So much about Massage Envy depends on your massage therapist. I have been going to Wendi for about six months now, and I like her. She listens to my needs and works on the stress that I carry in my body. She doesn't start a conversation but will chat with me if I decide I want to chat. In my mind a Massage Envy is a Massage Envy. They are all about the same. The design space is the same, the rooms are the same, the sheets and blankets are the same, and the music is the same. This ME is clean. They have spaces for people to wait. All-in-all I would say my experience has been great. Very clean and professional. I've been to quite a few places and wanted to check out this location. I probably won't come back. There wasn't anything special and I did not get the treatment I've come accustomed to when going to get a massage. I did notice on the way out they had a space to have hot tea and relax but we didn't get there 15 minutes early (we got there right on time) and were never shown that area. During the massage the room was cold, I asked about it but was told the table could get warmer. The oil was cold and the massage was meh. I have consistently experienced unprofessional behavior, including what I perceive as discriminatory treatment from certain employees, along with aggressive and persistent sales pressure regarding memberships and add-ons. I have been a member of Massage Envy for over 16 years and have spent thousands of dollars over this time. Today I showed up for my scheduled stretch and massage that I scheduled online at the Augusta, Ga location, but the app scheduled me for Lexington, SC!! The app has had this glitch in the past and I have caught it, but this time I did not. When the Augusta location made me aware that I was not scheduled with them I was informed to call Lexington and see what they could do. . Lexington refused to give me my credits back and so now I am out $120 for their error! If this is the way you treat loyal customers that have been with the company since virtually the beginning, then I am done and I will be canceling my membership! This is not how you do business! Main street. This business location is conveniently located in a small shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking and they can accommodate small and large vehicles. The ambience was very relaxing and stunning. My spouse and I decided to treat ourselves recently to a couples massage package. Both of our masseuse's were attentive to our reported issues that we desired more attention. We both felt like their price rates was expensive to other locations we've visited throughout South Carolina, but I'm sure that can be contributed to this is a franchisee business. The massage therapist was okay. The major problem was there was talking and laughing the whole time of my service. It was louder than the calm music that was playing. I never got relax. I told them about my service at the end. It was no big deal for them. I got a call within a week from someone telling me o can add on an enhancement to my next massage. I was like no mamn. I need a massage because it felt as if I didn't get one. They responded we will give you a call back concerning that. it's been a month and I still haven't heard anything from them. My wife set up a massage with a gift card. The massage price was $75. She was 10 minutes late and was charged $62.50. They say if you're late you are charged for half the massage rate. My math and their math don't add up. 10 minutes and she called in the car otw there a minute away. Totally bogus and not customer friendly. We will avoid the Lexington store completely from now on. Best massage I've ever had!!!! I booked a 90 minute massage with Victoria. I had pulled a muscle about a week ago. I added the muscle enhancement. I received a gift card for my birthday and dr used to use it. I called and scheduled an appointment for a one hour deep tissue massage. They asked me on the phone if I had ever had a massage there before and I told them no because I hadn't. When I arrive for my massage I was placed with a masseuse who did basic massage and not of the deep tissue that I requested. As I was leaving to pay they tried to double the price saying I had been there before when in fact I had been to another location that had a facial not a massage. The price went from $55-$95 without warning. Couple that was a week massage I was very disappointed and refused to pay the difference. read more

Booked an appointment for 2 minors and brought my other child along. They have a policy where my other child could not go into the massage room or stay in the lobby. They did not let me know this until I got there and not over the phone when I booked the appointment. This was even worse because it is a 35 minute drive for us to this location. read more

The older I get the more my body seems to hurt. Getting a massage really seems to help with those daily aches and pains. I had been reluctant to go to Massage Envy because it was a chain and the shopping center it is in seems run down. I am glad I gave it a shot. Everyone was very friendly. The decor and music were exactly what I would expect from a spa. My massage therapist Hannah was very professional and made sure to find out about any areas of pain / tightness before she began. The massage itself was exactly what I expected it to be. The hour flew by. After the massage they told me about their membership options but at no time did I feel under pressure to buy one. I was given a gift card to Massage Envy by my boyfriend for Valentines Day. I was so excited because I never had a professional massage before. Included with the card was a certificate for a FREE one hour facial, which also was a first time treat for me. I decided to have the facial first to ease my way in to the massage... you know... check the place out first. When I arrived I was immediately welcomed by the very sweet front desk staff. I was made very comfortable and they walked me through every step which relaxed me for my first visit. The facial was performed in an extremely professional manner. The treatment lasted a complete hour and I walked out feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I then returned for my massage a week later and had the same experience as the first visit. The therapist, whose name was Diva, was also extremely professional. She did an amazing job and I could not have asked for anything better. She knew it was my first time so she was gentle... yet thorough....not missing a single area. I walked out thinking that EVERYONE should experience a massage at least once in their life. I had only one complaint... because I used the free facial first, then returned for the massage... I was charged the full price of $95.. On the brochure they list an introductory price (first massage) of $55. So if I went for the massage first instead of the free facial I would have been charged the lesser price and I would have still had money towards my next treatment. The massage was ok, but I paid for a 90 minute massage and only received at most 40 minutes of a massage. When I got there the receptionist took me in another room for an 'interview/consultation' while I waited to get started. Then after being taken to the massage room I was given another 10 minutes to change. Massage lasted maybe 40 minutes, and then given another 10 minutes to change. I was then taken back to the 'interview' room for the masseuse to tell me where my trouble areas were? That took another 15 minutes. When I came back out to the lobby I questioned the time and they said the 'interview' time and time taken after the massage to convince me to purchase a membership was included in my massage time! I complained also because I was being sent out to the lobby when it hadn't even been an hour after all that 'talking' and I paid for 90 minutes! Today I had a massage at massage envy. I,m in no way an expert since this is my first spa visit, but I have to say that it was an excellent experience. Front desk service was swift and both friendly and courteous at the same time. My masseuse was professional and friendly in dealing with a first time client. My introductory massage was great. Sadly I had to leave in the middle of it with 30 minutes left cuz my daughter got hurt at school. The receptionist was kind & wished her well. When I called back that same afternoon, the receptionist took it upon herself to ask if I could get a second introductory charge of $55 since I had to leave on an emergency. That was kind of her to ask ,that alone made me feel appreciated as a new customer. Management said no. I could understand that. I then asked if It would be possible to add the 30 minutes I lost & paid for to my new appointment( at full price of course) & management said no to that as well. That was disappointing because I paid my introductory fee & didn't get the full experience. I thought that was sweet for the receptionist to do all she could.
