Massage envy is a chain of that offers services such as massages and facials. They also have memberships available. When parking in front of the business you must validate your parking through the website on the parking signs that are posted. The business also sells skin products. I booked an appointment online to use a gift card that I was given as a gift for a massage. The morning of the day prior to my appointment I got a text stating that there was a scheduling error and that they "need me to come in earlier" at a certain time for my massage. They didn't ask if that time was ok with me. Later that day in the evening they called me and said the same thing but then asked if that was ok. I agreed to come in at the earlier time despite there being a slight inconvenience. When I arrived I was greeted by Gabby. She was great. Very much a people person and she explained everything well and completed my check in paperwork. I got my massage by Virginia and she did a good job. Prior to the day of my massage I called and explained that I had gift cards as I didn't know if it needed to be noted on my account and the person I spoke to advised me that she would make a note to my account. When it was time to check out I was advised that my gift cards were expired. On the back of the gift cards it clearly states that there is no expiration for the cards. After speaking to Gabby she let her coworker handle the issue. This coworker, that may have been a manager said that she had to call her supervisor. Then that person had to reach out to another person. They sent pictures of the gift cards to the individuals that she was texting. In the end they were able to deduct the amount of the gift cards from my service however me having to wait around for about 15 minutes while they sorted the issue was an inconvenience & took away from any relaxation that I had after my massage. read more

If I could give this place one star I would. I had fabulous services but the administration needs help. I was told by one of their managers Gretchen that if I signed up for a membership regardless of which massage envy it would be a flat fee of $80. This was incorrect. I have been calling and texting to cancel my membership they told me numerous times it was canceled. Yet I was charged today. Their membership is a scam and I would highly highly recommend not ever getting services at this location and try your local spa. read more

Not Worth It - Disappointing Facial Experience I booked a chemical peel facial at Massage Envy in North Hills expecting the advertised 50-minute service, but the whole thing was over in barely 30 minutes. It felt rushed and incomplete. There were no extractions, no upper body massage (which has always been part of every other facial I've had there), and the chemical peel itself seemed ineffective--there was zero peeling or any visible results afterward. This was by far the most underwhelming facial I've ever received, especially for the price. I left feeling like I'd wasted both my time and money. I am a long time member of massage envy and I thought hard about leaving this review but it had to be done. I had a facial and a massage. The facial was ok until I had to dress sit for 15 minutes before any showed up for my massage. Upon arrival, I was registered then I had to ask where to go. You definitely do not feel the love in this place upon arrival. It's supposed to be a relaxing environment...it's not! The quiet room is not so quiet! It seemed like every employee in the place was at the front desk laughing and talking. Which made the quiet room not quiet. It was also very dirty..all the dirt and leaves from the day was on display...papers lying around. Not pleasant at all. To make things worse...while I was getting my massage, the maintenance staff opened the door unannounced. Terrible experience! I'm done with massage envy. They have declined significantly. My wife bought me a $150 massage for Valentine's Day as a surprise. The receptionist put the incorrect date in when she set the appointment. Massage envy sent me a text that states to confirm the appt which I did, unknowing what was going on. I confirmed it for the wrong date (my fault but I didn't really know what was going on). Then forgot to ask my wife about it. They charged us for the $150 with no refund. We also had $30 left on the gift card which was to be used as a tip but Massage Envy wouldn't refund that. So my wife is sad that she spent $180 on a teachers salary for a ruined surprise. It's a shame to see such poor customer service and disregard for people they claim to want to help. read more

