I had the worst massage of my life yesterday at Massage Envy in Upland, CA. It was mediocre at best. The female therapist used one hand to massage one shoulder at a time, she didn't spent more than 30 seconds on each hand, she was afraid to touch my thighs, (my knee caps got a good massage), and she never touched my toes. I paid extra for Aromatherapy thinking that they would have some sort of fragrant mist going in the room, but NO, I was wrong. It consisted of a drop of lavender oil placed in the lotion used. I smelled it for the first 5 seconds of the massage when she added to the lotion and that was it. I have had better experiences in Mexico. Never will I darken there doors again. read more

I got a membership a month ago ($59 a month & $39 if you want any additional in the same month). First visit was in Rancho Cucamonga Branch. Got a massagein the Upland today. Overall, my visit was very good, straightforward. Ivy was my massage therapist & she was great. Massage Envy isn't quite like Burke Williams but then again I don't pay Burke Willliams prices here. The place is very clean, employees are ALL courteous. Massage room is very relaxing with soft music in the background. Massage therapists are very professional & will work with your needs (soft, firm, deep pressure). If you want to focus on a certain area, they will do that for you. So yeah, I definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs massage therapy or a once a month pampering. A membership is definitely beneficial since it forces you to go at least once a month & get an hour of relaxation!!! read more

I have membership with Massage Envy and getting billed $ 60 monthly but for some reason everytime I make an appointment they call me next morning and they say that they cannot accommodate cause the therapist I got scheduled called sick and this incident happened at least 3 times all I can think they take my money and they just don't want to give the service I tried to contact the corporate office to file a complaint never been able to reach they are too busy to answer the phones and after I leave a message they never call you back I think even 1 star is to much for the unreliable crappy service and the attitude they give you. I am so ready to cancel my membership and I am not recommending this business to anyone!!! read more

First things first - this is a MASSAGE place NOT a SPA. Secondly this is MASSAGE ENVY not Burke Williams.....so if your coming here expecting the full salon experience then you will not be happy - bc this place is for Massages...only. Ok That said for all the people who expect a Spa experience for 'cheap' even though the name clearly states "Massage" in it..... ANOTHER THING- these are franchises, the Upland location Owner owns the Rnacho one too - so if you like one you will like the other! I have had a Membership for @6mos - I am on the computer and type at least 6-10 hours a day every day. My hand had started cramping occasionally and I was noticing increasingly painful tension between my shoulders and lower back from the typing/sitting position. I have had several different people to kind of find one i love - BUT they all specialize in different things. What I wanted was a reasonably priced massage by a licensed professional who wasn't going to make it worse, but help and relax me. For my lower back pain I really like Stacy & Jeanine-Stacy is quiet but sweet, Jeanine is more talkative but if your nervous she makes you feel at ease bc she is friendly and sweet. Neither one talks 'overmuch'. If your brave and want to help lose your water weight fast try Isidro for the Lymphatic Draining Massage (it sounds disgusting but it's basically a no-lotion, low pressure massage that stimulates the water trapped in your lymph nodes - you will pee for 2 days like a pregnant woman in her last trimester - for you males that don't know what that means, your gonna pee like a racehorse every 2 hours) - I liked it and it DID work and at some point I will do it again. Massage Envy is CLEAN, peaceful, front desk personal are professional and nice, therapists I have had are attentive (but not all have heated lotion so you may want to request that if a little cold hand is not your thing) - there is a little waiting room to help get you mellowed out. I call with sometimes as little as 2 hours before I want an appt and I normally get one without issues. read more

I have been coming here for several years, and it is my place to escape the woes of this world! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The environment is clean, relaxing, and peaceful. You may not get saran wrapped in rose petals and nutella or fed peeled grapes as the harp plays in the background, but they get the job done and transform you from a raging bull to a doe-eyed bambi! Let me start by saying that I've been going to this location for years as I used to be a member. I recently decided not to continue with my membership but still occasionally go to get a facial. My usual esthetician Lorena was not available today so I had someone else do my facial, I can't remember her name. Just FYI Lorena is amazing! She always addressed my concerns and was just great to me and my skin. If you go to this location ask for her. Anyways I was very clear what my problem area was and that my face felt congested and needed extractions in that area. She literally rushed through everything and was on my problem area for maybe 2 minutes. I'm completely disappointed, my face looks exactly like it did when I walked in. Not to mention they charged me the non member rate of 100 dollars for 1 hour. I might as well should have thrown that money away. read more

