The main reason that I cancelled my membership was because of LACK of communication between the Clinic and myself. I made an attempt to visit one more time today before putting a bad rating. Alex the Skin Care Specialist is the BEST! She went far above and beyond of any person I've ever encountered at ANY Massage Envy. She makes the rest look bad! I had a Microderm Abrasion done by Alex and she payed attention to detail. I never had anyone do what she did before (I've had about 5) She was so gentle and explained everything as she went. it's a complete scam. They don't have enough therapists to service the members they have but keep signing up members. You then accumulate credits and have to keep paying monthly for more credits. They won't let you freeze your account. If you cancel, you lose your credits after three months. I have been a member 10 years and am going to cancel. read more

As a CMT of 35 years, I am so disappointed to learn that this establishment does not require the employees to be vaccinated. My dear friend (who is immune-comprised), came for her appointment and by chance asked the female therapist if she was vaccinated. The therapist, who was masked, replied, "no, I'm not". I am deeply saddened that the therapist did not offer, up front, this information. Had my friend not asked, she would have been subjecting herself, UNKNOWINGLY to this irresponsibility. NOT COOL AT ALL! Simply unacceptable in this unpredictable time. It's not a wonder that my clients continue to trust in my honesty, skill and integrity. The two women that work the front desk on the weekends when I go, are always so friendly and nice. Amber is a great Esthetian and worked miracles on my face after the long months of quarantine. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR MEMBERSHIP! My review is really not 100% fair to the store itself except for the fact that the front desk employees here were the ones that gave me the bad information with regard to my unused membership massages. Massage Envy just settled a class action lawsuit because they cheated thousands of members out of their unused massages. I personally was cheated out of $350 worth of pre-paid massages! That means that I lost about six months worth of massage credit which is HALF the term of the one-year membership. Never, ever, ever sign up for membership. What really sucks is that the employees at all ME's I have visited are beyond exceptional. Don't you hate when bad companies hold good employees hostage? As a small business employer myself, I would kill for employees whose service equaled that of the ME's staff members - front desk and therapists - I have encountered. It is a double-edged sword with ME because so many of their therapists are amazing. I'm going to have to bypass those great massages, though, in favor of a company who cares more about the promises they make to their most committed customers who sign up for a year-long membership. I've been coming here for the past three months and enjoy each visit/treatment. My first visit was when I was 7 months pregnant and then a month after having my little girl. Today stood out more so than any other day, I was greeted by Leah who was kind and efficient. Then had my first massage with Caitlin who I've waited 3 weeks to get in with as I heard she's the one of their best. Truth be told Caitlin is incredible and so worth the wait. I even signed up my husband for a three month package deal just so he can get in with Caitlin. Yes that's how fabulous she is. Leah was such a joy as I was undecided at first if I should get the package and she put me at ease and said to think about it and put no pressure to buy. So with her gentleness I ended up purchasing this as a gift because it's SO worth it! The trick is to find a therapist who you feel good with as this is the key to having these treatments each month! One thing I'd love to see is water in the waiting area and perhaps something to make it a bit more relaxing while waiting like a lavender eye mask so you can begin your relaxation in the waiting area. read more

They were able to get me in last minute and had no problem accepting my appointment even though my home branch froze my account for some weird reason. My therapist almost put me to sleep. I've been to a few Massage Envy's around Denver but this one is my preferred location. Mostly because my favorite massage therapist, Rich, is there. I've seen Lauren a couple times too. They are both amazing for good, firm pressure, which I need to work out the pesky knots that are always in my upper back and neck. Amber is who I see for facials and my skin always feels glowing after one here. I've been less than impressed with the facials at other locations (as in I leave thinking, "My skin doesn't look or feel any different. I could have slapped on a mud mask at home"). Of course, they always try to sell you on the products that they use during the facial, but they don't press too hard so it's not terrible. They recently brought back the hot tea and water pitcher in the waiting area. They used to have lemon and cucumber water plus hot teas when I first started going a few years ago, but then it disappeared for a while. I'm glad to see that it's returned. Always nice to get there a little early and enjoy a warm cup of herbal tea before a relaxing massage. read more

