Didn't quite know where to start so I just went with massage envy which seemed like a natural choice. They had a membership special that seemed reasonable, so I booked it. It has been about 6 months or so into my membership and I'm here to write about my experience and I have to say, that I have thoroughly enjoyed it! My main masseuse is Michelle and she has gotten to know me very well. She knows what areas I need work on. She is very professional and has a very firm touch which I appreciate. She gets the job done on my tight shoulders and traps and can feel where the knots are and focuses on them. There have been a few times when I have come in for additional massages with other masseuses and they too have been amazing. There has been Cynthia, and then another woman with dark hair from Lake Elsinore who is amazing (sorry I forgot your name, she's so sweet), and Carmen who did a cupping massage on me that was sooooo awesome too! All of the masseuses I have had at this location have been very professional and excellent. I got a membership here in Feb and have been going for monthly massages. Today I got the best massage I've gotten since I started my membership. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, which, if I'm being honest, I haven't really experienced the last few times I've gone. To be fair, my neck and shoulders are extremely tight, so I think the typical response is for the therapist to very firmly massage the muscles. The problem with me is, when that happens, I tend to tense up even more. So basically it's like I'm fighting the massage. My therapist today was Carmen, and she was phenomenal. With her myofascial release technique, she actually got my muscles to relax, and I didn't feel like I was fighting against the massage. She is very intuitive with the amount of pressure needed to be effective in different areas. I know I have a ways to go, but with consistency and Carmen's magic hands I know I'm on the right track. I've been a customer since Oct2021 when my sister booked me a pre-wedding massage, I'm really easily convinced and so the ladies at the front desk convinced me to get a membership after our services. It seems as if tipping is mandatory at this location. They are obviously trained to ask you how much you are tipping instead of ARE YOU TIPPING? DO NOT COME HERE. This is my first and last experience with Massage Envy. I booked a 90-minute facial but unfortunately the staff did not allow me to actually get the facial. They told me that because I use retinol in my skin care routine (been using it for 10+ years with no contraindications to any other products) that they can't service me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I tried to see if I could get a massage instead, or any other service since I already took the day off work to come in. They were so unhelpful... just a flat out no can do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Told me I had to pay the $50 cancellation fee even though I was there for the appt. They have stupid policies. I've had 30+ facials in the last 10 years while on retinol and it has NEVER been a problem. OH and then to top it off, they told me I would need a Dr. note from my dermatologist in order to proceed with the facial. Like WTF... Go to a real esthetician if you want a facial. Real estheticians will modify your facial to your needs and eliminate any products or processes that can negatively impact your skin. Had an appointment for a 90 minute massage today with Amy in Marietta - Appointment start time was 2:30 PM. Finally got called from the waiting room at 2:45 Then I was asked what kind of massage I would like and I said firm and all over and then she gave me a 10 minute allowance for changing *which I was undressed and ready in two minutes and ready for the massage . So there goes 25 minutes of time. Amy was thorough and professional. I don't even have a problem with the 10 minute changing time. The massage concluded promptly at 4 PM I wish they could work on their time management skills in in order to get the clients in on time. This has happened more than once at Massage Envy. I'd be happy to drop the extra cash and tip well for an additional half hour since I'm here so early. I totally get it if they were booked and the rooms already in use. But I just walked the hall to use the restroom and all the rooms are empty with no therapist in sight. I tend to think that if I ran this place, these rooms would be full. I know there's no shortage of people like me who want to throw down the cash to fill this place up and keep the rooms turning. My future sister in law gifted her brother and I a couples massage a few days before our wedding. The staff were extremely friendly. Everything was clean and they had an air purifier running in the room the entire time. We arrived early since this was our first time at this location to fill out the health questionnaire and discuss areas of concern. Our massages started on time. Marleena took care of me. Had a recent massage experience here with Bathany. She was super sweet and worked hard. The office was very clean and all the employees were friendly. I am considering the membership I am hesitant as they lock you in for a year, the air purifier was on entire massage, and you have to wear a mark during your service. It is a additional $10 for "aromatherapy", which I paid but couldn't really smell due to having to wear a mask. The music also went off for awhile during the service. I mentioned these issues after the service but got no response. I like the facial products and purchased some Obagi facial cleaner. Overall would consider again. read more