Second time in a row that I set an appointment well in advance and was canceled at the last minute. First time, they booked the appointment for the wrong time. We even confirmed the desired time on the phone, then they called us hours before our appointment telling us we were late. Second time, the massage therapist was sent home sick and they called me hours before to cancel my appointment, stating they had no other availabilities for the day. I understand things happen, but in both situations, I made the effort to make an appointment well in advance and it seemed like Massage Envy made no effort to try to fix things and get another therapist to fill in. It was simply, "sorry, your appointment is canceled. Feel free to make an appointment for another day." If I didn't have credits on an account, I'd simply go somewhere else. Went here for a Valentine's Day treat and got the couples hot stone massage! Staff is friendly and welcoming. One thing I would improve is the sound barriers between the rooms. I took a group of 4 moms out for Mother's Day yesterday and I feel they did an excellent job getting us all in at the same time and delivering exactly what we were expecting. I called the Wednesday prior and was excited to actually get our group booked, as I called multiple locations that were previously booked. The lady who scheduled us even thought to ask if we had any gender preference before booking our appointments. I did receive a reminder call the day before to confirm our appointments. The location was very clean, including the restroom. There were cookies and lemon water waiting in the table for the guests to enjoy while filing out routine paper work and the staff asked us if we wanted to also try their cucumber water was well. My masseuse's name was Carlos and as he initially introduced himself, he also asked about any pain or specific areas I had concerns with. I really like the fact that the bed was heated and the sheets and blanket were soft on my skin. Carlos did an amazing 1 hour massage with foot scrub for me and I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards. The front staff were also kind and explained the benefits on becoming a member. I declined for now, but would love to become a member one day. We all also received a scented candle for a special Mother's Day gift. I feel that this business is preforming extremely well and is taking excellent care of its clients. read more

I travel from coast to coast several times a month. My back and neck are always suffering. I read a few reviews on Yelp about this parlor and I thought I'd give it a try. Massage is based around your personal preferences and needs (for me) - with that in mind I explained what I was looking for when I booked the appt. I was so happy to have been paired with a masseuse who understood my needs and what I wanted. I've been back four times- I've even joined the monthly membership program for a discount on the normal pricing. We are all so busy today with taking care of everything on our plates it's important that we take the time to allow ourselves to rejuvenate. I highly recommend this parlor. read more

It is sooooo worth it to invest in a Massage Envy membership. When they first opened this ME a few years ago I tried it out and knew that I needed to sign up for a membership. This is one membership where you will get your money's worth (unlike the gym). You get 1 massage per month, and they roll over if you don't use them. I probably have 3 or so saved up right now. Kelly is my absolute fave. She has been out for a medical issue so I found Kimberly and she is awesome as well. I was scheduled at my requested time and told exactly what the terms were (for me, 60 min on the clock, with 50 min hands-on time and then 5 min upfront and at the end to discuss and prep). And had one of the more successful operations in the organizations. I went for two hours every week for years. This place is so good, I'd carry a sign on my back for them. Had a massage today with Stephanie and it was AMAZING!!! 50 minutes of heaven lol my neck and shoulders were so tense and she did a great job. I didn't realize how sore my calves were until she got there and wow it felt amazing. She really listened to my requests about pressure and it was so awesome. Also, I have vertigo, and Stephanie said she had experience working with people who have vertigo and it showed! She had me move certain ways to not cause dizziness and for the first time in a long time I was completely relaxed! More importantly, for the first time since the vertigo hit, I had a whole hour where I wasn't dizzy. I could've cried. It was incredible. The massage therapist, Stephanie H., is professional. She listened to my needs and made a big improvement on my range of motion in my injured shoulder. She keeps the room quiet and her technique feels really good. The facility is ok. The quiet room has a small tv with 80's style pictures of water running in nature, and not much else. Having a man walk in on my last massage scared me. As soon as he realized his mistake he should have quietly shut the door. Instead, he laughed and said something. If you are a healthcare worker in need of some respect, relaxation and a massage, DONT come here. I am a frontline critical care RN and take care of COVID patients. I wear a CAPR which has even more protection than an N95. Due to taking care of COVID patients my appointment was cancelled. When I called to clarify I was told my appointment was already given to someone else and there was nothing they could do for me. I had this appointment scheduled for weeks. It's hard for me to make time to get a massage due to the 4th surge of COVID and the nurse shortage. I usually go to the DayCreek Massage Envy and have NEVER had this problem. In fact, they actually put me on a waiting list for the very few days I'm off in case something opens and I can use my hours. I am a member and have been since the Rancho location opened. Too bad the Upland location doesn't care about it's members or health care workers. I get punished and my appointment cancelled for helping people stay alive. I highly encourage everyone to go to another location if you want a massage and to be treated decently. read more