I had a great massage with Leah but a bad experience getting a facial with someone else. When I called for an appointment I scheduled a massage and regular facial. Leah was fabulous she really cared about my needs. I was relaxed and very satisfied. Then came the facial where the therapist said I was booked for a microdermabrasion which was not I what I booked she said she doesn't do regular facials. Because I am leaving for a trip I decided to just get it done. Little did I know what I was in for. She said it would feel like a cat licking my face well being allergic to cats I had no ideal it would be painful. I told her several times that my face felt like it was burning she just said it would tingle for a while, I left there with a bad headache instead of Feeling relaxed. It took away from my great massage experience. Not to mention that the therapist lacked friendliness and didn't even walk me out. I told the girls at the front desk and sent emails to the location, yet to hear back. Long story short is when you call in , make sure your appointment is booked correctly as this painful experience cost twice as much she even started late and ended early there was No shoulder and neck massage which I have always had with a facial, not this time and 60 minutes became 45 with this therapist while Leah used every minute even had a timer set which I appreciated . The management sent a very nice email and apologized for my experience. Also gave me a free session which was very nice. While in the middle of my massage, the new, Hispanic manager barged into the room why I was fully undressed, laying on the table with nothing covering me just to rudely inform me that I was not able to use my coupon. After asking who in the world the rude female was behind the counter I was informed she was the new manager Alexis: not only did she speak to Shannen as if she was a child but her attitude towards me was absolutely unreal. Long story short due to this "problem manager ". my esty walked out, and i don't blame her one bit. That bump of a spa was lucky to have her, the owner should be ashamed . The spa is dirty, there's always something wrong like a bathroom being out of order or the rank smell. After reading reviews for this facility, I felt the need to confirm what others were also disappointed with. First of all, I've never visited a place offering services, not train all of their employees on the products being offered. Second, Cody the clinic manager said I was at the front desk at 1:27pm, per the camera. I actually took a pic of the time I was still in a robe at 1:27pm. Third, she said I was advised to be there 15 min. early ( it was noted on my chart. Was I there long enough for a chart to be filed? I was never informed. As members, we have been to this location several times now and both of us have had amazing experiences. Like all Massage Envy's we've been to, experiences can vary depending on the masseuse. We have also had differing experiences with the front desk. For instance, we both had 90 minute massages one recent weekend and I was told the extra half hour was only ten bucks, but Husband was not told that and used an extra 1/2 point instead. Overall we are very happy here and will continue to go back! I would tell you who to ask for but it's already hard enough to get an appointment. :) read more

I gifted a good friend of mine a massage or a facial they told me it didn't matter which one it was used for because it's all the same price so I got a gift card long story short she went in for her session I noticed the manager I believe her name was Lexi having a altercation with the employees when I dropped her off but my friend wasn't going to let that ruin her session until she stated that her session was Interrupted by the same manager that was just yelling at the employees she bursted the door open during her session and not to mention she was in the middle of her session not fully dressed, she was already skeptical about getting massages because of just rumors and fears of ever being exposed she was already worried about what exactly that meant by dressing down to comfort level. Every negative review is accurate. Unfortunately, I purchased the 6 month massage package... wish I read the reviews for this location (North Hills Raleigh NC) first. Every single month there was an issue, whether it was extremely rude staff, short massages that also felt rushed, stretching you instead massaging you, masseur Roberta texting multiple times during the massage (I CAN SEE YOU DOING IT!!! - and she had the nerve to deny it?!). I'm just glad its over and I don't ever have to step foot in that establishment anymore and I certainly will never ever refer anyone and will share my experience on the rooftops. Therapist was sold as a Medium to deep. She in fact was very light. Ruff hands so it made my skin very irritated. Her technique was ok for light, but not what I was told I would get. Terrible experience! Signed up for a 90 min facial with Raya and then booked a massage right after for a day of pampering. She takes me back and asks if I wanted to upgrade to microdermabrasion so figured why not I'm here for 90 min. Didn't realize that was in place of my 90 minute facial! Should have realized it was not going to a good experience when she has me lay on top of the table (not under a sheet) and not even offered a blanket to cover my legs or feet (was wearing shorts and flip flips). She then spent the next 20+ minutes plugging in the machine and getting her stuff together. I was 25-30 min in before she ever touched my face. I've had dermabrasion several times before and did not seem like she knew what she was doing! You're supposed to keep the skin taught when you slide the pen over your face, but she didn't and it kept getting stuck. 15 min later she put some serum on my face and that was it! Literally spent a total of 20-25 min on my face and that's supposed to be premier facial? Complete waste of time and wound up canceling my massage because I was so mad and had 40 min to do nothing. So much for my day of pampering. The front girl was nice and apologized and only charged me for the 90 min facial instead of the premier. Was not even worth that! My partner and I left our house at 8:00 for a 9:00 couple massage appointment. It took us 46 minutes to get to the massage envy. At 8:30 the front desk personnel called to say that the masseuse called out sick. We arrived and the receptionist let two individual ladies go ahead of us after lying to us and stating that they had no other appointments available for 9:00. My partner was not called back until 9:05 when we arrived at 8:46 and the other two individuals arrived at 8:59 and were immediately taken back for their 9:00 appointment. When my partner was called back, it was by a male masseuse when we specifically requested a female masseuse for my (male) partner and a male masseuse for me(female). This meant that the information that was put into the system to set up the appointment was incorrect and they did not assign us the proper masseuses in the first place because the receptionist said that the female called out but told me that I appointment was cancelled. The receptionist flat out ignored me when I asked her whether it was the male or female that called out. The receptionist also let us know that the manager was going to be late while we continued to wait for a solution. My partner is leaving for two years and this is something that he and I wanted to enjoy together. The manager said that "the masseuse that called out is unreliable" and that they "would try to schedule us for a complementary session with a reliable masseuse" in the future. Membership points were used to schedule both appointments with a $10 transfer fee. We finally left the store at 9:25. Now we have to make the 46 minute drive home completely unsatisfied. read more

