After checking in, you can relax in the lounge area while drinking a complimentary coffee or tea. Your masseuse will come get you, take you to the room, and discuss any trouble areas or areas of concern. Undress to where you feel comfortable, lie down in the bed, sit back and relax! After the massage, tip by leaving cash in an envelope in the room or with a card up front. I always tip 20% because I like a very firm and deep pressure, which is more strenuous on the masseuse. They did a remodel not too long ago and everything is updated and nice. read more

Each time I've gone to this location it's been a problem with either masseuse being late or cancelling at last minute ( happened 2x) or not doing the entire 60 min (well 50 min massage). To me this place is a rip off. Why pay for a 60 min massage and they take 10 mins away for getting dressed. If the client is late we get penalized, but they offer no compensation when tardiness/cancellation less 24hrs is on their end. My home base is on Preston wood, but I live closer to Irving location as to why I go for convenience. This location is why I am canceling my membership. The staff at the desk are impolite and have poor hospitality/people skills. After my first 2 bad experiences I requested to speak to a manger and I never received a call back. However, I do like Las Vegas location on (Rainbow rd) and Prestonwood Dallas location. For my remaining visits I'll go where I am treated w/dignity and my money is appreciated until my membership expires. I see exactly why this place has 2 stars. read more

A horrible individual who called her self Holly said if I had read I would have seen the difference ; called me rude and I would no longer be welcomed back. Beware of extra charges and check then double check your accounts if you're a member here. I was charged on my FSA 3 times this month for services that were not rendered. I am not sure what is going on at this location with the front desk but they do not communicate with one another when it comes to dealing with accounts. I've been a member here for a long time and unfortunately I'm canceling my membership due to their inability to fix what is going on. I was so incredibly disappointed with this location and this massage. 1) the woman had long nails and kept pinching my skin. 2) I said I wanted a full body massage that included glutes and she didn't touch anywhere above my knees (no thighs, no glutes). 3) I said I have herbiated discs in my neck so do not do anything around my neck, and when she had me turn over she did that horrible massage where they stick their hands under your back and neck and kind of move their hands around underneath you. Not a relaxing or nice massage strategy ever, plus my hair kept getting caught. This ended up causing inflammation and I have to get a steroid shot in my neck now. 4) she never would fully extend to all areas of a spot she was massaging. For instance, she would massage my hands but completely ignore my fingertips and wrists. Or she would massage my leg and didn't do the thigh. Or she would massage my feet and not do the toes. It just left something to be desired... Such a terrible massage. They asked how it was and I really felt bad about saying anything bad about the lady. I usually tip 20% but gave her 15%. I've had a Massage Envy membership for many years now, and love going in for my massages. I usually let them rack up and do 90 minute massages. As far as my massages there, I have been very fortunate to always have great massage therapists who know what they're doing. This location tends to book up very quickly though, so you almost have to book 2+ weeks in advance especially if you want a weekend 90 min. I've never had a facial however I plan to, after their wellness event they had a couple weekends ago. It was a great little event where I got my eyebrows waxed for free, a chair massage and the little vibrating massage gun deal. I've been using this location a while and had only one instance where the customer service was piss poor. I was so angry I had to stay away for a couple of months just so I didn't blow up at the wrong person. Otherwise, everyone is usually really nice and my time there is usually very enjoyable. read more

i am rating this firm a " one star " because i can't rate it lower than this. i called and wanted to cancel my membership, and this was before my first actual session. i was told i could not schedule my appt but would still be charged anyway. i have read the reviews and they confirmed that this was not a good choice to sign up with this firm. i should have read the reviews before signing up, but i gave them the benefit of the doubt. guess i was right, that i should have never signed up in the first place. i have gone to other health centers like this, and never have been treated like this before. i hope when the next person reads my post that they take my advice and not become a member. Well, my experience was unfortunate at this particular location. Had an 11:30 am. appointment, was sitting in the lobby for 15 minutes past my appointment time. Got into the room, waiting another 10 to 15 minutes before someone came in to start my massage. Mind you, I paid for a 90-minute session (medium) with the foot massage added. The only thing that was massaged was my right shoulder. The therapist spent a good 70 minutes on that one right shoulder and about 10 minutes on the left shoulder. Then, he wrapped my feet with hot towels and placed foot scrub on them, rub the scrub all over my foot, then wiped it off, and that was it he was finished. That was the whole 90 minutes. I paid 155.00, including a tip. I called to speak to the manager but never received a call back. I'm not gonna say this place is awful. But I personally won't be going back there anymore. very disappointed. read more

