Went here for my birthday and got a full body massage. The service was very pleasant and respectful, we were immediately acknowledged, informed of what was going to happen and led to the back room. The massage room was relaxing and peaceful with light music playing. The essential oils/lotions they used were lightly scented and very moisturizer. I have had excellent results from Massage Envy in Boise thanks to Massage therapist, Leilani. I had a back muscle injury and I just could not get it to heal. I went to Leilani at the Massage Envy in Boise to see if she could help me. Leilani was very knowledgeable and used just right amount of deep tissue pressure to address my injury. Save your money and don't go to a corporate owned facility for a massage. The energy was off and it felt like somebody was just applying lotion to my body. There wasn't ever a great massage. One of the worst massages I've had. Felt very rushed and impersonal. You tell them what areas to pay attention to, and it was disregarded. Low quality and over priced. WARNING... Horrible Customer Service. Saturday I called to book an appointment, and unfortunately Sat was all booked, but Sunday 10am was available... which I booked. I showed up 15 min early, only to find out they cancelled my appointment without notifying me. Why... they still can't tell me. After being on hold for an 40+ min, they are saying I called to cancelled it. (why would I cancel an appointment I just made and showed up to it??). When I did show up, all the girls could say was "I'm sorry". Sorry for cancelling my appt. Sorry for wasting my time. As I called to talk to a manager, of course, no one available (and still hasn't called me back). What pissed me off is I could have gone somewhere else at 2pm... but this one was early am which worked better. Afterwards, I called the 2pm appt back - filled, argh... I called back to talked to the central booking CS manager, and after a lengthy call they told me they'd call me back; still, no reply. I just hung up with the central bookings and they told me it was me who cancelled the appt. But after being on hold for 20 min. and with some really bad on-hold acid-trippin' music, I told the girl to replay my booking call, which she did, and confirmed, it wasn't me that cancelled it. Did they offer to make good on any of this... no. Offer anything but a stupid... I'm sorry, no! Unbelievable. I come from a world of "Do what you say and say what you do!". If you screw up, own it and make amends. Now they have really wasted my time; an hour driving to and from the appt, and over an hour on the phone to try to resolve this. And it's still, its not resolved. My advice... plenty of non-corporate massage therapist in town here, call someone else!!!! read more

WARNING!!! DECEPTIVE LOCATION!!!! On February 2nd my wife went into Massage Envy for a massage. I had booked this massage for her due to her giving birth the previous Saturday and to help her recover. During her appointment she did not receive a massage and instead received energy work. My wife felt very uncomfortable the entire time and kept wondering when the massage was going to begin. It never did and was never received an explanation of what was happening. After her massage she made a complaint to the front desk that she did not receive the massage service she had booked and was not happy with the service. She then was informed that energy work was a massage but that if she would like to make a complaint, she would need to first pay for her service and then they would rebook her for February 10th and potentially she would receive that service free, but that she would probably have to sign up for a monthly membership. The front desk lady stated that she needed to speak with her management first to see if they could wave her from having to sign up for the monthly membership. My wife came out crying and very upset. She felt taken advantage of and that she had been deceived. Massage Envy never called back and on Monday February 6th I called for my wife and spoke with the manager. The manager informed me the only way my wife would get the service that she requested was to sign up for a membership or pay for another massage. It seems like the only customers they care about helping are monthly paying members. Been a member for years and you really can't beat this deal. Not the same as a Hotel Resort of course as they don't have Steam and Saunas or elaborate rooms but they are a quarter of the price! Not all the therapist are the same so keep trying them out until you find a good one.... read more

after canceling my membership in October of 2023 my account was hit for 288.00 in December of 2024 after confirming with employees that my membership was cancelled. I have sent several emails, had 3 phone conversations and contacted corporate with no refund. Ally the manager at the state street location in Boise was extremely uncooperative and rather dismissive. Do not enroll! After 6 years of membership at various locations. I am beyond disappointed with the absolute lack of customer service. You can join at your local office but after that you are sent to email hell with no one you can talk to directly and it has been over 60 days after my request to cancel and they are still billing me. Their solution? Keep emailing corporate since "we can't cancel you". Argh!! I don't care how good the massages are if it this much trouble and stress to cancel. read more

This massage envy is terrible. We had a membership and even before Covid they were scheduling out 3-5 weeks and after hit Covid hit they got far worse even up to 8 weeks. We found out that they had only 2 therapists left. We believe this is because of their horrible manager Allie. Because they had only 2 therapists we ended up having 6 massages accrued for my wife and 6 accrued for me. We travel for our business and we do not get the luxury of knowing our schedule 8 weeks out so scheduling was difficult. Also after scheduling that far out there were occasions when they would call and cancel on us for a variety of reason. The excuses used were varied, sick therapist, double booking etc. We eventually asked to cancel our membership. We followed the instructions given and even after cancelling they repeatedly charged our card. I changed the card number and they still attempt to charge the old card. We have gone through their cancellation process again and I believe they will again pretend not to get it. I contacted the franchise owner via email and they never responded. I called Allie and explained the situation and told her it had to stop, no more attempts to charge my card. To which she became loud and verbally abusive. I told her that if they continued I would file a lawsuit and fraud charges. She screamed into the phone "I F**king date you" and hung up on me. Oh and at one point after cancelling they charged my card $120, I changed my card number after that charge thankfully and then they attempted to charge me another $200 on the exact same day that they charged me the $120. Massage envy is a HORRIBLE company. Good therapists typically find better paying jobs at companies that treat them far better. NEVER EVER GO TO OR JOIN MASSAGE ENVY. I suggest finding other massage businesses to go to. I have told this story to some of our friends and found out they too had similar problems with HORRIBLE MASSAGE ENVY. I WOULD LEAVE THEM ZERO STARS OR 10 NEGATIVE BUT THATS NOT AN OPTION. We ended up losing 12 massages that had built up due to their lack of therapists at $50 each so $600 and $120 they charged us once we told them we wanted to cancel amd if I had not changed my card number we would have also been charged another $200. STAY AWAY FROM HORRIBLE MASSAGE ENVY. ASK ANYONE and if they ever had a membership there amd cancelled there is a massive chance they got screwed over. read more

