, and craft beer on tap are also available. The evening we were there the ribeye and wild mushroom flatbreads and the apple & Gorgonzola salad we requested were freshly prepared and very tasty. The friendly young staff was attentive but not hovering, and the chef actually spent time at our table to ensure we were pleased with our choices. Our drink and dessert selections topped off a lovely evening and we left convinced we had stopped at the right place. NOTE: During our visit It came to our attention that there have been some recent changes in the staff, so if you had a negative experience in the past and it's been a while since you were there, you might want to consider giving Grind + Grape another chance. read more
