The shower in a home we just bought had low flow/pressure. We weren't sure how far back the cause was or how much repiping we'd need. Fortunately, Jerry was able to get to it right away. Turned out to be a rust-clogged T-pipe between the hot and cold valves, so we didn't have to replace pipe. At some point we will probably need to repipe the house, but thank goodness not today. Jerry cleaned up when he was done, did very minimal damage to the drywall -- Which absolutely had to be cut and we knew that was going to be the case before he came over -- He did give me the contact info for his drywall guy, who we will probably call later when we are done with assorted projects. Fast, honest, professional. Best of all, the price was terrific! It was far less than the original good price he quoted me because it turned out not to need as much work as it might have. His estimates for other work, including repiping, were all quite reasonable. He also patiently put up with my watching him work and helped me with a leaking sink drain that I wasn't successfully repairing myself. We couldn't be happier. I called Jerry and made an appointment with him the following week. Over the weekend I thought I was able to fix the problem so I called and cancelled the appointment a couple days before. But upon checking the flow meter for our property I saw that it was still spinning. I called him back and rescheduled. The night before the appointment I found the leak in our home and was able to fix it myself. It was actually two leaky toilets. The day of the appointment I went to check the time of the appointment via the text message he sent me. There was also a link to a website app on it that I hadn't checked yet. Upon clicking on it I saw that he was going to charge me $189 plus tax for just even coming to our house. I've had contractors come out before, including an HVAC guy and they e never charged me for coming out. But that was my mistake for not checking the link he gave me! Since I already fixed the problem I called Jerry last minute and cancelled. Every single time I've called Jerry he was quick to answer the phone and he was polite. He even politely told me to never call him again. Because of his quick phone answering and his exceptional politeness, I rate Jerry's company a five out of five. Water had backed up in a shower and we could not flush any toilets. Jerry came out and went into the crawl space to determine where the blockages were. He snaked the shower line from the outside drain and was able to clear it. After working to clear a plugged line at the other end of the house, he was able to clear it to. When Jerry had finished, we mentioned that one of our heat pumps was not working. He looked at the unit, and quickly determined that a capacitor had gone out, and needed to be replaced. He replaced it, and we now have heat, and were able to cancel an appointment we had with a heat pump company. My wife mentioned that we had to take quick showers before our hot water ran out. Jerry determined that the lower heating element was bad in the hot water heater. He replaced the element and saved us from making yet another appointment to have this checked out. I can't recommend Jerry enough! I had called another company about a gurgling sound in my furnace and they convinced me that my 10 year old furnace needed to be replaced because the heat exchanger was cracked. I just happened to mention my issue to Jerry when he was servicing my hot water heater and he took the time to look at the furnace and after doing diagnostics found there was nothing wrong at all. We probably had a plugged tube which was an easy fix. He even installed a low level carbon monoxide detector to assure me that everything was fine. He saved me a ton of money and is very honest which I found out is a rare commodity! read more
