I have called Massage Envy 7 times in the last 14 days to find out why my credit card is being charged monthly for services I have not received. I have contacted corporate and been told it's "not their problem- it's a franchise." I have given the two different managers the dates, times, card number, and my name to find out why I have been charged fraudulently for the last 4 months. They will not return my calls. They will not refund the money they have stolen from me. I went in for services in January 2020. I have been being billed monthly for the last 4 months and never walked in the door. I DID NOT sign up for a program. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. They will grab your card number and bill you relentlessly. My only recourse was to cancel my card and put a block on their business for the future. BUYER BEWARE. Do not use this business. If you do, you will get put on their "SUCKER" list and bill you forever for visits you never made. read more

My husband booked an appointment with this location as a nice surprise. I entered an empty facility with three receptionists sitting at the front desk. They had mis-booked my appointment and were very insincere,insinuating it was my "miscommunication." I completely understand mistakes but the lack of caring from management and reception area completely ruined my desire to return. Trust me, I wouldn't be writing this review to be petty. Horrible business and customer service!! I had a 1 year membership and canceled it in November at the end of the year. It's now July and they debited my account for $119. Oh and they did this fraudulently, because the card they had on file for me was expired!! I cancelled my services so why would I update my card info, this business is a complete scam and there customer service is awful. When I called in about the charge the person who answered was rude and not helpful at all. I will be filing a compliant with the Better Business Bureau!! The massages are amazing. They are truly relaxing. I fall asleep almost every time. I ask for Corie. Jennifer is just as good. You can ask for a relaxing massage or ask to have a certain area heavily massaged. Corie knows how to work out the knots. I like that she can give me a hard pressure message when I need one. read more

This is my first time ever writing a bad review, especially since I work in customer service I know how difficult it could be working with the public, so it definitely takes a lot for me to complain but I have to make others aware of their horrible customer service, especially since I have had several bad experiences with them that the last one is beyond deserving of this poor review. All they care about is taking your money! My husband had bought me the year membership since I was almost in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and started feeling very uncomfortable. I definitely had to go threw a hand full of therapists and weed out the bad ones ie: one had her phone in front pocket so heard it vibrating every 5 mins, another therapist was sick and kept coughing and sneezing in her hands then of course would continue with the massage, that I had to ask if she was sick and even told her that I could not get sick, she said "it's just allergies" but still HOW GROSS! but I found the gem if your still daring to go here and get a massage ask for LEXI, she is amazing. Another bad experience I had was I wanted to pay the extra 10 $s and have my massage transferred to a family member. The girl at the front desk said I could only transfer to MEMBERS only. I said well if they are a member then they already get monthly massages so how do you get non members in? She said that I would have to buy her a gift card and pay for an hour massage. I said that does not make any sense. So I ended up buying a hour gift card and me n my cousin went in together. After our massage I was scheduling for my next months massage and heard the SAME girl who told me I could only transfer to members only transferring a massage for the lady next to me for her daughter who was NOT a member, so of course I said to her you told me I couldn't do that and that is why I bought a gift card. Mind you the manager was standing right there as she was the one booking my next appointment. The girl said sorry I got confused and misunderstood the rules. So I said well I just spent $60 when I didn't need to. You would think that the manager would have said let me add a special 10 $ oil for your next appt for the misunderstanding or SOMETHING, at least a sorry would have been nice, she said absolutely nothing and continued to book my appt! The last straw and the reasoning for me to write this review...my very last massage before my year membership was up, had problems scheduling appt especially being that I only wanted Lexi. Finally found a day that worked for me as well as Lexi being available. Got a reminder call for a 2 o'clock appt. When I thought it was a 11 o'clock appt. I called to confirm and it was in fact 2pm. I would never schedule a appt for 2 especially being that my husband leaves for work at 3 and I would need to be home for our baby. So I ended up having to cancel. They apologized for the confusion and said they would call me if any cancellations which they did a couple days later but it was for a appt IN 3 HOURS! I told them there was no way I could make it in 3 hours that I would need to find a sitter. I ended up calling them back with a date which Lexi was not available. Going back and fourth I called a 3rd time trying to book and they told me that my massage expired since I was no longer a member and that I had only 30 days to use it and that I would have to pay the full $100 for non member price. I asked then how did my other massages roll over to the next month other times. The manager had the nerve to tell me it was because I was a member and since I canceled my membership i was no longer considered a member and that it expired. I explained to her how it was a hassle making the appt and it wasn't my fault the receptionist messed up my appt time the first time. She said it's in your contract if you would have read it and that I shouldn't have cancelled my membership! I was so blown away that I could not believe it! It is not like I was asking for a free massage, I was asking for a massage that was ALREADY paid for and not yet used (only 34 days not used) due to the reciptionist scheduling the wrong time. I ended up just hanging up and calling it a loss of 60 bucks. The sad thing is my husband just found out he has arthritis in his neck and asked that I sign him up for the year membership when I went to my last appt. NO WAY will we ever go back to a massage envy EVER. If this manager would have just spent the time trying to understand and listen to my legitimate complaint and schedule me my massage that I paid for, they would have had another year membership for my husband. Save yourself the headache all they care about is getting your money, not customer service. We now go to another day spa which BOTH of us are now members. Had a potentially bad experience make a complete turn around when the receptionist outdid herself to correct a scheduling error. They also paired me with, I'm sure one of the BEST massage therapists out there, she cares about her job and is there to truly make a difference in people's lives, thanks again Redlands Massage Envy. I have been to spa envy in redlands twice now. My husband bought me the membership as a gift. I absolutely love massages and get them on a regular basis., so my hubby thought the membership was the perfect idea. Well unfortunately this place is everything but a spa. I ve been to Spa s all over the country. If your going to do something do it right. First the waiting area is very small especially when they pack you in. They have cucumber and lemon water ..... And serve it in small paper cups.As another person wrote , the fake staff ... Yes, it's so overwhelmingly fake. Act normal cause the show is not working and is actually unprofessional. And then we have the therapist . I would love to see if these therapist have their license, because I highly doubt it. First you go in and whatever you choose to be rubbed with .. Lotion, oil , It's an extra $10. They give it to you when u leave in a 1 ounce plastic bottle with a homemade paper attached to it with the ingredients. This time is included in your massage time. I paid for an hour twice and both times got max 45 minutes. I was dressed paid the bill and in my car at the end of my hour. My second massage the poor girl didn't speak any English and it took almost 10 minutes to get through what I wanted with some sign language. This therapist squeezed and pinched so hard I thought I was going to have bruises all over my body. I had to tell her several times to ease up. At one point I almost walked out but thank god the massage was over. She didn't have a clue as to what deep tissue massage is. I will not return for my third massage. Or recommend this place to anyone. I ve had a massage in a mall and it was 10 times better. Don't waste your money. This place won't last long in Redlands . read more