Out $180!!!...My 12 month membership ended in June and I went for my last massage at end of May. I explained I was moving for the summer and didn't want to start my new membership until I returned in September. I had Three credits left and receptionist said I had a year to use them. Two months later I called to book a massage while I am back visiting. "SORRY once you stop your membership your credits expire!!!" Said the unhelpful receptionist. "Can I speak with Melissa the manager?" I said. " she isn't here and I don't know when she is working. There is nothing we can do for you." WOW! Needless to say I will not be signing back up at This location. I will find one owned by another franchise owner. I'm out over $180 and nothing was offered to me. read more

Massage Envy is a franchise massage place - it's not a spa, so there are no shower rooms, saunas, etc. Basically, it's a bunch of massage rooms in one building. But to me, that's fine when i am on the go and I need a massage to relax and unwind. My 4 stars primarily goes to the massage therapist I had today. Ask for Monica! She is sooo good! I just went today and received a 2 hour massage. I've had a membership for over a year now - it's $59/month for 1 massage, and if you get more than 1 massage a month, it's $39 per each additional. The great thing about a Massage Envy membership is that you can use them at any massage envy and there are plenty throughout the U.S. I canceled my membership, finding that I am not using the massages on a monthly basis (this month alone I had 6 massages unused that accumulated). It's great if you have the time for monthly massages - that was my original intention.... I'm kind of sad now that my acct is canceled because Monica was excellent! She is really efficient, she knows her anatomy and trigger points, and she used firm, but soothing techniques. Better than when I would go to some upscale massage places. (the first time i went here, my massage was too firm and somewhat painful, but this time with Monica, she took the time to figure out what I liked). I'm actually going back next week for another 2 hour massage with Monica :) Also, the front desk staff was very friendly. I had a complication with my account that I established in Mira Mesa (horrible experience down there) and the gentleman here called their establishment, talked to the owner and had it squared away. read more

My chiropractors office was closed until monday and I just needed something... luckily I got Fergal!!! He is newer to the location but immediately I could tell he knows what he is doing. Come to find out he has been doing message therapy for 13plus years. Anyway... I woke up this AM and my back almost feels normal, which says alot because of how kuch pain I was in!!! I came in for a massage on mothers day. I don't remember the girls name, but she was not good. She seemed like an amateur. Wasn't that friendly at all and she did a half ass job. And don't waste your money on the sugar foot scrub it was horrible! All she did was lightly rub small circles of some type of scrub on the bottom of my feet only then wiped it off with a hot rag. The ladies at the nail place do 1,000 Times better at rubbing your feet! And they raised their prices too. Also none of the workers smiled and they seemed like they didn't like each other. I have had massages in many places, and after I hurt my back this week a friend of mine let me use some of her membership credits to visit this Massage Envy today. I loved it! I agree with the other "posters" that is is NOT a spa, but they don't CHARGE you like a spa either. The office staff was very friendly, and my therapist James knew what he was doing. He was defiantly well trained, and worked on my specific issue, rather than giving me a "one-size-fits-all" massage. When he finished he showed me some stretches too, so I am able to move around MUCH better than when I woke up this morning. After my massage, the ladies at the front desk were very helpful and friendly in signing me up as a member so I can come back often....which I will! A 90 minute massage every other Friday has been my routine for the last 3 years with Ivy. She is by far the best therapist at this establishment! (There are other good ones there too. She is just my fav ). The girls at the front desk are always friendly and greet you by name when you walk in the door. Everyone in the world should visit MIGUEL at massage envy in Upland.. I was having pretty severe neck pain and decided try massage for some relief.. I can't begin to explain how much this young man has helped me. I found out I have a degenerating disc in my neck and have developed arthritis.. Ughh.. I just turned 40 so this news really sucks.. needless to say I will be visiting Miguel often. .
