Nobody wants to have a bad tattoo but unfortunately my tattoo here with Charlie did not go well. I was left with severely scarred and torn up skin, and my tattoo was not able to be fixed until 10 months later. My skin scabbed far more heavily than I have ever seen and while I have never bled at all for another tattoo I bled heavily for this one. There were also issues with lines not being straight and coloring going outside the lines. I have healed several other tattoos of similar size with similar amounts of ink and never had an issue. I spoke to multiple other artists after having this work done and each confirmed the issue was with the artist and not my aftercare. I have finally had the tattoo repaired (which of course was extra cost) but it will never be free of flaws. The owner is Jay Baxter and he's done my last two pieces and I couldn't be happier with the results. There are three artists there and they are all very good. I put off getting tattooed again for a long while because I didn't want to do the cliche Cliff's or Lou's thing again. Finally I got around to going down there and talking to Jay and I knew this was the right place for me. This isn't one of those tattoo parlors where they peel and stick a tattoo on you from one of the many pictures on the wall just like the dozens of other people there before you. They will meet with you and go over ideas and draw you up your own custom one of a kind piece and you will love it. It is very professional here and the shop has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. All egos in check, unlike some other shops. It is also very clean and the artist's areas are neat and orderly. I am a very particular person and I had very specific requests for my tattoos. My first large tattoo was on my thigh and it was done 100% to my satisfaction. It is beautiful and John Lally adhered to my every request. (Two tiger Lillies joined with a Fleur du Lis) For my second, even larger and more detailed tattoo, Ganesha), I gave John Lally some photos and inspirational color choices and his finished product yielded an unbelievably gorgeous tattoo that people stop me to admire. His talent, patience, and creativity are phenomenal. My next tattoo is a couples tattoo (Lion & lioness) and we will go to him as well. What I love is, he gets and knows my style and everyone of my tattoos are absolutely beautiful and I'm honored to wear his art! I will never go anywhere else. His wife is a beautiful, professional women inside and out and has done all of my piercings. She takes the mom approach and guides you every step of the way. I love her suggestions and my piercings are beautiful. I'm a well educated woman who appreciates and respects their craft and I highly recommend them. My first tattoo with Jay was a coverup on my hip. From that first session on I knew I had found my artist for life. I have gotten 2 piercings done by Asia. The first was extremely painful but it was her first time doing one and it was of no cost to me, so no complaints. However the nipple piercing I received I have since learned was placed entirely wrong- too deep and through the aeriola. I am taking it out to heal and getting it redone by a more experienced piercer. Just make sure you know exactly what you want done as she is not very experienced and I was not asked about placement. read more
