Horrible, money grabbing staff. I have called numerous times and left voicemails asking to cancel my membership. Every. Single. Time. my phone call goes to voicemail. I know they have caller ID because I've called other locations and spoken with other mangers. They are deliberately ignoring my attempts to cancel and continuously pulling money out of my account. The staff were very nice...I had extensive talks with what I wanted was a facial. We spoke about the price which was $85, I became a member which they stated $75. I'm not sure of what happened, I should have looked at the receipt. I would've seen that they were charging me $150 for my facial Which turned out to be a Microderm. I have never had a microdermabrasion and it was not talked about in any conversation that I had and it was never told to me that it was gonna be $150. I question the girl doing the facial why I wasn't receiving a steam, hot towels, neck rub, and she mumbled something that in the advanced facials you don't receive that? So, later looking at my charges I noticed I paid $150 which shame on me I should've done when I was in the building, but I guess I trusted and thought I was getting what I asked for! Again, Never having a Microdermabrasion done, I knew it wasn't what facials I have had in the past-just thought that's what they did as a facial...please remember, microdermabrasion was NEVER mentioned or the PRICE!!! I've always just had facials. I called and spoke with the manager, she would not do anything to compensate or to correct this miscommunication on their part I feel because I never stated I wanted a microdermabrasion? Very poor customer service,she would talk with the scheduler and the girl that took my information, but never once did she say that she would talk to her upper manager? And still refused to compensate or do anything . I called her back and asked her to speak with her manager, which she said she would, but it would be after the weekend because they don't work weekend. this Thursday. Not sure if she counts Friday as a weekend? It's sad that business is now they don't really care anymore. About good customer service ! luckily there was 30 days that you could cancel the contract. I did it in less than 24! When I canceled the contract, the manager said OK ! A competent and good manager, would have said why don't we wait and see what we can do to help you out... I would be very cautious going to this establishment and if you do check your receipt, I would say be perfectly clear in what you want, I thought I was in fact, I know I was but somehow I ended up with a treatment I didn't want. I would never have paid $150 for a facial. Initially, I had called and left a message to call me back,stating I was interested in getting some treatments, a facial and a massage I should have known after two days that I didn't hear anything, this was a red flag that this was not a reputable business. While vacationing here in Myrtle Beach, my muscles were bothering me so I decided to treat myself to a massage here, as it's very difficult to find a good local place. I've only heard good things about Massage Envy so I decided to give them a try. Well, I am very disappointed. My massage was with Miss Debbie, who this review is completely not about. She was sweet as pie and gave a fantastic massage. A true gem, I feel fantastic. My issue is with the way this place is run. I understand it's a chain, and chains usually don't have the best customer service, but I assumed since it's a spa, they would care. Wrongo. Now, I work in the customer service/beauty industry so I do this every single day, I've worked at multiple spas. The customers relaxation is supposed to be top priortity. When customers are late, it's an inconvenience, but shit happens that is sometimes out of your control, and you just have to roll with it, and be polite anyway, especially if it's this persons first offense. At least that's how I personally do business. I arrived 10-15 mins late due to traffic, which I fully understand is a real aggravation to the service provider. But not only did they mention that about 10 times and make me feel real freakin bad about being late, I felt so rushed, and had a difficult time relaxing. Then, my massage was cut 10 mins short. While I understand I lose the time I missed, I was booked for an hour, and my service didn't go to the end of the hour. My massage lasted from 12:15-12:50. I was booked 12-1. The very unfriendly reception staff's reply was "well you were late" OK so I deserve to be punished as well as ridiculed? I just really was incredibly dissatisfied with the way I was treated here, besides the actual massage I was given. You're much better off going somewhere small and local, where they care about YOU as a person/customer. I've learned my lesson. read more