I do not typically leave reviews but I've literally had an awful experience business wise. When I signed up, I was told I didn't have to pay anything for my first massage. After receiving my first massage, I was asked for a payment. I explained the promotion and the employee checking me out said that's inaccurate and I had to use one of the vouchers they gave me for next year. Not to mention, Greta ended my Massage 10 minutes early. I had a massage scheduled after with her. Massage Envy cancelled twice, but when I got sick an hour before my appointment and notified them I need to cancel, they offered no understanding nor grace (although that's what I gave them two times in a row) and still charged me a cancellation fee. They also insisted my appointment time was an hour before it actually was, although I have multiple text messages in writing stating otherwise. I've had a membership less than two months. The bare minimum has been done to remedy my concerns. I've asked to just cancel the membership but they are adamant about me honoring this contract for 12 months and ensuring this poor experience. I started two accounts at this location over 5 years ago. Absolutely Worth the value pre-COVID. Now Since COVID, none of the stores from Irving to Fort Worth have had availability. All appointments are literally 6 weeks out or more, if available at all. Cancelling has to be done at your main store, can't use my now different local store. I am throwing away 13 hours of services because there is literally no availability to use them. When I called the young lady couldn't have given less of a shit and sounded like she was on heroin. I think I booked an appointment with Rachel. I signed up for 60 minute MEDIUM message. The entire massage was less than light pressure. I asked multiple times for her to go harder. She seemed frustrated with me after I asked for the 4th time. She basically just rubbed lotion all over my entire body with barely any pressure. Instead of using her elbow she used her forearm for "pressure." Not what I paid for. She also skipped half my body and only massaged my back for about 4 minutes tops. She didn't move my hair out of the way until I asked her too so lotion was getting in my hair and kept getting pulled. The prices are not worth it. Book at a different place!! read more