Absolutely the worst facial I have ever had. She started out trying to sell this product I haven't even heard of. The entire facial was a nightmare. Very heavy touch I felt like I was getting beat up. Then she puts three things on me that burn like crazy. She didn't bother to look at my skin under magnification. No extractions offered. The skincare line was not soothing at all. And to top it all off I have chemical burns on the sides of my nose. My face hurts like crazy right now. She tried to sell this skincare line to me during the whole facial. Stay away. read more

As a midwife, it is difficult for me to schedule regular massages, and thus I cancelled my membership. Because it's difficult to schedule regular massages, I wasn't able to use my last 1.5 massages in the allotted time frame (yes, I know it was in the extensive membership contract), and I lost them. It seems unethical to cancel something that someone has already paid for, especially considering they have a record of it (yes, I know I signed the dumb contract). In addition to this, their "hour" massages are really 40 minutes and their "hour and a half" massages are really 70 minutes. Last I checked, dressing or undressing isn't a massage. I know that as a provider *I* have to schedule my calendar accordingly. Also, this particular location is difficult to schedule at last minute. See note above. The therapists are generally pretty good, which is why I give them two stars. If the customer service people had any inclination toward providing actual customer service (instead of just reiterating that I signed a membership contract), I wouldn't feel compelled to write a Yelp review. Save your money. Pay as you go with massages and do not be suckered into their membership scheme. read more

I have had massages from a multitude of salons before but Cynthia gave me the all time best massage I have ever had. I had been to a different Massage Envy location before and had been satisfied but not impressed. This was a very different experience. Cynthia listened to what I wanted and needed to be comfortable as I have just had a baby and did just that. I left feeling better than I had in months. She is worth every penny. My wife and I have an awesome therapist that we see at Airmid massage. However, we received a gift certificate for massage envy. So we booked a 1 hour couples massage. We arrived 15 minutes early as instructed for paper work. We were taken back 7 minutes late and our massages started 10 minutes after the hour and ended 50 minutes later. So that's 20 minutes of paid for time that we did not receive. I've always received the full hour on the table anywhere I've gone. The actual massages were just okay. We could tell these were newer therapists to the field. That said our future business wasn't won today. read more

I usually go 1-2 times a month and always found the staff super friendly (offering water or tea) and the therapists really listen and pay attention to you. This is going to get long. I have visited this location twice and will not be returning. It is hard to review massage companies because so much relies on the masseuse. The one star here is for the greeting received when I arrived. The staff at the desk is friendly and always offers water upon arrival. On to the negatives... -After I filled out paperwork (even though I had been here before), the super sweet receptionist sat next to me in the waiting area and went through a 5 minute health history with me and inquired further about what I wanted to accomplish. Thanks for asking, but I would like to have this convo with my massage therapist (which I did have, so that was 2 repetitive convos and paperwork describing my needs.) - In some jobs it is okay to come to work with the sniffles. This is not one of them!!! The masseuse was sucking up snot the whole 90 minutes. Yuck and thanks for the coughs right in my ear -My masseuse, while very kind, was pretty awful. First, she was so light, despite it being a deep tissue massage that I paid extra for! I did continue to ask her to go deeper, but she needed a few reminders and I kinda gave up because I felt so rude. Second, she was a larger woman and the table was just at the higher so her stomach was resting on my hand/arm when she was standing at the side. Third, she may have been texting, tired, or I have no clue what! But she kept stopping - you know, like when your husband is rubbing your shoulder but also watching football? He freezes and then continues? Yup. Fourth - was my masseuse sitting on the floor while giving me my massage?! The table was lowered as low as possible, not far from the floor. Why? From the sounds, I'm pretty sure she was all the way on the floor. If 90 minutes is too long, stick to 60 minutes. - I knew going in that massage envy is a membership based company. But, no means no! While checking out, the manager kept badgering me about the different plans. I said no to the first, so she goes on to the next. And next. And whatever else she wanted me to buy in to. Please, no. When my privacy was breached and I said I wouldn't be retuning, the franchise owner laughed at me and told me I only had to pay 3 more months for something I wasn't going to use!!!!