I booked an appointment online with Bri. I have never had a facial and have never been to a massage envy. The appointment I booked was for a microderm infusion facial. I also added a high frequency treatment and a shoulder and decolletage treatment. I was instructed to arrive 10-15 minutes early for consultation since I'd never been there. I arrive 20 minutes early at 11:40am. I'm greeted and go through the whole consultation process and told yo wait in the lobby for bri. My appointment was scheduled for 12pm. Bri didnt come into the lobby until 12:05 I had been done with my consultation for at least ten minutes by then. When I get into the room bri asks me what my concerns are. Ok wait pause didnt I just do a consultation? I tell her i have a couple blackheads that I van feel I just cant see or get them out. And I wanted a relaxing facial. She then tells me how much I need a chemical peel. And describes it asks if I'm interested. I said no I just wanted what I booked. She then continues to try to talk me into the chemical peel. By this point its 12:15 whatever can we just start the facial. She switches my procedure to a chemical peel and tells me to get comfortable and shell be back in a minute. So I lay there and she starts. She talked through the entire thing. There was not a single moment of relaxation during this facial. She does everything and gets to the shoulder and decollote part. She rubbed some substance in her hands wiped my shoulder and chest and neck walked to her counter and told me shes going to step out so I can put my shirt back on. I come out and the girl from the front who gave me my original consultation pulse into this other lobby area and starts in on her speech about membership. I kindly decline and say I dony normally do this so I wanted to wait to see if i came back and maybe then i would do it. "Well we are having a promotion" no thank you I'm ok u dont need a membership . "But you really will be saving a lot of money" no thank you I do not want a membership. "You have to understand this is such a good deal" at this point I'm annoyed I hate being hounded i cant stand when i say no and people just keep pushing. It's annoying. I just wanted to get out of there! So finally I agree obviously there was no other option. Do she takes me to the front counter and theres this whole lineup bri left for me that she thought I needed. 8 bottles of things. No I'm ok this little after care package will do for now. "But if you spend 150 you get this little bag free and it's full of goodies" seriously these people are relentless. I'll buy 3 things and go. My card decides to have a fraud alert and decline but I did give them a $50 gift card. So I go to the atm. Still not working I go back tell them take all the face wash off I just need to pay for the procedure because my cards now locked. My service was supposed to be 120 and then 30 in add ons. Remember I've already given them my 50 dollar gift card. She tells me my total is 134 and some change. I'm so confused at this point I was ready to pull my hair out. Hand her the cash and leave. I then receive a survey email the next day. And I filled it out sent it in. A few hours later I receive an email from the assistant manager and she informs me she is going to refund my service to the card on file. Awesome thank you she fixed the problem I'm good I'll let it go. I wont post a review its fine. I paid 180 some odd dollars and was only refunded 100. At this point I'm just going to assume they pocketed the rest of the cash? I'm trying my hardest to find a solution to this. March 14th The day I received the survey which was the day after my service my right eye started to hurt. I couldnt pinpoint exactly where but it was hurting under eye area. As the days have gone on it has only gotten worse. My eye is now swollen and believe to have a st or some type of infection. My face is extremely hot and peeling which she ensured would not happen. I have been receiving my massages there. I believe I see leah. Leah has been kind, professional and consistent in the skill of her deep or firm pressure massages. I receive 60-90 minutes and she is quiet which allows for me to really reach a place of zen. I love the facility it's large clean and has convenient hours. They could use a massage chair in the quiet room while the patrons are waiting. But overall they have good technicians. I wish they could keep their esthetician's. Everytime I find a great one they leave so it leaves me without someone and there is no consistency for a person to follow along with the progression of your skill if you continue to change therapist. read more

I generally ONLY like to post good reviews. But, I am incredibly disappointed with my last experience at massage envy. Unfortunately, the regular masseuse was unavailable & massage envy notified me quickly of updating/changing my appointment, which I appreciated. I arrived at my appointment early only to be seen LATE. No apology or explanation, not a good start. On the website it states 10 minutes of undressing, 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after. I had an hour & a half booked. Mind you I haven't been to get a massage for AWHILE so I needed it. The massage itself was fine. But, then she leaves out of the room 8 minutes prior to the end of the session. Usually, I'm not SUCH a stickler. However, you were ALREADY late to my appointment, yikes! I am huge on customer service and unfortunately this wasn't my best experience. I am actually smack in the middle of the Temecula & Murrieta branches. I will try my luck with the Temecula location. I made an appt for my self because it's my Bday at 6:30pm and they called me and told me that they had to moved me at 8pm because the therapist is not available. I agreed and when I arrived I asked if I can get a Deep Tissue because I'm having a tight muscle in my back. When they put in the room I reminded the person that I prefer DT massage. The whole time the massager just kept rubbing my back and without pressure. I asked her if she can put more pressure...but the whole time that I was in the room was disappointing esp the $ they charged. My 5 yrs old son can do a lot better...I wouldn't recommend this place and today I went to the traditional Asian massage and it's very rewarding. read more

If you have other expectations you will be sorely disappointed. Membership is the way to go if you want 2 or more massages a month; it's a great deal for a full massage experience on a regular basis. This location is huge and has a very lovely reception and quiet room; very nicely designed. It was popping on the weekend. Massage Envy popped up and showed they were doing a $39 introductory massage special, so we decided to go in. I was really impressed! Excellent customer service by all members of their staff; they were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Sarah and Sean, two of the front desk associates made my mom and I feel right at home and explained the check-in and consult process. One thing they told me that i won't forget is all of their therapists need an extra 200 hours on top of their license before Massage Envy will hire them...I thought this was really interesting. Will, my massage therapist greeted me. Will was what I like to call "real people". He had a friendly smile and a calm, professional demeanor. I remember him saying he was trained in chiropractic service as well as different kinds of massage. My doctor recommended that a facial might really help my dry skin, so I call here and near the end of booking a basic facial, I mention that I'm in between chemo treatments right now and it would really help if everything was especially sanitary. To my surprise, I'm told that they don't do facials for anyone who has had Chemotherapy in the past 6 months... really disappointing, but fine, their policy is their policy. Regardless they definitely lost out on some business. Won't be going there, even in 6 months. Called a different salon and they were accommodating and more than happy to do my facial, even with my chemotherapy. So I guess it's impossible to cancel a membership with them? My wife has cancelled 3 times and they keep charging 60 a month. She goes into the location and cancels, fills out their forms to cancel, and a month later, get charged again another 60 bucks. When you call to get money back, SHOCKINGLY it is against their "policy" to refund money. To me it seems like a scam that they seem to be getting away with and it's rediculous.
