Blue crab salad at the spa. $41.08 after tax and tip.
    Daniel B.

While staying at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes recently for a conference, my wife decided to treat herself to a massage at the spa. The massage cost $298.90 after tax and tip. She said the spa was busier than expected. As a result, the service felt less personable and more like a conveyor belt, where the masseuses churned through customers. She also said the facilities were dated and in need of an update. Finally, she enjoyed a blue crab salad at the spa. It cost $41.08 after tax and tip. She commented that it was fresh, light, and tasty. The Ritz spa has been on my Orlando bucket list for years. I've had so many friends tell me that it's the best spa experience they've ever had and all their awards & accolades are proof that it lives up to the hype. I knew the day I finally decided to go would be a splurge, and I finally made it happen. I saw the summer specials they were running this month and knew this was a deal I needed to take advantage of. I was able to book an appointment only a few days out for their summer custom facial (50 mins) and their summer stress relief massage (50 mins). Each of these services were priced under $200 which iykyk these prices are unheard of at the Ritz. The spa has 3 levels with the private pool, Vitale cafe, and fitness center on level 1. Level 2 is where you find the men's & women's locker rooms, relaxation areas, & all the amenities. And level 3 is where are the treatment rooms are. Upon entering I was given a locker with a cozy robe and sandals. The facilities were immaculate with multiple changing rooms, vanity areas, bathrooms, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, balcony overlooking the pool, showers, complimentary snacks and Nespresso coffee, and relaxation areas. I was instructed to head upstairs about 5 minutes before my scheduled treatments to wait to meet my therapist. My massage was first which was very relaxing & soothing with medium to firm pressure. I definitely felt de-stressed afterwards. Then, next up was my facial which was my favorite part. I've only ever had a handful of facials in my life, but wow, this one was superior. My skin looked/felt/smelled amazing afterwards. It also included the most incredible neck, shoulder, and scalp massage. Definitely booking a facial the next time I visit! I was offered complimentary champagne after each of my services which was so nice. I then headed down to the private spa pool (18+ only/no children) to enjoy lunch from the Vitale Cafe. They offer poolside service as well as seated restaurant service. The spa pool was so peaceful & quiet. I'd suggest making sure you have at least 5-6 hours to fully enjoy the full spa experience & all the amenities without feeling rushed. I was there for 6 and honestly, I could have stayed longer. Overall, it was a perfect day all to myself and I already can't wait to go back!

This BY FAR my favorite spa in town. I have been here numerous times and have never had a bad masseuse. I love that you get to relax at the spa pool following pool services. You also get access to spa amenties such as the sauna and gym. It smells HEAVENLY in here. Staff is so friendly and always address you properly. Robes are so soft. I can't sing enough praises about how much I love this spa!

The Pedicure is absolutely fantastic! Elisa is the BEST!

The spa here is absolutely fantastic! You get to use the facilities all day, they have a sauna, steam room, and hot tub in the women's locker room. A private pool (18 years and older) is heated to about 83 degrees. They provide complimentary sun screen (SPF 50 + 30 + 15) and aloe. They have staff to set up your chairs, and servers to take your cocktail and food order. The food is AMAZING! I had the tuna bowl and skinny margarita. DELICIOUS !! The Pedicure is such wonderful experience, I was incredibly relaxed the entire time! Elisa is the BEST! She provides FIVE star service. She's extremely knowledgeable about nail health and does a wonderful job. She offered me something to drink, and my leg/ foot massage was to die for! Also the chair you sit in provides the most wonderful neck and back massage. Yes, the pedicure is pricy but WORTH every penny. If you are considering coming to this spa, this is your sign to do it! Also, I HIGHLY recommend Elisa she will take wonderful care of you!

Overall a great spa! I arrived early to take advantage of all of the amenities. After grabbing a coffee I headed out to the pool and secured my spot. The pool attendant Morgan was extremely helpful, kind, and hardworking. Juan came to take my order when Vitale opened. I recommend the Green Matcha-Ine smoothie. It was delicious! Juan was very attentive all day and frequently came by to ask if I needed anything. Inside the women's section of the second floor is an indoor hot spa, sauna, eucalyptus steam room, as well as showers, restrooms, and changing rooms. I went in and out of the sauna, steam room, and hot spa a few times. Before my massage I figured it would be best to take a shower. I was pleased to find shower aromatherapy steam cubes as well as body scrub, but my shower was halted when I turned on the water and realized the shower wasn't draining. Yuck! Not something I expected at the Ritz. I was totally grossed out and turned off. I notified a woman at the front desk of the issue and just decided to wait around until my massage. Things that this spa is missing: a Himalayan salt room, loungers inside the spa, away from the hot tub in a quiet area.

My husband and I booked a "couple's journey" for our anniversary. It included a couples massage with hot stone add on, a couples bath, and strawberries and champagne and a $50 credit to the pool cafe. With all that you get access to their spa/pool for the day. Let me tell you that we had the absolute best day. We enjoyed our self so much and relaxation was definitely achieved. Their pool is salt water and not too cold and every one seemed to follow the time limits on the jacuzzi tub. I absolutely loved it!

Love, love, love! This spa is soooo luxurious! The spa has a steam room, sauna and private whirlpool in the facility. I love that the spa has its own private pool for spa guests in the outdoor area. The private pool area is soooo peaceful and serene. The spa amenities are a bonus! Let's talk about the real deal holy field... the spa services!!! I got a facial by Zobe and the money was well worth it... my face looked ammmazinngg when she was done. This is the second time I have gone to her and her talent and skill is amazing!I also got a deep muscle massage, which was relaxing but nothing to write home about. The customer service from the locker room attendants to the masseuse was five stars! The spa services are a bit overpriced but with all that is included in the spa, I would definitely come back and next time stay the night in the hotel!