I have been a faithful customer of ME for about 4 years. There have been a number of mishaps that have happened to me over the past year. I understand that it is a franchise but the happenings are reverse marketing for ME. I would be very concerned if I from corporate. I will list the top issues: 1. Front Desk/Calendar not accurate. I book my appointments for a full year in advance. They call to remind me I have an appointment - I show up and they say it was a mistake. Or I have he appointment listed on my calendar..and I show up and they say its a mistake. 2. Management - When the front desk has issues they cannot address, there isn't anyone on site to assist with guidance. The manager handles several MEs. They have to call you back which they might not remember to do. I asked to be connected to management to share my concerns they might not be aware of. After 3 failed appointments, I decided it wasn't going to happen. Recently, my therapist started working in private practice so she told me she wasn't going to be at ME during our normal times. She said ME would contact me to let me know. I got a call as I was driving to the appointment that my therapist would not be there. They wanted to book me with someone else. If I booked 1 year in advance, could they give me more notice? When I arrived, they apologized and offered me a courtesy massage. I hesitated then accepted. I waited in the waiting room for 15 minutes...and never got called. The front desk apologized again and didn't know what to do. Their complimentary massage as a token of apology did not happen. I decided to cancel my membership and give my 2 paid for massages to a friend as a gift. They could not do this unless I knew the name of the friend right then. You can't buy a gift certificate and decide later who you will give it to. I was so upset that I told them I couldn't think and would come back. A week later..I came back to give them the 2 names. The girl couldn't assist me unless I remembered who I spoke to the week prior! Then she said they don't do gift certificates from unused massages on your account. I couldn't believe it. She said she was new and this is how they did it. After a long time, she gave me two cards to fill out with my friend's name to gift my massages to. These issues have spanned a year which causes me great concern. I hope that the therapists are well paid because the ME is not into customer service. I am not hopeful that anyone will contact me regarding this review or to see how they can improve their service. I hope everyone else receives the customer service that is normal for a service oriented company. read more

