Longtime client with the subscription package. This place has only 2 masseuses. They have no problem taking your money but you can get massages for months at a time. My normal masseuse quit and I'm stuck paying every month and getting a subpar massage from a masseuse that can't do a firm massage. So word of advice, don't get the package deal. Not worth it. Management acts like they want to help but short of cloning a few employees they can't do anything and refuse to help you. I have multiple packages that they will only give you two months to use when you cancel. Won't issue a credit to use later either. Total garbage! Steer clear and go somewhere else. read more

Cindy Dill the manager is ripping off my 70 year old mother whom is trying to cancel her membership and Cindy refuses to contact her back even though they promise a 24-72hr call back window. I've had to escalate to corporate because only the manager can give you the cancellation forms. And the Franchisee, Alicia Norris is nowhere to be found. I slept funny had a pain in my neck. I went to breakfast across the way. Saw the sign. Was like Alright. This is perfect. I walk up to the door it's locked. Lady behind desk waving. I would like a message. We are two weeks out. I get come back give me an hour. WTF good is a massage 2 weeks out. My neck is sore today. I need open. Heart surgery today come back in two weeks??? Then She proceeds to go down the list. Membership,monthly get the hell out of here. I try to support local business. This place is ridiculous. Then I read the revues. Thank goodness. I didn't go. The experience I had today at this establishment was the most dehumanizing, degrading and vile exchange I have ever had. The ambiance may be nice but the individuals that they have employed do not have the similar views on customer service and Jaylen has proven to be one of the most rude and vile characters I have come across. The way he speaks and his attitude towards a customer who was having their very first massage experience, who had some insecurity about acne and her skin was distasteful and crass. If you have any spots on your body just know that jaylen will lack sensitivity. Know that the owner of this location is unconcerned with ensuring that everyone is comfortable as they undergo an intimate process where they should feel safe. Jaylen should not be allowed in the presence of anyone when they are in any state of vulnerability. Shame on this location for allowing such a crude person to show up to work with people whom come to pay their money for a good experience. read more

So I made an appointment for Monday at 3pm. I was required to give a credit card ahead of time as no shows/late cancels are charged full price. Once I arrived for my appointment I realized they had changed my therapist to someone who isn't able to do the type of pressure I requested. I figured it would still be nice so let it go. However a couple minutes later I got a call from them stating that the person I had been scheduled with was unable to do my massage due to a family emergency and had to leave a few minutes earlier. They stated they couldn't call me earlier due to their phone line being down and they were now using a cell phone. Made no sense but ok. They offered to reschedule me for Wednesday at noon and said they'd add on an enhancement of aromatherapy lotion. I agreed but couldn't help but think that at most spas scented lotion is par for the course and doesn't come with an up charge. Also very interesting considering their inflexible cancellation policy. It would've cost me the full price of a massage if I had cancelled 5 minutes prior but for them it cost a $10 enhancement. My appointment itself was mediocre. The room was poorly decorated and therapist was nice but not overly friendly and she rushed - my massage was closer to 45-50 minutes, not 60. She spent very little time on the areas I had highlighted on the check in paperwork. Overall the massage was ok, not bad but also not great. Once I finished the woman at the front desk told me I would be charged $115 next time ($55 more than the one time introductory price) unless I subscribed to a monthly membership. How outrageous. Most spas I've been to in the past charge $75-$100 for 60 mins massage, $115 is overpriced and a joke considering the mediocrity of the experience and their poor customer service. By far the worst customer service my spouse and I have experienced at a . Couple massage was rescheduled without proper notice after being scheduled for a day that their masseuse did not work on and we were not compensated in any fashion. This is only one of several issues we have went through within the course of a year here, to include being charged more than once for a single month. I am a member of Massage Envy (ME). I pay monthly and receive a 60 minute session once a month. It is very clean and new. Last month I booked a "deep tissue" massage and went for my session. My session started over 30 minutes late and it was not a deep tissue massage. ME sent me a survey about my experience and I explained to them what had happened. The manager contacted me to remedy the situation. I was booked this month with an excellent therapist (Evelyn) and they added on 30 minutes to my hour for free. I would give the MT 5 stars for the massage but the people scheduling really need to learn what the skills of their therapists are. read more

He uses very deep pressure and is extremely professional (he always seems very timid and nervous when talking in the beginning, but once he gets started, it's magnificent.) I have had a membership for about a year . Really appreciate the services of Theresa, however the customer service is sorely lacking!! I had an appointment today and was on my way but due to a hazmat incident 95 was shut down. I called to explain I have been stuck in traffic for an hour nothing is moving. The receptionist originally tells me she understands even some therapist have not made it in today I wouldn't be charged they would just reschedule. Ten minutes later she calls me back to say she is sorry but she spoke to manager and I will be charged unless I can get there in 15 minutes. I spent two hours and 15 minutes in my car to drive 12 miles in a circle to get back home. The more I thought about this the angrier I became. Obviously they had been rescheduling people because of the situation so why the sudden change. Now you are charging me for a massage I didn't receive. I call back this evening to speak to manager who is not there and this receptionist doesn't even know her last name Lisa something???? How unprofessional!!!! read more