I've always had an excellent experience here. All the therapists I have had the pleasure of having, have proven themselves to be caring professionals with a good knowledge of anatomy and compassion for their clients. The price is reasonable for the service and everywhere in the establishment (except perhaps the front reception) is filled with a quiet, peaceful calm. It just gives one a feeling of well being. One tiny complaint is about the front. Most of the time there is no problem whatsoever and everything is great. But sometimes the girls at the desk are very casual with each other, even with customers in the room. I have had continual confusion with the staff in this location. They told me the wrong times of my appointments multiple times, having me show up entirely too early or even late for the appointment. Most recently, however, I called to find out how many credits I had on my account, proceeded to schedule that many appointments, then after my last appointment of the series, they told me I did not have a credit on my account to cover it and I had to pay for it. This is incredibly frustrating to me, not to mention the fact that their staff is not exactly friendly or helpful in the scenarios. I had a really good experience at this Massage Envy! I had a woman named Shaq, and she was hilarious and very nice. She even helped me plan my life out! She was also very knowledgeable and knew that I worked at a stand-up desk and had to look down all the time at work based on what she felt. While i've always been curious about Massage Envy I never thought to make myself an appointment until I was treated to a very nice one hour massage as a Christmas gift from my best friend. Really i've only ever had one other massage at a local spa so I wasn't 100% what to expect from this experience. The scheduling process was simple and quick (I just stopped in and did it) and the actual day of check in was just as easy. I really liked that all the forms and questions were on an ipad rather than a ton of papers, it was much neater and easier to get through this way. Once I was done I was led into a relaxation room where I was offered tea while I waited. The Tazo tea that I was given (chai) was tasty, but I have to say I much rather have the special blends that several area spas provide. The relaxation room itself also wasn't super relaxing or anything, mostly just another waiting room with dimmed lights. Other than that the experience as a whole was really nice! My masseuse was very nice and explained everything beforehand. She asked me the type of pressure I wanted and to let her know if she needed to be harder or softer. Her pressure for me was perfect, right down the middle with a bit lighter over spots where my eczema had been flaring. Speaking of which I REALLY appreciate their oils not having a scent. This is much appreciated for someone who has really sensitive skin. While I don't think I would ever get massages regularly this was a REALLY nice experience! I was in town on business and decided to get massage with my membership. They were able to look up my information and I only had to fill out some medical history for the therapist to look over. The front desk staff was so friendly, helped me decide what "touristy" things might be nice to do, and they also told me the best areas to shop. There is plenty of parking around the spa I was nervous to try a new therapist since I already have my therapist at home, but Joy was wonderful. She was quiet with a light handshake, but when it came to my muscles she found the knots right away and worked very hard on them to make me comfortable. I was very happy that she was so good as what she did! She also asked what specifically I would like to work on because I planned my massage at the last minute and only had an hour. I was desperate for a massage and kept putting it off. Called after 3pm and was able to get a same evening appt. I really wanted a female therapist but they were all booked (I had called on super short notice, so obviously) I am not shy or modest but when it comes to a massage I just prefer a woman when massage of the body is involved. I ended up getting Larry as my massage therapist and am so glad I did. He was beyond professional and made me feel so comfortable. He was excellent in ridding me of the knots in my trouble spots.
