Just do t waste your precious vacation time. I came here when I was on vacation from a different state across the country looking for relaxation. I regret wasting my time and membership here. The front staff, kind and friendly, no problems with front desk. The location has some issues such as they don't allow same day cancellation. The issue came when I booked an appointment for both myself and my spouse, however one of the appointments the therapist was not available so they canceled one appointment and kept the other one. They told us they had a one day cancellation policy and we had to take another therapist if we wanted to be able to receive two massage at the same time, otherwise we would have to pay the cancellation fee for the appointment. Next issue, the location is under construction, the AC was not working. The therapist had fans running in both appointment rooms not to mention floor boards were exposed in the waiting room and hallways that were unfinished. The therapist I had Elena had a lot to be desired. She cut the 50 minutes short. It was not the 50 minutes I used my credit for and the pressure was not hard enough even though I had asked for harder. Not to mention this was the first time a ME therapist didn't wait for me at the end and offer a cup of water. Her exact reply"have a good night" without offering a bathroom or water. Would not recommend this location next time I'm in town which is twice a year from California. In CA the location has better therapists and better location standards. read more

I scheduled a 1.5-hour massage at Massage Envy - Hunters Creek to celebrate my birthday using a gift card I had received. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. When I initially made the appointment, I specifically requested cupping as part of my service. Prior to the appointment, the location called me twice to change my appointment time due to therapist availability, which I accommodated. On the day of my appointment, I arrived 40 minutes early. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM, but I was not picked up by the therapist until 1:05 PM. Once we got to the room, I confirmed the services I had requested, and that is when the therapist informed me that she does not perform cupping. I was surprised because this was one of the main reasons I booked the appointment. I asked why I was not notified ahead of time so I could reschedule with someone who provides cupping, but she said she did not know. She then asked what pressure I preferred, and I requested firm pressure. However, she left the room and didn't return until 1:15 PM, meaning my session started even later than my already delayed pickup time. The massage itself was not firm at all--it felt like she was barely touching me. To make matters worse, although my appointment was supposed to be 60 minutes, the massage ended at 1:56 PM, which was far shorter than the service I scheduled. read more

While the woman at the front was professional, my provider was not. I wear athletic wear to my first appointment with new providers as I am uncomfortable undressing for someone I don't know and since I just needed a sports massage, I didn't think it was a big deal. This seemed to make my provider uncomfortable and she left the room and brought in someone else to talk to me about why I did not feel comfortable removing my clothing (note, I did not care whether or not the clothing affected the massage because she could reach my legs and neck just fine- the clothing wasn't covering those areas). This woman and a provider proceeded to go back and forth in Spanish before asking me exactly what I needed done which was my neck and the front of my legs. The woman just apologizes and they both leave the room without explaining to me what's going on and at this point, I'm thinking they're going to refuse me service. The provider comes back in and told me to face down with a bit of an attitude. She only worked on the backs of my legs and my arms which wasn't what was communicated. The pressure was off as well. I felt like she hardly worked on my left side but went deep on the right. The massage on my arms lasted all of 3/60 minutes for both sides. I felt like this was awfully weird and an embarrassing experience, but an overall waste of money. read more

5 stars for polite staff, cleanliness and friendliness. The place is clean and the staff at the desk are very polite. I was escorted to the waiting area after checking in and completing some forms. I was collected from the waiting area by my therapist promptly at 6, I booked a 90 minute massage so that should have me in the massage room from 6 to 7:30pm or so I thought. My massage started promptly at around 6:10pm and my therapist was very polite but a little strange. He kept doing weird breathing exercises as he massaged me, it was all I could focus on and made me think he himself was nervous to give me a massage. He did seem very knowledgeable of the bones as he gave me some very precise explanations of areas of concern and discomfort I had. I was never asked about pressure and if it was comfortable for me, I should have definitely spoken up but I was consumed by his breathing so it felt more like my kid was giving me a massage at times, it did get better towards the end and he was able to apply more pressure towards the end of the massage as I was told I only had 5 more minutes. At 7:15 he announced, this concludes your massage, once you get dressed you may leave. I thought that was a bit cold but cool, I looked at the clock after he left the room and it was 7:15 so that's 15 minutes before the end time I paid for. I got dressed and went to the front to submit payment where they had a little trouble with the computers and I ended up waiting about 10 minutes before they could process payment. All in all I was out the door by 7:29pm a minute before my massage should have concluded. No, I didn't complain or inquire because at that point I was out of the massage room and uncomfortable by the experience. I will not be back. Kudos to them for being super cautious and taking temperatures before you are allowed in the waiting area and wearing masks at all times read more

