If you want a good, real deep tissue massage, ask for Robyn. I was lucky enough to get her for my 60 minute massage and she didn't mess around. She got most of my knots out and was very friendly. I like it there, although the girls that work up front could be more polite. Before Covid I made the mistake of joining their " club". Unfortunately during Covid they claimed they were open and charged my account I believe weekly. Of course I didn't go during Covid so lost a lot of money. The therapists are great its just company procedure I object to. Absolutely horrible. Tried for 3 weeks to cancel my package & the manager is the only one who can send the email apparently. Took her 3 weeks to send 1 email and of course the payment hit my card which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. Manager proceeded to ghost me. It's been 7 months and they continue to charge my credit card. They even used a different name to charge my card after I attempted to block them with my credit card company. Getting a new credit card seems to be the only way to stop this nightmare. The manager is the single point of failure. If I could give negative stars I would. Avoid this place at all cost. So about four years ago I received a gift card from my students to Massage Envy. Due to having little munchkins of my own and I seldom have someone to watch them I hadn't used it yet. I figured visiting the in-laws was the perfect time to use this gift card. So I called last minute and got a reservation for a couple of hours later. The front desk staff was friendly and great. When I came in they had me fill out basic paper work. They asked if I needed to use the restroom and then had me sit in the lobby and wait for my masseuse, Josh. He greeted me and walked me back to the massage room. There was no relaxation room like some of the spas (Red Door Spa) I use. The massage room felt cheap, from every thing to the tables to fact that the rooms weren't sound proof. The massage was okay, but nothing great. He asked how the pressure was and it was decent. Not sure I was a fan of all of his technique. If I was to go back (and I didn't use all of my gift card) I would probably not ask for Josh again, but would take my chances with someone else in hopes of someone great. They didn't try to up sell me on the monthly membership as they knew I was from out of town. When my massage was done Josh greeted me with a cheap plastic cup of water. My in-laws dog must have liked the greasy lotion they used there as the dog could not stop licking me (YUCK) the second I went back to their house. I found this location very frustrating, as the availability was extremely limited. We ended up canceling our membership, as we could rarely get appointments that accommodated our schedule. The therapists are just okay. Out of the three massages I had, one truly listened to my needs and provided a great massage. The next open appointment for that therapist was four months out. Massage Envy sells a service they do not have the resources to provide Their on-line booking system asks pages of questions and tries to sell add ons but if there are no matches to every answer you provided you have to start over from the beginning. Always ended up having to call because the on-line system malfunctioned. There seems to be a shortage of employees so they are booking appointments months out. For that reason I cancelled my membership with 6 hours of unused services and now I'm going to lose the monthly fees I paid because there are no appointments available. I love my massages and facials but there are much better options available. read more

I've been a dues paying "member" for about six months now and been able to successfully book one appointment (when a slot was open) that was convenient for me. Marisol was great :) BUT My second attempt was NOT GOOD! I booked concurrent appointments for my girlfriend and I weeks in advance only to get a call canceling her appointment that same day, I requested that they also cancel mine as I was not going to make her wait while not getting one. Very positive experience. Accommodating, safe, professional, friendly and very clean. I booked a 60 minute firm massage from a masseuse named April. This is my first experience at this location. The parking lot can get challenging to maneuver early in the mornings and in the afternoon. I received an email the night before explaining the covid protocols which included calling when arriving and always wearing a mask while in the building. I arrived 10 mins early and called. I was told to come in and start the check in process. The place was very clean and the ladies at the front desk were very pleasant. I was walked back to my room a short time later. Room was very clean and nice relaxing music was playing. The 60 minutes went by very quickly. April worked only the areas I asked and was able to get a lot of knots out of my back but explained it would take more visits to get them all. I plan on going back when I get back into town and using April again. read more

So freaking frustrated with this company! They have a million dollar masseuse named Rachel and oh my god she is AMAZING however the company itself is a Rip Off! Right after my wonderful massage they hit you with the membership option, which I fell for in my relaxed state. I signed up and 5 months later regret, regret, regret. Rachel is so good that I can never get an appointment with her cos she's so busy, then when I made an appointment with someone else I contracted COVID and had to cancel last minute, you'd think that they would accommodate and not charge me but nope. and when I asked the manager for a refund she looked at their innaccurate records and told me that they had to pay the employees for their time(isn't that what the monthly fees are for?) Annette, my massage therapist, deserves five stars! Complaint one: $90 for a non member to get an approximate 45-50 minute massage! Outrageous! The only extra you receive is a mint and a small plastic cup of water! Complaint two: Checked in. Was asked into quiet room. My therapist came in saying she was waiting on me because I hadn't filled in the information on the iPad. Well, it was because I wasn't told anything about it! This location is very unprofessiona. I canceled my appointment apparently I spoke to one of the managers she did not inform me they were taking my credit. I called and spoke to Lindsey and she refused to return my credit be she lied and said that is there policy but online policy says they charge 50% of the service I asked her if she could refund my credit and just charge me the 50% she said no she will not be refunding my credit and if I come to the store to show her proof she will call the police. The location that I started my membership with called to see if she can short the lie out and Lindsey lied and told her my card was declined when they tried to charge it. She not once stars they tried to charge my card that they just decide upon themselves regardless of the written policy to take my credit. my encounter with people my Lindsey os the reason I canceled my membership. Worst massage ever. The guy was nice, and it was a relaxing environment, but the therapist left a ton of oil on my neck and upper back. He did not focus on the areas I told him I needed extra work on. Maybe he was new? Ive had much better massages at a massage training center. Then when I went to pay, they asked me if I waned to leave a tip for my therapist. You don't ask someone for a tip! It should be voluntary! Rude. read more