This morning I had a massage at Massage Envy. A friend gifted me with a gift card and I finally got around to using it. Justin was the only saving grace at this place. I walk in, he's pleasant and helpful. I complete the form and then I walk to the back and sit in the waiting area. I wait on the therapist to come get me, I don't remember her name but I could definitely describe her if needed but it's unnecessary at this time. The massage wasn't awful but it wasn't good either. On a scale 1-5, she gets a 1.5. After the massage was over, the therapist tells me to get dressed and leaves the room. She comes back 3 times, knocks, each time I tell her I'm not dressed, need a few more minutes. I'm laying there just want to gather my thoughts, relax and then get dressed. But she took the joy out of that, she disrupted this time and stressed me out even more than I was before walking into massage envy. The fourth time she knocks, I jump up, I put on my tank and shorts, I say go ahead and come in. She comes in and says, I'm not rushing you but I only have 5 minutes between clients to turn the room. While I'm still getting dressed she makes the table. I didn't see her change the linen, she just made the table with the same linen I had just laid on!!!!!!!!!!! There was no ambience here. I'm not sure how they have clients, there are much better options in DFW! So it's time to pay and I can't find my gift card, Justin patiently allows me to look for it . But the other girl who was not helping keeps interjecting and asking questions!!!!! So annoying! 1. You're not checking me out, Justin is. 2. No one is in here or waiting, so GIRL don't rush me. 3. Stop offering to sign me up for a membership, Justin asked, I said no and he left me alone, but GIRL you are pushing it. Shutup & leave me alone! Following session, the manager (Kristin) insisted I pay the higher rate of $143 since I had been to a Massage Envy in Austin 9 months earlier. She insisted I purchase an annual membership to get the rate I was offered when I booked. She blamed everything on "corporate" and refused to honor rate. The few therapists I stick with good and and know/remember my conditions and what I can and can't do when they are working on me. Hit or miss. S/O and I have come in for two couples massages. He got Generous and I got Jesse the first time. Generous seemed to have forgotten some areas to massage, and he said his massage wasn't deep enough despite requesting a very deep massage. He was unsatisfied. Jessie was wonderful for me. Perfect medium touch, and I felt very relaxed afterwards. Second time we went, I specifically requested someone for S/O who could work on his shoulder with a deep tissue. Everett was amazing for him, and he felt much better after his massage. Joy did mine, and it was absolutely terrible. She was weirdly rough, had odd strokes of massaging, and I felt terrible afterwards- sore and not good at all. We might come back one last time. Scam. This location charged my credit card this month while they are closed for COVID restrictions. I thought I canceled and this charge showed up. I have been trying to cancel for a year and a half. I had a baby and was on maternity leave and tried to cancel and sent in paperwork last year. Manager changed it in the system and still continued to charge me. Front desk never calls back and always giving me the go around. This month I called asking why I'm still being charged and it is a different story every time. I said I want to stop paying. They were closed in April and not exactly sure when they reopened. My credit card has been charged 8 months. So now that it's on hold. I disputed the charges and they refuse to give a refund. I went for my very first massage ever this past weekend. I originally requested Jessie and when I arrived I ended up with Tim. No biggie, Tim was very professional and provided a wonderful experience. I would've appreciated a notification before my appointment, though. The room is not as fancy as I was expecting. Then again, it was my first time. Due to my extreme back and nerve issues, I felt like my massage was more of a workout than relaxing experience. I can definitely say that once my time expired, I felt like a completely different person, though. You have to let the masseuse work their magic and trust them. I am very impressed with Tim's expertise with my specific situation. I felt relief from my nerve pain for the first time in a while. My neck was a mess as well and he immediately noticed and worked out all of the knots. I felt much better walking out of the room than I did walking in. I really enjoyed the staff post-massage. They were very kind and helpful and provided answers to my questions. The only thing I didn't enjoy was being sold on a membership after a massage. People want to enjoy their results and not be mentally occupied with membership costs. I do understand this is a business, though. Additionally, the terms for ending a membership include a required doctor's note stating you can't physically receive massages. That was very off-putting for me. I was offered a three day grace period to cancel my membership if I changed my mind, which I ended up doing. The issues I had with my experience were a reflection of the overall company, not the staff and not the masseuse. If you already enjoy massages and are looking for a place permanently, I would recommend Massage Envy and go see Tim. He knows his stuff. read more

Just had a great 90 minute facial by Tiffany. She was great. Very relaxing and skin looks better for sure and a long week of traveling.