    Cute duck at the pool

Got a full body massage and scalp treatment for Mother's Day absolutely amazing! The amenities were incredible too, sauna, showers with body wash, shampoo conditioners, hair dryers combs. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. The cafe by the pool was so delicious! My massage also included extra time if you fell asleep and the whole thing was just so relaxing and one of the best gifts I've ever received. The entire atmosphere was beautiful.

Massages in masks are a thing and I am here for it.

How can you give anything less than 5 stars to a gift such as a spa day at The Ritz? The answer is probably, you can't. I was given the treat of a Relaxation Massage. Any service you book gives you access to the full spa. Which makes this experience a total package. You can enjoy multiple relaxation rooms, the spa pool, have free use of showers, and can use the lockers all day (this came in handy!). In addition to spa services and overall decadence they also give little treats and water bottles (all safely individually packaged). Due to COVID the sauna and steam rooms are currently closed. My masseuse was named Sherry. I opted for the eucalyptus and peppermint oil. It was "invigorating" as she would describe and "bdjkabdeiskcbs ahhh handshake" as I would describe when I lost use of words because I was feeling just so relaxed. I appreciated that she took time to understand my comfort level with pressure and that she didn't try to talk to me. Instead, allowing me to well, relax. It was definitely a more gentle massage than I am used to. I really loved the attention on lymphatic areas. The front of my neck and hips especially. I asked her to spend extra attention on my wrists and hands because you know #PhoneEatsFirst and #LiveLoveYelp life leaves me with all the carpal tunnel. My favorite part of this spa experience was the robe... it was plush and wonderful without being heavy and sweaty considering it's summer in Florida. Something to note is that the layout of the spa is a little confusing, there are a lot of doors and many stairs. I am sure there is alternate access for folks that can't use stairs but you would definitely have to ask.

The very best spa EVER!!! Imagine a spa that's fully staffed and able to offer you more than one service on short notice. That's what you get here. Absolutely first class and exceptionally qualified staff. Large menu of choices. We had the massage, mani and pedi, and facial. Everyone was professional and helpful. Love it and will be back.

The facial itself was well below the standard I've come to expect, but the most concerning part was the esthetician's professionalism. Twice during my appointment, while I was lying there with a mask on my face, she pulled out her phone and played TikTok videos out loud. Instead of using that time to provide the kind of relaxing experience I've received from other esthetician, such as a neck, shoulder, or hand massage, I was left listening to social media videos. I believe they have restrictions of having their cell phones in the room. There were other issues as well. The facial steamer was positioned so close to my face that it became uncomfortably hot, and I had to ask her to move it. That's something I don't feel a client should have to point out during a professional facial. When I spoke with the front desk afterward, I was told she wasn't from that location and had come from another Hand & Stone to help out. While I appreciated the explanation, it didn't change my experience. I also explained that I didn't think I should lose one of my membership credits for a service that fell so far below expectations. I later emailed corporate to share my concerns and never received a response. After being a loyal member for years, I expected much better customer service and follow-up. Everyone can have an off day, but using your phone to watch TikTok during a client's facial and then failing to respond to a formal complaint isn't the level of professionalism I expect from a company that promotes relaxation and self-care.

The reviews…read moreare great so I felt like this would be a good choice and so far after two appointments, I really like this clinic and Dr Mailer. Before coming to Sand Lake Dermatology I had a biopsy at another clinic and was scheduled to have a carcinoma removed. I was unable to have this done at the other clinic so I booked the first appt available with Sand Lake Dermatology which was set for the end of July. Once I was able to get my records sent to the clinics, a staff member called me right away and moved my appointment to have a carcinoma removed from my face to last week. Because of the interactions I had over the phone and online with this clinic, I felt comfortable having this clinic remove the carcinoma even though I had not even seen the clinic nor doctor. While I was mildly aware of what the procedure entailed, the staff that prepared me answering questions and numbing me(Marisol and Aaron) were great and made me feel comfortable. Dr Mailer was just as nice and made me feel comfortable. I was of course aware of the dr performing the procedure, I couldn't see it and didn't feel it. The procedure is called Moh's procedure where they typically cut away the determined margin around the affected area, bandage you up and let the patient wait in the lobby while the removed specimen is being reviewed in the onsite lab. If the lab determines that not enough was removed to show clear margins, the patient is brought back in and the dr removes more repeating the process until margins are clear. In my case, the dr removed all that needed to be removed leaving clear margins so after the lab results returned after a couple of hours, I was brought back into the procedure room and the dr proceeded to stitch up my wound applying dissolving stitched under the skin and removable stitches outside. My appointment for follow up and outer stitches removal was set for one week later( this past Tuesday). I was prescribed a heavy antibiotic and advised to keep Vaseline on the stitched up area and keep it covered with a bandage that is changed daily. Once I was stitched up, I mentioned a growth I have noticed on my eyelid and the dr suggested that on my follow up appointment she would take a biopsy. So this past Tuesday I had stitches removed, the area where I had stitches seems to be healing well and it doesn't appear that there will be a heavy scar. I am happy to see this as the area that was removed was quite large and the area stitched was quite long. The nurse, Natalie numbed my face, the stitches were removed and I didn't feel anything. They also numbed my eyelid so the biopsy could be taken. This is a sensitive area so this was a bit more intense but it went quickly and the biopsy was done. I will likely have results next week. What could have been a high anxiety first procedures (I've never had any surgery or stitches) turned out to be a pretty smooth experience. I recommend consideration of Sand Lake Dermatology as the staff and Dr Mailer were great, the waiting room is comfortable and even the staff that manages scheduling, check in, check out, nurses, physicians assistants all made me feel important, individual and taken care of. I wish all medical experiences could be similar to what I experienced.