I am currently in the process of canceling my membership with massage envy thanks to this location and specially the customer service I received today. I initially called this location due to me experiencing issue with my membership sign in online. When I called this office I explained my issue to the woman on the phone. We had a miscommunication on whether I was on my computer or using the app on my phone. The woman over the phone kept saying "ok so you're using the app" and I corrected her saying, "No, I'm on my computer." she sighed and said, "ugh, same thing." I thought this was rude and ask for her name. I thought she said, "Person" I stated clearly repeating "PERSON" she says "yes". I ask her to spell her name and she states, 'K-I-R-S-T-E-N' she then informs me that I can call their corporate office if I have any further issues. I ask for the corporate number which she informs me is (480)366-4100. I ask for the manager and Kirsten places me on hold...then the phone hangs up. I call back. Christina, who is the assist manager who at first informs me she is the general manager answers the phone, I ask if I have been hung up on and she assures me that the phone call "just dropped" I believe the conduct of these employees were very rude and unprofessional! I expressing myself to Christina I received a disingenuous apology but she seemed very pleased to inform on how i can cancel my membership...These to ladies completely ruined it for me!!! I was gifted a massage by a member. I spoke with Kirsten while trying to book it and she was friendly, helpful, and patient over the phone as it took a while to get things worked out with the gift. I confirmed the date and time before we hung up. I have an infant so I arranged for childcare and showed up only to find the massage was never put in the system! The front desk gal who helped me offered to reschedule me and also offered a free massage enhancement for the inconvenience. A week later I returned for my massage. I was taken straight back to the waiting room with no more than my name being asked at the front desk. Lexi showed me to my room and asked what we were working on so I told her my trouble spots and after I was undressed, she returned and got started. The pressure was decent and the chance to relax with some mommy time was great but the massage was lackluster and she was not intuitive as another reviewer had me looking forward to. Also, I most definitely did not get any massage enhancements. Facilities are nice but I wouldn't pay to return here. read more

I usually go to the Massage envy in Riverside Orangecrest, but my wife and I went to this location in Redlands because of the couple's room. We went for Valentine's Day to get a massage and didn't get the friendly/relaxing experience I usually get at Orangecrest. Long story short - my wife is not a member however, I am a new member and still getting the hang of how it works. I wasn't sure if I had to pay cash or get my monthly credit for the massage. So before we went to our appointment I had called the front desk in Redlands to ask. The girl who answered was very rude and before I had finish my sentence she interrupted me and asked if I was going to cancel let her know now so she could charge me the cancellation fee. I had told her know that I wasn't going to cancel that I just wanted to know how much I was going to pay on hand. She then said "Oh, let me check" and put me on hold without even apologizing. Then she said your session is covered for today and then hung up. She didn't even say see you soon or asked me if I had any other questions which I thought was really rude. Then after our massage was over I didn't feel satisfied or balanced because they totally skip both me and my wife's legs. I know that my wife specifically ask the therapist if she can get her legs and feet done and he skipped her legs and worked on her feet for about 5 Seconds and that was it. We were better off going to the Massage Envy in Orangecrest to have our session. We would have been in a separate room but at least we would have gotten our legs done a full body massage and been satisfied. After this experience I will never come back to the Redlands location again. read more

I had the worst facial ever from this place. Actual service performed was probably less than 30 minutes at most. A lot of waiting minutes for the therapist to do what ever she is suppose to do next laying on the table. May be all the facial services are structured that way at Massage Envy. It seemed such a waste of my money laying on the table for my therapist to do something next, whether to clean my face, apply wet towel on my face, or squeeze the black heads from my skin, etc.etc. At the end of session all they pushed was more products for me to buy and asked to make another appointment which I declined. I'm more use to better services from other places and only reason I signed up with Massage Envy for my facial was to use up all my credits I have with them. I will never get another facial with them. I want to speak to the manager about my experience but I held back. Don't waste your money on facial from this place. read more

A week ago I visited this location for the first time. I filled out a long questionnaire with my preferences of how much talking I wanted during a session, what areas were of concern to me and what level of pressure I wanted. I had a male therapist. He talked the entire time. The areas that I had marked and told him verbally at the beginning of our session as areas to Target we're never touched. I let this be known to the girl who checked me in before the session, as well as after the session, Megan was very good about having no charge for this first visit because of that. It was also extremely hot in the room. And they cover you with a sheet and a blanket. I was told I could not have the blanket removed due to their policies. The therapist told me that eight other guests had made the same complaint to him and he doesn't know why they don't change the policy or allow the blanket to be taken off. I would never be without a sheet. But with the blanket on and the hot room I was roasting and sweating. And not enjoying it at all. Tiffany returned my call today about this experience. She was a disaster. She said they know that it is very hot. She said the electric company turns their air conditioner off between 1 and 4 p.m. every day. Yet they do not have fans or portable air conditioning units that they were all into a room even though they know how hard it is. She agreed that it is their policy that you must have a sheet and a blanket regardless of the temperature or their inability to call your room down. She was more concerned with telling me her policies and that they're not going to change then she was with helping the customer has a positive experience. And she never even addressed the issues with what the therapist did not Target during our session even though I filled it out in advance and told him verbally what I wanted. I have no idea why they call her a manager. But she turned me off to Massage Envy as a chain. read more
