Upon cancellation my monthly membership they were able to squeeze one last payment out of me. It's odd their policy states it could take up to 10 days once you fill out the cancellation form. So now I think this tallies 11 unused credits I have. I lost my other card so I had to reorder a new one and they couldn't end my membership without one last payment. How ironic. I had the best massage here from Steve. I was hesitant because I usually ask for female masseuses but Steve's massage has changed my mind. He was so professional and addresses a lot of my shoulder and neck tension. This definitely has to be the best massage I have had. I live in Los Angeles but was in Prescott for a wedding and I am thinking of getting a membership because it was that great. If I'm ever back in Prescott I will come ask for Steven again. REVIEW UPDATE: The owner of this Massage Envy called me to go over the issue and apologized for the staff being misinformed and not being able to offer a resolution at the time. Mark offered me a very fair resolution and in return we are planning on going back to try another attempt at an appointment. I told him that I would update my review because that is what is FAIR and the right thing to do. I forgot to update the review (I actually forgot I posted to YELP) so my apologies for taking so long. After my appointment this past Saturday (12/3/22), the salesperson gave me the information on all of the specials they currently running before I checked out. She explained that I could buy a (3) pack of 60-minute massage "package" and that at least 1 massage in the package was transferrable. I wasn't planning on purchasing any "special packages", but I liked the idea that I could transfer one to my husband for a Christmas gift. So, I purchased the package and made him an appointment for today 12/6/22 @ 3:30pm. I told him this was a Christmas gift, so he didn't need to pay for it. When he arrived ON TIME for his appointment, they told him that the massage package I purchased WAS NOT TRANSFERRABLE and that he would need to pay! HOW EMBARASSING as this was a gift! I ONLY bought the package for the transferrable option! I called and spoke with the associate while my husband was there. She explained that she also "thought" that they could transfer the massage, but the system would not allow her to do it. I told her that when I made the appointment, I was told that if he did not show, or canceled within 24 hours,that I would LOSE one of the massages in my package because that was essentially the credit holding his appointment. However, the associate today told me that they had a credit card on file in my profile that they used to hold the appointment! I NEVER gave permission for this! The associate called the manager (Karen) who confirmed that I could NOT transfer my package and that I was given the wrong info when I purchased the 3 pack! This is completely unacceptable. My husband left and told me he never wants to go back (he was recently gifted a $100 gc to Massage Envy too!) read more

Massage Envy; The only place that makes you envy anyone who hasn't done business with this Grade A group of shysters, liars, cheats, and scammers. Right from the start our family has had problems with this business, their absurd policies and charges for EVERY little thing. My mom accidentally left her recurring monthly charges on for about a year before realizing she was getting charged for massages. Okay, no refunds for that? Sure, I get that's on us. But why do they have to be so difficult about letting anyone use them? We can't send it to family in CA because the CA locations say that we can only use our transfers at our same "home" location. Whatever. We have to pay to transfer it to anyone in my immediate family, WTF? We already paid for the massage why do I have to pay you even more to let someone else use one? Oh and by the way, hope you don't want to give someone a massage anytime before 6 months, because you can only do it once per six months... Why? Well, because F*** YOU that's why. Emergency? Need to cancel? Don't worry about it... Because there's more fees and charges headed your way! But oh, if the masseuse needs to cancel THE DAY BEFORE, TWO TIMES IN A ROW. Then I'm S.O.L. And can't be rescheduled for weeks, or months... Sure you can keep using the "Covid" cop-out excuse, but you'd be able to maintain employees if you weren't one of the shadiest "businesses" out there. Tried to schedule to get rid of another one of my 10+ massages but can't get in until mid January?! How can you even operate at this point? 2+ months waitlist?! I'll put $100 down that there will be some reason I cannot get that massage either and there won't be any proper reimbursement for that massage. "Oh we can give you a complimentary scented oil during your massage." Seriously, you think a less than $1 value of scented oil makes me feel better just because you charge $5-10 for it. Nope. Overall this place is one that will let you down every time you visit, for one reason or another. And they will have 5 excuses at the ready to explain themselves. 100% Better! I was in alot of pain from my fibromyalgia, on a random Sunday & made an appt with Jordan, the only therapist available.... WOW!!! I really lucked out! When I left I expected to be sore from the deep tissue massage that I received & loved but, still expected to be a bit tender. In actuality I felt amazing & woke up feeling really amazing without any pain at all!!! ANYWHERE?! I go to this Massage Envy often and the front desk staff & all the therapists I have been to (Mike & Chris) have been great! I've had my monthly contract with this location since last August. They have canceled 3 of my scheduled appointments for various reasons, tech had family emergency, tech had childcare issue, tech was sick. I've tried several times to schedule and nothing was available within my schedule. I took my sister one time to use one of my massages for her and there's a $25 transfer fee what a racket and her massage was horrible. The massages I've had have been ok. Nothing fabulous. The place lacks ambiance. One of my massages the music was broken so a 1 hour massage with no music was awkward. One of the techs talks nonstop asking questions about your life. I was given a massage by a friend for M.E. So I booked a massage with Audra who was very professional. She was concerned about my comfort and offered extra services (which costs additional to the massage). The lobby is light and bright and the front desk staff were very polite and professional. The back part of the building reminded me of a bordello. It was dark and had narrow hallways with rooms off to each side. The walls are thin as well so I heard the coming and going of other clients and staff. Overall, the massage was great (thanks Audra!) but the whole office gave me the creeps. For the money $50 base price I probably will not go back. read more