Received a massage that left me extremely sore and bruised for days. Even after telling the masseuse that the pressure was too hard, he proceeded to torture me. Out of all the massages I've ever received, I've never had anyone push so hard on my spinal column. Since when are you supposed to focus on massaging someone's bones the entire massage?? I sent the establishment owner an in depth email along with a picture of the damage to my back and received NO RESPONSE. I'll pass on ever getting a massage or membership here and will be sure to communicate this information to my friends and family. Poor massage technique and even worse customer service. read more

Horrible experience! I've gotten massages at multiple places across the world but the customer service here was by far the worst. Had booked a 60mins appointment for myself and my pregnant wife - and upon reaching 10mins late I was only given a 15 minutes massage but charged the full amount for a 60mins massage. The front desk receptionist was an amateur and couldn't coordinate at all and kept going back and forth with the Manager (unnecessary stress for my wife!). The Manager eventually called back only to confirm full charge, and was evidently the most uncooperative person I've encountered! Never going back and wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends either, they've literally lost a potential client! read more

I booked a same day appointment that I called and canceled 10 minutes later. They charged me for the appointment sighting I did not follow the policy of canceling 24 hours in advance. It is impossible to do this with a same day appointment I booked for 2 hours and 15 in the future and they still had over 2 hours to book the allotted time. This was my second time going to this establishment for a massage. After today, I will never return. I booked a deep tissue massage online earlier in the week and was called twice yesterday to confirm the massage for today. In the voice messages the girl explained my therapist had resigned and asked if it was ok to be scheduled with a new one. I agreed, thinking that whoever I was switched to would have the skills to perform the service I had booked. Upon arrival today I had to sign a consent saying my therapist was a "CME" and was not able to do a deep tissue massage or treat medical issues. Due to my referral from my chiropractor to get a deep tissue massage I informed the receptionist that I would like to reschedule with someone who could complete what I needed. She informed me I would have to pay 50% of the service and that it would not go towards my rescheduled appointment. She also passed the phone to me to speak with her assistant manager. After explaining to the assistant manager on the phone what my issue was, I was told the same thing. Deciding I would have to pay for a service either way whether I received it or not I decided to just get the massage and schedule a deep tissue one for another time. My massage therapist was professional and nice, but overall did not complete what I needed to have done. (Not her fault). Both the receptionist and the manager were extremely unprofessional and did not display any concern for my health care needs. I'm sorry for anyone else who has been treated this way when trying to receive help for their chronic pain or back problems. After this experience I will never come back and have wasted money when I could have spent it at an establishment that cares about my health. The only reason I gave massage envy 2 stars is because of the CME. The assistant manager does not deserve her position since clearly she considers it appropriate to solve customer issues over the phone and just repeats the same thing over and over again. Whoever owns this location needs to seriously improve their staff if they want to have any future customers. Word of mouth travels fast. read more

If I could give this place no stars that's what it would be. I worked here twice and it's only been a headache everyday. The managers don't know what they're doing, the owner doesn't pay well and doesn't value her employees, and if you find a therapist you like they might not be there for long. Some service providers there are amazing but she doesn't know how to treat them. I had an appointment to receive a massage and had taken the day off to fully relax with other pampering appointments for a facial and pedicure this same day. I was preparing to head to the location in Newark when I received a phone call explaining that the therapist had called out sick. I said that I would be ok with a different therapist, when they informed me that there would not be any other openings for today and that "I wouldn't want to get thrown up on" regarding the therapist who had taken ill. Seriously? This is how you professionally speak with your clientele? I also find it to be hypocritical to cancel the appointment less than an hour prior, yet if I were to do that or simply not shown up they would have charged me. Regardless, they offered no other solution or even an apology. If you value your time and hard earned money, do not do business with this company...they will fail you in more ways than one. read more

I've been going to Massage Envy for several months now and the service there is great and it is lead by a very knowledgeable and business minded manager. Go Lisa. Finding a good massage place and the perfect therapist is very hard in Delaware and I've tried. When my regular therapist had to go out on medical I was left to find another therapist that was at least just as good as my regular one. After trying several therapist I finally found one that was perfect. After being rear ended several times my body has taken enough and like I said finding the right place and therapist is not easy in Delaware. I was blessed to find two at Massage Envy. I always get 90 minutes to help workout the pain and relax my muscles and Valeria did a great job. I am 6' 7" and thick and I know it isn't easy to find someone with the right method and style that can help me but how lucky am I to find two. If you are in pain and need an excellent therapist then go to Massage Envy at Christiana Mall area and ask for Nikki or Valeria. They both has made my painful life a lot more easier.
