4.5 stars. I love this place and I am so happy I found it. There are a few massage therapists I worked my way through but in the end I have become a big fan of Natalie. I literally cannot recommend her enough. This lady is pure magic and has the sweetest soul. I always leave so relaxed and yet energized. Whatever my problem has been, Natalie has been able to help. Went in for a 90 min massage and added aromatherapy. First, it took a bit for someone to check me in. As my massage was in progress I started to question if the aromatherapy was being used, but since it was one I hadn't had before I just thought to myself, if it's not being used they just won't charge me. Half way through someone slid the masseuse a note that I had added the aromatherapy. It was used for the rest of the massage. When I was checking out the gal asked if I had aromatherapy and I hesitantly said yes and said for only half the massage, no one gave her the bottle. The gal kinda laughed and said oh that's ok. While I don't mind still paying for it, the brushing it off like it didn't pay for a full experience didn't sit well from me. Also, my room was close to the front and it's just not enjoyable when you can hear people on the phone and I'm not sure if some of the girls had friends visiting but there was a lot of chatter that continued. I knew they weren't additional guests because they were all eating Taco Bell together. It just gives a bad name to a "relaxing" place when you can hear people talking your entire relaxation time. Unfortunately I don't intend to visit this location again just because the lack of ensuring I had a good experience between what I paid for and the constant chatter. read more

BEST MASSAGE EVER!!!! This was such a great experience. From just walking in I knew I was in good hands. The front desk girls were so kind and inviting. I had Lisa as my masseuse and let me tell you, she is INCREDIBLE! I knew I was in good hands as soon as the quick consultation began. She listened to everything I said and proved it through the massage. I've been to some pretty fancy massage shops and have always left wanting more. On July 25th, 2025, I had the worst massage experience I've ever had. I was scheduled with Ashley, who seemed very inexperienced and did not focus on the areas I clearly mentioned needing work. Instead of applying effective massage techniques, she tapped and lightly pulled at my skin, which felt more irritating than therapeutic. I walked in with muscle tension and left feeling worse. When I raised the issue, the front desk only gave me 50% off... honestly, it should have been 100%. This level of service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Very disappointed. To make matters worse, the follow-up from management was appalling. I expected a call from the manager to resolve the situation professionally. Instead, I received a call from Lindsey, the so-called manager, July 29, 2025 at 8:00 in the morning.... not to apologize, but to argue, belittle me, and raise her voice like I was the problem for complaining about a service I paid for. Her tone was aggressive, nasty, and completely inappropriate for someone in any customer-facing role. The call escalated into a full-blown argument, and when I defended myself against her hostile behavior, she hung up on me. This location is a complete disgrace to the Massage Envy brand. Lindsey's conduct was unprofessional, toxic, and outright abusive. Between the subpar massage and the unhinged management response, it's clear this business does not value its customers, their well-being, or even basic respect. Avoid this location at all costs. Spend your money somewhere that actually cares about the people who walk through the door. read more