The good thing about Massage Envy is that you can most of the time get appts the same day esp if it's during the week. But it's always hit or miss whether or not you get a good therapist. My therapist's name was Caroline and she was very nice and asked a lot of questions to ensure I was comfortable with my massage which I appreciated. Unfortunately she was not very experienced and the massage was okay. Not super, not bad. And it seems to me their standard sales pitch now is if you sign up for the Wellness Plan, they will waive the $39 sign up fee and give you 1 massage for free. Very reasonable if you plan on signing up. At least the girl behind the counter at this location was much more friendly and less pushy than my experience at my last Massage Envy. Karen at the front helped me book the appointments and her customer service was topnotch, no wonder she is a member of the management team. My mom had a facial with Dawn who she said was relaxing and sweet. I had my massage with Becky and that woman is a healer, really great massage therapist and will definitely see her again when I'm in the area. We have a membership had booked a couples massage in advance for Valentines booked a hotel and all to enjoy the night in Prescott when we arrived they had taken us out of the couples room and booked us 45 min apart . Apparently they gave our spot to others as the couples before us went in together. Scheduled my appointments (and even become a member!) and each time something changed, never the person I booked an appointment with, never the pressure I wanted and so much confusion. When I tried to cancel after having three of the worst massages of my life, there was a complete loss and complete set of rules I had never been told before. Three managers and not a single one can call a customer back or help in any format. Mark Love, the owner, was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me when I needed assistance. He was unaware of policies related to massage envy as it sounds each employee is also unaware. Condescending and belittling are honestly some of the worst ways to talk to customers. I felt incredibly rushed by the technician and she was so fast and rough with my skin that it wasn't relaxing at all. When I let the front desk know i felt rushed and wasn't really happy they just said she 'works fast' and tried to sell me a membership. Have been paying monthly for almost 4 years for massages with Envy. Always liked the convenience of using other locations even though our home location is in Phoenix. We have been in Prescott more lately and have had good experience in the past, however the last three times we have been cancelled an hour and a half before the session. My wife and I enjoy going at the same time so it changes our plans for most of the day. I understand people get sick, but three times in a row?! If you set an appointment here be prepared for the phone call 90 minutes before. The last time they did this to us they threatened a cancellation fee. Most amateur inexperienced massage therapists I've ever had. Went to a "stretch" session on special. It was clear that the "therapist" had never had any training in fascial stretch or even basic massage stretch. I'm athletic and flexible and was never stretched to my limit to get any benefit. When a massage business offers an advertised "stretch session" you are assuming that they know about FST or even Thai massage stretch. NOPE! The room was so small that my leg would hit the wall when it was stretched out from my center at a right angle. Such a joke. 20 min into the 30 minute session after meeting no resistance and me telling her she could go further she said "you are really flexible". Sigh. Please please train your staff in theory and practice of this very valuable beneficial therapy! I've had excellent stretch sessions before and they are INTENSE. Don't offer the service if you can't deliver. read more

Quin is a fantastic massage therapist. He listens to your needs and tailors his technique to what you require. Often I find that the therapist doesn't feel present while doing the massage - maybe planning his or her weekend or thinking about other things. Quin is. He is right there working on every muscle and joint. I suffer from terrible sinus and tension headaches. He gives me immediate relief as well as complete relaxation from head to foot.