We heard good things about this place and decided to try it out. My wife paid for the 6-month program of $80.00 a month. She went to her first facial and they burnt her face. It was bad enough that her eyes were swollen almost shut- When she called, they said it usually takes a few days for the swollen to go down. Since she paid for the program she went back and to a different person. When she told the new person what happened they said the lady didn't do it right that should not have happened. Now she is at the end of the 6-month program, she goes for her last facial, and they tell her she missed an appointment she has none left. My wife said how can that be, the person at the counter said it's right here you missed it your done. She said I paid for the 6 months you owe me my last facial and they said no! My wife could not find anything saying she had that appointment or any records of a reminder call about her appointment- Be-ware people. This is an easy money grab for this company- No proof, and tell the customer that you missed appointment! These people kept messing up my scheduling for a couples massage. First they only scheduled me and the only reason I found out about it was when they called to confirm. I told them I definitely wanted a couples. They could not set a couples appointment within the time I wanted due to a schedule conflict with family. so naturally I had to cancel. Then I call another location and set up a couples massage and they provide me with the perfect time for a couples massage... then a couple hours later they all me saying the massage therapist called out for that day.... you have got to be fucking kidding me... buyers beware I signed up for a membership and had all intentions of treating myself monthly and after a few visit I felt worse coming out then going in I inquired about canceling my membership. I explained I have a auto immune disease called ankolysosing spondylitis and I was in to much pain from the massage. ME informed me I needed a doctors note to be excused. My doctor quit and I could not get in with a new provider I made multiple calls explaining how long it was to get into a new provider to only have the new provider leave the practice before I got in. I was running out of time on my membership and I finally get a new pcp only to find out ME auto renewed my membership. I had 9 sessions unused and they renewed the service they say it's in your contract you have to auto renew!!!!! I demand the cancelation contract only to find out you can cancel for 1) moving 25 miles away 2) doctors note 3) ME discretion. what buisness has the right to inflict pain on someone and it's ok????? The contract also states that you can not receive refund or seek attorneys help. We will see about this and further more I have 9+ sessions I can't use but have to pay to give away. Read the hole contract they are con artist I would have gave to a better charity!!!!! My contract ended in Nov 2021 and here I am still paying but got a doctors note finally thanks to a new doctor who got me in. read more

I have been a member since 2018. The hardest thing about being a member is getting an appointment in the time that is convenient for "working" people. 8-5 or 7-7. I usually book online so I can look at my schedule when booking. My last visit was 03-22-2022, I left a review for 2 things, one, how hard it is to get an appointment and second, the quality of the facial I received. ME called me back on the review, first I thought wow they are really calling me back, but then, said I should book an appointment when I leave instead of online because the online status does not update like it should. Is this the proper way it should be handled? wouldn't most think, if a company offered a service that service would be provided. They never asked me about my experience with the service. My complaint about the service is that I hardly feel anything during the session, I had requested a little more attention around the eyes, but the whole experience was robotic, nothing personal. I work in health care, I also have my manicurist licence, so professionalism is a must for me, it should be for all. Nothing was resolved. I do this one treat for myself, it is not a cheap treat, but something I really wanted. I usually never complain about anything, but it is time for me to cancel my membership and move on. read more

The Fast Food of Massages!!! This is by far my worst experience with a massage place. First of they saying an hour which means for massage envy 50 minutes. However, you end up with 45 minutes. The rooms are cold decorated - nothing feels like it should feel while getting a massage. I noticed massage therapists low qualified and not really listening to ones need. For all expecting mothers: My husband booked me a massage at this location while we were in town for business. When he spoke with the receptionist he stated to her that I was 11 weeks pregnant would I need the prenatal; she replied yes. When I showed up, I checked in, she asked me again how far along I was, we chit chatted about the pregnancy, then she escorted me to the waiting area. 15 minutes later, the massage therapist came in to tell me that I shouldn't have been allowed to book an appointment because I was not out of my first trimester. The receptionist never apologized, never took responsibility, nothing. I was not offered any thing for the inconvenience/mishap on their part. Just simply, sent away. I understand this may be their protocol for prenatal, however who trained this receptionist that she should not know this??? I left crying, secondary to, hello, I was pregnant and turned away from something that made me so excited (if you've ever been expecting you know the first trimester doesn't offer many good things). The lack of sympathy they showed hurt the most. I have reported this to corporate in hopes that their training program for receptionist never skips this again. read more

Great massages! I've been here 4 times and have not been disappointed. Have had a different therapist every time. Ended up getting a membership. Great customer service. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because you can only come in when it's convenient for them and never for you. I work 7 days a week and can only come in after work but they never have openings when I call. Also, the tipping chart for an hour massage is very highly priced. In order for someone to get a $20 tip for an hour massage, they would literally have to do magic on me. Sucks the company does not give their therapist a small commission of the massages they perform. Therapist work off tips but get paid by the hour. Before coming in I had doubts about wether this massage chain would be good or not because I've mostly gone to other types of spas for massage and have high expectations.... But being on vacation I figured sure why not just give it a try since I was visiting in the area and feeling a little sore from traveling ... I said I wanted deep tissue massage and they hooked me up with someone who did just that ...