Massage Envy Lee's Summit, MO This Company will not deal with the inexperienced representatives at all. So, I found out why today. She is a family member. I believe she means well, she just needs to understand that It is OK to say that she does not have the answer and will get back with customers when she does. The case: I had to reschedule an appointment, yet this young lady was not sure if I would be refunded or not. I do not have money to donate to a massage company. So if I have to reschedule due to medical reason, I expect to either be refunded or to be credited for the month. All she could tell me was I could not return until 8 weeks (NOT what my doctor said), and that she was not sure if their medically trained staff would reimburse me. This lady also couldn't tell me if the medically trained staff would return my phone call. I made a very clear to her that if she thinks I'm going to allow Massage Envy to take my money for the month and either not refund me or credit me, she was highly mistaken. The good part is that one of the medically trained staff called me back less than an hour later, corrected the error, and I am now agreeing to stay with Massage Envy until my contract is over. My girlfriend purchased and scheduled massages for the both of us on 12/24/22, which we had. A gift to me for Christmas. My card was billed that day for a $10 tip, even though I handed the cashier $10 cash for the tip on the way out the door. The massage was 'meh. ' Even more alarming; I got a call from Massage Envy on 12/14/22 informing me that that must have a credit card backup for my appointment, in case I were to 'no-show' the massage on 12/24. Odd I thought, but no problem. Then unbeknownst to me they charged my card that same day for $200 (for 4 gift cards apparently) which I discovered on 12/26 on my monthly statement. Now instead of reimbursing me the $200 they would prefer that I contact Chase and report this as fraudulent. Wow! What a business plan. Tolerate theft and palm it off on the credit card company. I am very disappointed with my experience with this location. I was scheduled for a massage and facial tomorrow and confirmed a couple days ago. Today, I receive a text from them stating the facial specialist will not be available due to the weather -- very odd excuse considering the snow only came through last evening, no more snow is coming, & the roads will be pretty clear - Kansas City is very good at clearing the roads. Anywho, I asked if there is no other person available and they said the other specialist is booked. There was no apology for the inconvenience, no acknowledgement that I booked the appointment way in advance, no discount mentioned for the inconvenience, nor a proposed solution of when they would be available. As a customer, I don't even trust the location anymore. Make sure if you're the problem, present a solution. Also, if the expectation from customers is that they have 24 hours to cancel before being charged, make sure you respect that same 24 hours cancellation rule. read more

Overall Customer service with management is horrible the manager Lindsey is not helpful and very rude! You are pretty much given misleading information with signing up for a membership. The overall service with therapist is not great and the turn over is horrible! You can't find a good therapist because they quit by your next visit. I was told if we cancelled we could transfer the remaining massage to one another however that is not true! If you cancel you lose them! Katie is the best!!! I have trouble finding just the right massage therapist, I like a mix between firm and deep tissue pressure. Katie was perfect! She communicated clearly and asked me about pressure, and helped me learn about different techniques that can benefit me more. This business pressures you into a contract and the massages are not relaxing. The $60 facial I received was literally lotion rubbed on my face and steam blasted on it. After choosing to finishing my contract I did not the therapist I'd been using was booked everytime I was available and so my $60 credit "expired" so the company got free money. I am still new to this area and I've been meaning to go to a massage envy. I just so happen to chose the one in Lees Summit and loved it. They were very nice and understanding. I've been to a massage envy before but in Denver, CO. This was my first time getting a facial. I had the privilege to have Heather as the esthetician and she was great. She explained everything to me as she was doing it and she answered any and all the questions I had. Have been getting massages here for 4 months now, by Monica... AND IT IS HEAVENLY!!!!! She has great energy! She gives just the right pressure. She helps me out SO MUCH as I have multiple MAJOR illnesses. I have Epilepsy, Diabetes, Neuropathy, and have had 8 brain surgeries. She is awesome about being careful in my touchy spots and giving good pressure where I need it. The thing I love best are her communication skills! Asks me what I like and didn't like and is always open to try new things to help with my pain issues that spring up in between massages. Everyone else there is wonderful as well! If I could do a 4.5 star rating I would. Five stars to my amazing massage therapist who made a world of difference for me with a super tight and tense neck and shoulder. Three-to-four stars for the overall experience with front desk representatives. I went into this knowing I'd get the hard sell on buying a massage "membership." But it was still off-putting to get this sales pitch after spending 80 minutes having my upper body turned into a bow of jell-o. Any relaxation achieved during my session nearly evaporated upon checkout when I had to decline the sales pitch for a yearly membership. I enjoyed the experience and received top-notch customer service during my visit, but I don't love the pressure of the sales pitch. If I could just make a reservation online and get good rates like I did with this visit, I'd be a customer for life. So, FYI to anyone booking services here. The therapists are professional and competent. But just be prepared for the hard sell on a membership. read more

the massage is great don't get me wrong but I've had plenty from here and the only thing that upsets me everytime is no matter how early you show up somehow they always bring you back 5 minutes into your appointment time so now you're expecting only 55 minutes of massage somehow it ends before the hour is up so you only ever get about 40 minutes give or take it is kinda annoying to look at the clock and know you should have about 10 more minutes based off of when the appointment was scheduled to start but apparently it's already over. read more