Attempted today to redeem, but first excuse was I couldn't because of the change in management.. Spoke to the current manager, Tracy, and she was no help. Told me I technically didn't pay for those services and just the membership in which I canceled (due to not being able to get an appointment). She had no desire to help since I was no longer a member. Hundreds of dollars given to them and they give ZERO care. Very shady business. Buyer beware! I signed up the membership at $55 a month. They increase it to $70 a month without notifying me. When I called , they said the email they sent me about the increase probably is in my junk mail, which is not true. I want to cancel the membership and they won't let you cancel over the phone. I have been to several massage envy locations in the central Florida and Tampa. The service at this location wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The area itself is very nice and kept up well. There is parking on the side of the building and I didn't have a problem finding a place to park. The front office area was similar to most Massage Envy locations (lots of products that they are trying to sell). The relaxation area was fine, nothing exceptional to note. I made my appointment the day before and was booked with a male therapist (which I prefer). When I arrive for my massage, a totally different person got me from the relaxation room. The receptionist didn't see an issue with this when it was mentioned on my way out. I asked for one type of massage and she did something totally different. I mentioned to her several times during the service that I asked for a deep tissue, but she did something different anyway. At the end of the massage, she explained that she thought that what she did would be better for me. Unfortunately, that's not what I asked for and I don't pay for opinions at Massage Envy. I took it all in stride, but it was unprofessional to not inform me that I would have a different therapist, then worst that the person did their own thing. This was my first and last experience with this location....and considering some of what I've seen related to the lawsuits this company in several states, I'm probably done with them all together. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because of Jameel. He's the only massage therapist I go to. I've been seeing him for over 3 years now. He's the reason I became a member at Massage Envy. I've always had very tight shoulders and lower back pain. I usually don't get massages for relaxation, it's more for pain management. In the past, when I had massages elsewhere, I never saw any change and usually left feeling the same. Ever since I started coming to Jameel, my shoulder pain and lower back issues have become tremendously better. I've felt such a difference and I don't have the same kind of pain anymore. Jameel doesn't do a "typical" massage, which is what I really like. He listens to all my concerns each time I see him. He works to realign my hips for my lower back pain and then helps my tight shoulders by using light pressure on specific knots to really target all my problem areas. Jameel is a great person to see if you're having any sort of pain. He's very knowledgable and professional. He genuinely cares and wants to help. I've never felt like "just another customer" when I see him. He takes the time to figure out my issues and always helps me to fix them. We were able to phone in our reservations for a couples massage the day before and request two female masseuse that fit our availability. The location is very easy to find, and there is ample parking available. I really liked their facilities - clean, professional, soothing, relaxing, but not over-the-top spa-zen-like. I signed up for the membership a few months ago and today was my third facial and it was great. I had Chyenna for the first time today and she's by far my favorite right now. Both her and Olga were kind and friendly and explained everything thoroughly. I just had a regular facial to deep clean my skin. The only reason why I'm rating a 4 is because the previous visit I was not informed that the microdermabrasion facial was only 30-35 minutes. I only found out today when I discussed it with Chyenna. The previous esthetician did not explain anything so I thought I wasn't getting the full 60 minutes per membership. I thought she was trying to leave early since I was her last client of the evening. It would've nice to have been informed but I should've asked questions too. Communication is key to everything especially to clients who have never received certain services. The front desk is always so friendly. I truly apologize I don't know her name but she's always on the left side of the counter and there was a gentleman last time too who was super helpful and friendly. ONE star for my masseuse and 3 for my husbands - therefore 2star average. I wish I remembered the name of the girl that tickled my back for 80min but I keep trying to forget that experience. I'm pretty sure she wanted to save her hands for the following client or she's not trained enough to save her hands. She asked what strength I needed - I told her firm except my thighs are sensitive so medium. She asked why I came in I told her my lower left side is very tight and causing a slight pain along my leg. I told her also I was very tired which is where I think I made a mistake. With all this information she started me on my back ticking my neck and after 10min I fell asleep for about 10 min. Once I jolted awake I realized she was still only rubbing/tickling me and not massaging so I asked for more pressure. She added pressure for about 5min before I had to turn around. The tickling began again in which I asked for more pressure that lasted again for about 5min. Since I was turned around I think she assumed I was sleeping. I had to keep asking for more pressure on which this point I was tensing more with the frustration of being taken advantage of I was ready to just get off the massage bed and walk off but I kept hoping it would get better, and also was waiting for my husband. She never even worked my lower back where I was feeling the tension or area around it. Also I had aroma therapy and so did my husband- he asked if she at least explain that therapy and to breath in - which I didn't. I was too focused on her extremely heavy breathing and the roller stool she kept rolling around every time she would move from one side of my body to the next. It also seemed like she kept using the stool to lean on instead of dragging the oil:lotion around with her. Why couldn't she just keep it in her pocket it was a very small bottle. When it was over I waited for husband and could feel my blood boil at how much of a horrible experience that was. I'm non-confrontational and as soon as my husband was done I was able to leave the office and let him deal with payments, he tipped $20 since he's a good tippet and had no idea about my experience. We don't want anything back from this place i just wish I knew the name of this masseuse so I can keep anyone who needs a good healing massage from getting screwed over. I had never been to Massage Envy before but I've had plenty of massages in the past and the one I got last night was quite possibly the most pathetic I've had. I asked for deep muscle and to focus on my lower legs and lower back but it seems like I got the generic massage that the soccer moms get. I do a lot of walking and running and traveling so I have stiffness in my legs and back. This massage did nothing to help those areas so now I'm going to have to get a second massage to take care of what I didn't get at Massage Envy. What a wonderful place. The front lobby and staff are warm and friendly. They just remodeled and it's gorgeous. I went early and was able to decompress in the quiet room with dark lighting and meditative scenes on the screen. My therapist greeted me and customized my 90 minutes and we started with a brand new service using a Tension device for your muscles. It was amazing. Then my esthetician greeted me and we went over all my skin care challenges and she recommended a series of services. Wow. Who knew massage envy had all these kinds of options?