Cannot wait for my next massage! I decided to try out this particular massage envy because it was closer to my work. For my first visit i treated myself to a facial and massage. The facial was fine but my massage was hands down one of the best massages I have received. My masseuse Nick was very educated and was able to pin point my pain locations as well as assist me with stretching. As Nick is also a yoga instructor, he was able to provide me with additional information to stretch my body out more to keep my muscles looser and prevent these painful periods. Needless to say... I have a lot to work on with yoga haha. Nick was incredibly professional and you can tell he has a passion for his career. I rarely ever rebook a massage session because of lack of time in my schedule, however, I cannot wait until my next massage that I booked that day. read more

I've been a loyal Massage Envy member since 2017 and have had a great experience until this summer. I have not had a massage since July 22nd! I've had THREE appointments canceled on me last minute with promises of rescheduling but there's rarely any availability and minimal advance notice. It has become extremely difficult to schedule out appointments as well, requiring us to book at least 3 months in advance. I'm extremely frustrated I continue to pay for a service I can't use because there is no availability. The receptionist is always kind but of no help with my concerns and the manager has never called me back and won't respond to my email so I'm growing extremely frustrated. DON'T GO HERE because they apparently have way more clients than they can serve and don't care if they cancel on you! read more

The overall massage was great! However, when my therapist told me my 90 minutes was up I thought that couldn't be right. I was right! My hands on massage was about 65 minutes. I checked my watch when I was told to undress and checked it again a few minutes after my massage was over. I was in the room a total of 70-75 minutes and I paid for a 90 minute massage. I spoke to them about it and was discounted the price of my aromatherapy, $10. This is the second time this has happened at this company. I don't think I'll be back again. read more

Do not do business with this company, you will regret it dearly. I bought a one year membership and at the conclusion of my final appointment, I was taken through a renewal script/sales pitch, offered an incentive, etc...I stated clearly that I had no interest in renewing. I answered the clerks questions several times "No" I do not wish to renew. I signed something to that effect and left under the assumption that was the end of the agreement. Massage Envy continued to charge my credit card $60 per month from Oct 2019 thru Sep 2020, $720 stolen! When I discovered the issue, I immediately called the Boise location. I was told to expect a call from Lori Eastman, General Manager. She never called. I went into the Nampa location near my home, spoke to Shalyssa, Clinic Administrator. She assured me that she would cancel the membership immediately, and Lori Eastman would call me to refund the money. Lori Eastman ignored my messages submitted through her staff and never called me back! I finally got Ms Eastman's direct phone number and when I spoke to her, she refused to refund the money. Challenged me to prove I had cancelled the agreement a year ago with something in writing. These auto renewal contracts are designed to steal your money. How else do you explain a company taking a payment every month for a year and never having to provide any service to that customer? They are deceitful and greedy! THEY TOOK MY MONEY, PROVIDED NO SERVICE, INCURRED NO EXPENSE BUT, REFUSED TO REFUND MONEY THEY SIPHONED OFF MY CREDIT CARD FOR A YEAR. I went yesterday and it was my first time at Massage Envy. I have had so many massages that have been amazing. My friend goes here and loves it. I was having problems with back, neck and shoulder pain. I also have fibromyalgia so I needed someone with a light touch. I got someone who had a stronger touch than I wanted. He just was not a good match for me. The manager did reach out to me which was nice and said that next time they would match me with someone who was a better fit. read more

This is probably the most unprofessional and low quality massage I have ever had. My massage therapist talked the entire time I was in the massage, which started late and ended early leaving me with less than an hour. She did not work/touch my arms down to my hands, did not touch my feet, or my head. And did not work on the area I specifically wanted her to work. I called in 2 days post-appointment to give some feedback to the staff (before leaving this review) and was only told "they paired me poorly" with the therapist and would document this for future appointments. We started going to this location in 2018 because we had received gift certificates. We liked the experience and found a therapist we each liked so we signed up as members. Since we became members in a short year both my husband and I have had three different therapists because the ones we liked moved on to a different company or went independent. Lots of "turnover" in therapists here, so I am assuming that they aren't happy there. It's been very disappointing to finally find a therapist you trust at this company. I asked the front sales team and they really don't say much about why your trusted therapist has left. Also, the scheduler's call and change our appointments all the time because of the turnover? The time of the massages also varies, usually shorter than the time we get 90 min. We are considering quitting this place and finding another company. Buyer beware here for sure. read more

I tried to cancel my membership in February while I was at the office. They gave me a large form to fill out and sent me on my way... I'm busy and didn't fill it out until May. When I brought that in the guy told me to email member services, and handed me a card with the email address on it... but couldn't cancel it for me there, with my paper work. So I emailed the address and didn't get a response... I finally got a reply in September and they will reimburse my September fees.... well, thanks for nothing and I won't go back. read more