I love massage envy! The thing about massages is, it's all about the massage therapist. If your first massage wasn't your style, try a different therapist! I went through about 5 massage therapists before I found Marisol. I have problems with my neck stiffening up to the point I can't look in either direction. She was the only one that looked for the cause of this problem, worked to fix it, and explained it all to me when my massage was done. Turns out the problem wasn't with my neck but my shoulders were littered with knots! She also does prenatal massages, which are wonderful! I highly recommend Marisol!!! read more

Tried making an appointment online, received the confirmation e-mail stating that the store would be calling me to either confirm the slot or try to find another one that was available. Waited three days, never heard anything from the store. Sent a second request online, received the same e-mail, waited another two days, still never heard anything back. I drive by the location every day on my way to and from work, and there's never more than three cars in the lot, so I'm reluctant to believe that they're ever so busy that it takes 5+ days to set up an appointment. Probably won't bother trying again when there are several other spas in the area that can accommodate same-day appointments. read more

Awesome Awesome Awesome....did I say Awesome ? Went for my first 90 miin massage and was very enjoyable and the next day hardly no soreness. I drank about 30 oz water before going and 64 oz afterwards up to bedtime. My therapist Rachel G was great, asked if comfortable, asked areas to concentrate on and others to stay away. Offered hot towels on areas I didnt want touched and accepted and was very nice. I signed up for membership and will go monthly. read more

No giving u water, relaxation room is pointless, massage is NOT an hour long, constant sounds of tiny lotion bottle lids being opened and shut and the sound of lotion squirting out, no hot towels, no initial relaxation pressure to get you relaxed and if this place does anything for u, they act like they are really doing you a favor. They just don't get it that customers are the ones doing them a favor by choosing to spend their money at this place of business rather than somewhere else. It isn't a partnership, it's a service. If I pay you, YOU WORK FOR ME! That is what the service industry is! The costumer experience is the most important part of your business. Everything else is a cost. It seems people have forgotten this. Managers, therapists, buildings, supplies. You are all costs that without loyal customers, will soon be finding yourself out of business and unemployed. If you think corporate isn't brainstorming ideas to keep customers, even the ones who might be going outside of the contract a bit, you are kidding yourself. They probably ask how many contract renewals you get. Going above and beyond is expected if you want my business. It's my hard earned money that I have to sweat for and I choose where to spend it. Why would I just give it to someplace for a low class customer experience. Some people have to work 8 hours to afford 1 hour here. They just don't seem to understand that here. My husband bought a membership for me for my birthday. He's a man. They don't pay much attention. I didn't start using it right away and the third from the last message they wanted me to pay for!! Apparently, you MUST use 6 massages within 6 months. I was obviously surprised. The manager agreed after throwing the contract in my face to extend me 30 days for the other two. So 3 massages in 30 days. I only wish I had that time. Here's the crappy part. The manager says, your husband was supposed to tell you. Let me be clear. Bad business practice: sell gift membership and never go over contract or rules with gift recipient when they first come in, then throw contract in recipients face and act like you are doing them a favor if you extend 30 days (bearing in mind you have been paid in advance). Good business practice (AKA not what happened): Explain terms of contract and all expectations to both customer at time of purchase, and recipient upon activating membership, which is not activated until recipient comes in for first massage, therefore creating known expectations and avoiding confusion relying on information or anything else getting from one person to another. First experience was not good. I've been to other chains before and had great experiences and I got a gift card for Christmas so I gave it a try. It took awhile for me to get a convenient appointment. I'm not exactly a last minute person, but I don't normally book appointments a month in advance. When I arrived, the receptionist was not exactly pleasant but I wrote it off to bad day. But then my massage both started late and ended early. I realize it is only 50 minutes but I got only 40. To end the time with a pretty high-pressure sales routine only cemented that I would not be back. There are a lot of other places that do a better job. read more

Massage Envy has deceptive sales practices and unethical business policies. DO NOT sign up for a membership with this company! I actually had decent massages here, which is unfortunate, because I will never frequent this establishment again. I was roped into a 6 month membership. After my 6 months were up, I decided it was a luxury I couldn't regularly afford, so I canceled. HOWEVER, I still had 90 minutes of prepaid massage time that I had not used at the time of cancellation. When you cancel your membership, you have to file a formal cancellation letter, which apparently states 'any prepaid services will be forfeited within 30 days of cancellation'. Had I not been on my way into my scheduled massage when I filled out this form, I might have had time to read what I was signing (my own fault). But I never would have let a 90 minute massage that I had already paid for go unused had I known. The manager of this store suggested I sign up for another membership and then they can give me back the time I had already paid for!! Otherwise, "That's corporate policy. The business can't make money if we don't cut off the time you're able to use it otherwise.". What?? They can't make money on the money I've already paid them?? At the VERY least, they should contact their customers who have time about to expire and let them know. It's not as if canceling my membership meant I would never use them again, I just didn't want to be tied to a mandatory monthly payment. Thanks to their poor customer service, it doesn't matter how good they are.....they've gotten enough money out of me. read more

I cancelled my memberships months ago but somehow it didn't go through. They kept calling trying to collect monthly fees for months I never went. I even had to cancel my credit card so they would leave me alone. Now they say they can't cancel because I'm behind for the months I have not used their "club". They make it as difficult as possible to cancel ~ I moved which is one of the reasons I no longer go there but knowing how they treat people now I wouldn't go even if there was one next door. I am giving this establishment 1 star because negative stars was not an option. Called to cancel they explained you had to complete paper work completed the form and returned over 90 days ago. Open the mail to find a debt collectors letter. Call the establishment and no one could help. They are rude and are predators avoid them. Search the class action suit against the company, is not just this location it is the brand--avoid lest you have to get your attorney involved in you trying not to get a massage. read more
