He is so good, he knows where to find knots, he has long strokes, uses his fingers instead of a lot of therapists who use a lot of forearms and not really feeling your muscles like fingers can. I had the worst facial EVER. It was my first visit . The front desk girl was absolutely rude told me I was all signed in asked me to wait in the relaxation room my facial was at 4.30. It's 4.40 and then the aesthetician walks in and she says Oh you haven't signed THE form . Then she goes to the front desk and then a young lady comes in with a clipboard and says oh sorry you HAD to sign these forms which I would have if she was doing her job. Then I go in . I signed up to have a Microdermabrasion - then when she is about to begin the machine does not work . She spent a good ten minutes trying to get it to work which she couldn't . I asked if they had another machine and she said this location has only one machine. So I told her to do a regular massage which was TERRIBLE!! She finished on time exactly at 5.30 read more

I had Kristina (or maybe Christina?) as my therapist, and she really focused on my neck and feet--exactly what I asked for. The pressure was perfect, she knew exactly where to massage to get the knots and nerves, and she was so gentle with how she spoke and handled lifting my legs and head during the session. If you're curious about the cost, we paid $140 each for a 60-minute massage as non-members, and we tipped $15 per masseuse, which came to $310 total for a couple's massage. I cannot in good conscious recommend Massage Envy, and especially this location. Having received massages at numerous businesses, Massage Envy is far overpriced at $140 an hour, not including tip. I haven't had a good experience at a Massage Envy location, and the Claremont location was no different. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. If this review was for the front desk personality and service, I'd give 5 stars. The massage was terrible and the lady was borderline rude. During the massage she asked how the pressure was, and I told her she could be a little firmer. She laughed and asked if I was sure and told me she thought I would "regret it." There were points were the pressure was a little too much and, one time, I asked for a little lighter. She told me "oh no, you can't do that to me now, you need to hold on." She then proceeded to continue with the same pressure in the same spot without changing a thing. She focused on what seemed about 70% on my right side, which left me feeling uneven. She was kind of rough and crude with her technique. There were very few parts of the massage that were smooth and relaxing. When she used towels to wipe the oil off at the end, she kind of threw/dropped them on my back. When my massage was done, I was told "that's the end of your session, have a good evening." The masseuse then walked out of the room and I never saw her again. The massage therapist was highly un-empathetic and borderline rude. It was by far the worst experience I've ever had and it was even more painful paying this place $170. I felt like I got robbed, to be quite frank. I cannot and will not recommend this location to anyone. The price is far, far too high for the service you receive. read more

They are located at Baseline Road & Mills Avenue in the Vons Center and are impossible to miss. It's a clean and inviting facility. I've been coming to this location for a couple of years and I've never had an unpleasant experience. The front staff is always courteous and they try to accommodate to your requests. Once I was running 15 minutes late to my appointment due to excessive traffic - I called them to notify (fully understanding that I'd be paying for an hour massage and missing 15 minutes of it due to my own delay) and they actually re-scheduled me to a half hour later. This was completely unexpected and super appreciated! Of course some of the estheticians (for facials) and thereapists (for massages) are better than others, and you have to try them to see who works best for you. For facials, I like that they use all Dr. Murad brand products which I can trust and actually enjoy. I've had facials at other salons who use various unknown branded products which I don't feel comfortable with. It's not a luxury spa by any means- nothing fancy - but you do get pampered at a "value price" at Massage Envy - averaging $50.00 hour massages, and $60.00 facials plus gratuity. I'm not a stranger to Massage Envy--I usually visit the Upland location, and occasionally the Ontario location. This location is new and huge! I got lost on my way back from the restroom! So back to the services--the facial was wonderful, especially since with age, I'm doing double combat with wrinkles AND acne. They use Murad products, which I have never used on my own, but seem to do the trick here. At the end, Julianne made some product recommendations, but no huge push for the sale. I decided on one, and may build my collection each time i visit because I really enjoyed the facial and plan to return. The massage was good, but I usually like to try a few different therapists to see which i like best. And I was glad that I was able to stay in the same room for all the services. Caveat: The only reason I'm giving this ME a 4 instead of a 5 is because of a couple of last minute appointment drops. Meaning, I had scheduled a massage a few weeks out, and one day prior, both times, one of the admins called to tell me my therapist was unavailable. I understand that last minute cancellations sometimes happen, but it was disappointing both times. That being said, I've been a member here for about 3 years and those are my only complaints. Ambience: Every time I go to the Claremont ME, I'm greeted warmly, offered water, and invited to sit either in the lobby or the quiet room which is this lovely, relaxing space just off the reception area. The facility is always clean, which is great. Membership: I don't have trouble freezing and reactivating my account when I need to. Usually I freeze it for the summer, because that is when I travel most frequently. The admins here are all pleasant and professional, and sometimes the business owner visits to see how things are running, which is encouraging to see. My therapist: Christian is one of the best I've ever had. I've been getting massages for a little over ten years now, in just about every other state, so I know what is good, and what isn't. Christian is really intuitive, and treats our massage sessions like an opportunity for healing the whole person, not just relieving muscular pain and tension. He remembers what we've been working on, and checks in to see if any other parts of my body need attention before we get started. If you aren't a person who likes to engage in conversation during massage, he completely respects that. But it has been lovely for me to be able to develop such a good rapport with him and feel not only physically renewed when I leave, but mentally, as well. Overall, this ME is excellent, and I plan to keep my membership for as long as I possibly can. Also, the last time I used their lip exfoliating product for extra charge besides the membership fee, it destroyed my lips! My lips are still peeling and so dry to the point of bleeding! The place is very clean and the ambience relaxing. The therapist here generally are very good. I have my two favorites ( keeping that a secret). Boyfriend had requested to cancel our memberships early this year due to COVID fears and doors being shuttered. He was told that could be done and it was infact done for him. This week he was charged for memberships and instead of respecting our anxieties surrounding this global pandemic, the sales rep decided to bicker back and forth with him on the phone and refuse to refund despite the fact that we never should have been charged in the first place.