I decided to sign up for a year membership because the deal is great ($49/month with 1 massage included and then $39/massage for additional massages). The woman I've seen twice is just OK, so I don't want to give her name. I think I might try someone else next time. I have a lot of knots in my neck and shoulders. She did OK but doesn't seem that skilled. I've had really good massages before, I guess. If I find someone awesome, I'll update my posting here. Updated Sept. 15, 2009: OK, I'm upping my rating to 5 stars (from 3), but with the caveat that you have to search for the right person. For me, that person is Katie. Oh. My. Word. I just got done with an hour massage and feel like a new woman. There is such a difference between a person who is going through the motions with good intentions and one who you truly feel wants you to feel better. Katie is absolutely wonderful, calming, therapeutic and talented. She has wonderful technique, and I do not always give out that compliment. This is an excellent Massage Envy location! The girls at the front counter are extremely friendly, especially the shorter blonde...can't recall her name but I always enjoy seeing her. The owner is empathetic and super sweet. A bit of a "yapper" but I would prefer that over the alternative! My therapist is Leslie, and I cannot recommend her enough! I've been having massages for years, and maybe that's the problem. I need to get them for therapy, so we purchased the year membership thinking it was a great deal. Now, we can't WAIT for our membership to expire. First, good luck finding a really talented therapist that actually has a great deal of training. AND, if you are lucky enough to eventually get a massage worth paying for, be prepared for them to cancel your appointments the day of--or not tell you and give you a different therapist when you arrive. We have had one issue after another with Massage Envy and unless you're a newbie (and even if you are), pay more to go somewhere else where they actually hold up to their end of the "membership bargain". I injured myself at work and still have issues with pain, so I booked an appointment and found the Massage Master! Melissa V. is a very caring person and it is very apparent how much she enjoys her job. She listens to me and takes her time with the massage to find the target areas causing the pain. I HIGHLY recommend a massage by Melissa! She apparently has a fan club because you will have to make an appointment about a week in advance since she books massages quickly. Here's the thing, my membership for a year was absolutely wonderful and the massage therapists at this location were great. However, the reason I am giving this specific location one star is due to how they handled my cancellation request for my membership. After a year, I had to relocate and decided to cut costs by canceling my membership. I filled out all the paperwork and everything was set, so I assumed that was all I needed. Low and behold a few months later, I noticed my credit card had been charged not once, but THREE times since I cancelled. I immediately called this location to complain and they found my cancellation form and apologized and reversed all charges. Again, I thought this was the last I had heard in regards to this issue. Another month passed by, I'm still being charged. Again, I called to remind them I cancelled and then to be on the safe side, I called my credit card company telling them I do not authorize these charges and explained the situation which ended up in me having to change my credit card to avoid further billing. Today I just received a text saying there was a billing issue with my account which absolutely blew my mind they're still trying to charge me after all this trouble I've been through with them! I called them immediately just now to remind them that I cancelled and I also informed them that I changed my credit card info because I knew they'd tried to charge me again (which they did). Whoever they had on the phone rudely told me, that if that's the case, eventually a collections agency (debt collectors) were going to contact me. I told this employee that, that is unecesarry because I cancelled over 5 months ago and i demanded they take me off this list so I'm not receiving texts from them saying they are trying to still charge me and so they aren't sending debt collectors my way. She had the manager on hand talk to me and assure me that they found my cancellation form and they will take me off the list. But quite frankly I'm still worried If this is going to go to the debt collectors like the employee in the phone threatened me with. I can't believe I've been going through this for months, and I have the proof that I cancelled but they're still going on with this. Long story short, do not get a membership with this location. Signed up for a monthly plan. I called to SPECIFICALLY ASK WHEN I could come in again for my NEXT visit (under my plan) as I did not want to pay an extra payment. The girl on the phone said NO PROBLEM, you can come in. Next day, GOT CHARGED. Called to ask why...."oh, the girl that answered the phone was new". I SPECIFICALLY ASKED so that I would not be charged. So they offered my a foot scrub or some other special service that I'm not interested in. So when asked to speak with the MANAGER, the manager ABRUPTLY went into bad manager mode and told me I SIGNED AGREEMENTS that went over that information, and that I was even sent a copy in my email. That's all fine and dandy, my bad, BUT WHEN I CALLED AND SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO BE SURE, I was told I could come in without being charged. The manager was UNPROFESSIONAL and this is BAD PRACTICE. Especially when the 1st girl on the line told me it was "a new person that took my initial call". BAD PRACTICE. On behalf of my THERAPIST, he was amazing and they told me he wouldn't get paid if they took the charge off. Well, of course I didn't want that to happen. Been to quite a few Massage Envy's across the country and although they're all about the same there's one factor that makes a significant difference, the masseuse. Having come off a long cross country flight followed by an early morning 18 holes I was looking forward to the massage and Mia was no disappointment. I would recommend her for anyone in need of a deep massage. Staff: I was a little concerned how long it would take to check-in as I was with a couple friends who've never been to a massage. However, the staff was polite and organized limiting the time at the counter and getting everyone into the relaxing waiting room within a few minutes. Property: Plenty of parking space and well located. Inside the massage rooms are good sized compared to some I've been at in large cities so you don't have the cramped feel.