I have been a member for 10 years. The service is fine. No real complaints about that. Business practices is another story. Have been trying to get out of my membership for over a year. They continue to raise the membership price to which I never agreed to be bill to my CC. Thus that in its self if a breach o my contract. I have so many unused service credits I will lose when I cancel. In addition have told I have to write some letter to the corporate offices to cancel. It should not be this difficult. I was in the hospital twice in one week for sciatic nerve pain. Someone recommended getting a massage and it was the best decision I have ever made because of Raheem at Massage Envy Lees Summit! He could see the pain in my face and I was hunched over and limping in the first few times. Within a few sessions he had me able to walk ok again! He asks questions to determine what I need each time and communicates throughout the massage to keep me comfortable. My goal was to be able to pick up my toddler again ASAP and he has made that happen for me. 100/10 stars if I could!!! read more

First time I made an appointment, I showed up early per their request. I filled out the paper work and was asked to wait in their very clean and relaxing lobby. I waited and waited......and waited. Then my message therapist comes to get me, 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment. She apologized, and blamed it on her earlier client. Saying her client took over 20 mins to get dressed. The massage was fine, no complaints, nothing special but it was fine. Afterwards however, I got some sales pitch from the ladies at the front desk and seemed almost aggressive in trying to get me to join the membership. A few months pass, I decide to give this place another shot. I had a serious back issue that needed work ASAP. I called to make an appointment for that evening if possible. It was! She said 6pm. I live roughly 30 mins away, and made the drive. Upon arriving, and telling them I was here for my appointment, she says "ohhh, I'm sorry, I accidentally made your appointment for tomorrow night at 6. My bad" I was upset, they tried to get someone to stay late to honor the appointment, but no one would stay and give me my massage. So, I had nothing else to do but leave, with nothing more than a half assed apology. The following night, I head up there for my appointment that she wrote me down for. I get in my car to fight rush hour traffic again, and figured after a couple miles, I should probably call these people to make sure they didn't screw up again. Thankfully I did call, because they cancelled my appointment. No phone call or communication with me, they just cancelled it. And again, all I got was, I'm sorry sir. I told them I will never be back to them again. I highly suggest you find another place to get a massage, this place has very little respect for you, or your time. read more

Robert was absolutely fantastic. Overall the location is convenient - the people were more than friendly - the environment was super clean and welcoming - and ROBERT was absolutely fantastic. You need to try the precession massage. This is the equivalent of a jig saw with a rubber mallet on the end....only no pain. It is so amazing. Robert worked on my lats (latissimus dorsi) which I have never had worked on before like this. By the end of the session I had so much more flexibility. He is amazing and I have a strong recommendation for him and her service. He is good at listening - continuously follows up - and overall is a fantastic provider. A+++++++ read more

I've been to a lot of different massage envy locations since having my membership and I really enjoyed this location! I had Tulei for a 30 minute total body stretch, which was my first time but I recommend adding them to your normal massages.. My muscles felt extra relaxed following the guided stretch and he seemed really knowledgeable! Amber did my massage and was great, probably the best I've had at massage envy. She was able to locate my trouble spots and used just the right pressure. Highly recommend this location and these therapists!! read more

The most rude front desk employees that I have ever encountered, especially one girl by the name of Sydney. They hire these girls that do not know the meaning of customer service. If you like to be spoken to in a condescending manner this is the location I suggest going to or contacting too. If not than a short drive are other locations that employee much nicer employees.
