YOU NEED TO GO HERE! The massage here was absolutely AMAZING! I've been to at least 5 other places in the St. Clair County area hoping to find something decent. I went here last week to get a massage with my wife. It's a great place in a quiet location. They were accommodating with our schedule. The therapists are very friendly and welcoming. I want to give it a 5 star but I was just not satisfied with the massage. I guess when I asked for deep tissue, I was really expecting like a good deep tissue but the pressure was not solid enough. It felt like A gentle rub. I have been to many massage places every time I asked focus massaging on my neck/traps area, it's always the spot that's neglected and I think therapist are trained to say "we'll focus more on that area" without actually doing it." My wife thought it was great but my experience with the massage was mediocre. I recommend this place for clients who like light massages. read more

I'm not sure why this place has so few reviews, but please don't let that deter you. It is really a five star experience. I posted a message here on Yelp hoping for one of the businesses in the area to have an opening for a massage on short notice the same day (literally within 2 hours), and Kevin responded within just a few minutes. They had an opening with Erin that evening. Because this has so few reviews I kind of expected it to be a small, newer practice with no bells and whistles. I was quite wrong and very pleasantly surprised. The suite is very nice, well decorated with a lovely, warm color scheme. I was greeted by Erin, who was cheerful and welcoming. The massage table was warm, with high quality bedding. I was able to choose an aromatherapy scent, and Erin also used hot stones for the massage. I especially want to note that Erin's technique is the best I've experienced in this area. She was methodical and intentional about how she did the massage, and she just seemed really knowledgeable. I've been to other places where I felt the massage was rushed or not well executed. Not here! It was just overall such a great experience, and my goodness the price was great too! The pricing was $20 less than I expected. I think they could easily charge more for the type of massage given. Hubby and I had a couples massage with Jenny & Michelle today and it was amazing! Hot towels, hot stones and essential oils were all included in the massage. Kevin has been a successful small business owner and employer for over 20 years. He works closely with his therapists to ensure that the needs of clients are always met and that working conditions are optimal for the best level of service possible. His personal experiences with massage therapy after suffering injuries and extreme stress convinced him that it should be a key part of everyone's wellness plan. Kevin is a strong proponent of the use of information technology in small business. He is also the owner of an executive-level IT consulting firm in the St. Louis region. In his spare time he enjoys being with his three sons as well as keeping up on the latest breakthroughs in science and technology. He is a secular humanist and and is quite outspoken on human and civil rights issues.

She is very intuitive and knows just how much pressure to use when she is massaging you. She also has good customer service and communication, which unfortunately not all LMTs have. Let me also mention that I've been looking for a decent massage therapist in the St Louis/Belleville area for like 3 years since I was stationed here. I've tried like 10+ different places and they were honestly mediocre with the exception of like one other independent massage therapist, who I believe moved location. So I kept looking for someone local and found Holistic Massage and Reiki, and this place is a gem. I've had a lot of massages across the states for like 6 years so I am very aware of what constitutes a "good" massage. I feel like a lot of LMTs in the St Louis region got into the business because they thought it was easy money and all they have to do is go through a routine of "pawing" at people, and they have no intuition or deep knowledge of anatomy. Even a lot of LMTs and chains here with "good" reviews were mediocre because no offense but most clients in this area never had an actually good massage. So, understand my frustration. But then I find Marija and not only is she competent and know what she is doing, SHE IS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD. I am not going to list all the mediocre places in the city and the other side of the river before I found her (since this review is for Holistic, not them) but seriously, don't even bother with the other places, just go to Marija.

Now why in the world would I pay for a 90 min massage gift card then only book a 60 min massage? Secondly, the appointment was booked over the phone by their staff who knew the gift card promo I was using. After further discussion at the front desk I was told they would "comp" the difference of the full price service today and "allow" me to use the gift card for the 60 min massage. I asked if I could have the 30 minutes added to my next appointment of which they refused. To try and have me pay MORE for a massage that was less than the package I paid for is crazy and terrible customer service. What a wonderful Mother's Day gift

I called to obtain information regarding the services at Therapeutic Living. I spoke with Kevin, who was very helpful and able to answer all of my questions. I was wanting a facial, which, because of Co-VID, is not offered at this time. I decided to treat myself to the Ultimate Massage. I went this evening and it was absolutely wonderful. Meghan was my therapist and she greeted me at the door with a very welcoming smile. I was escorted into the massage room and and given a short information sheet to fill out, Meghan reviewed this with me and asked appropriate questions. Meghan was extremely professional, listened to my concerns, and concentrated on my concerns. She made sure that I was comfortable and worked out the tightness in my back.
