I have had a membership here for 2 years and it's an amazing place. I really haven't had a bad or mediocre massage...everyone hss been good to excellent. I'm not really able to plan ahead my massage day so it's usually really last minute when i book, usually the night before or even the same day. In the beginning I wondered/worried if I got the least experienced or newest therapists since the good ones always booked up fast, but even if I did it doesn't matter because like I said, over 2 years and not having a regular therapist and everyone is truly great. I don't know what the hell the masseuse was doing for twenty minutes. She was sandpapering away my skin at some point. Whenever she did one hand maneuvers I swear I could hear her clicking away on her iPhone. It did not feel like a professional massage. 50 minute massage session only lasted 46 minutes. After we contacted them repeatedly and asked them to stop charging our credit card, we had to cancel our credit card to stop this from continuing to happen. In response to Liliana, Massage Envy is a clinic setting, NOT a spa. The concept, design, and prices are designed to compliment the membership program. Yes, $79 can get you a massage at a spa... But considering that your first massage is $39, that's 2 quality hour massages for less than $120 which can be hard to find. As Allison said, with the membership you're paying $59 for 1 massage a month and then $39 for each additional visit. These are REALLY reasonable prices and make it easy for members to come in more often and many develop a great therapist-client relationship, making it much easier to feel comfortable each visit. If this is boring to you or you're more interested in sitting in a jacuzzi, getting a facial, and mani pedis, then you should go to a spa because the M.E. clinic isn't what you're looking for. read more

This is my favorite location! The massages are great at pretty much all locations, so the real differentiator for massage envy is the front desk. Molly is the absolute best! Knows who you are when you walk in the door and makes it a point to remember what your preference in Therapists are, and makes great recommendations. She is just the best at what she does. Called ahead yesterday (Christmas eve) at around 4pm to see if they were open to sell gift cards.. I live a little further then an hour away but travel to upland every year to see family so it was convenient.. They said yes they were open, selling gift cards till 8pm..I drove thru traffic for an hour and a half and showed up just before 6pm to get my cards.. I walked in the door to about 3 or 4 employees standing behind the counter.. I asked to buy my gift cards and they told me "sorry we're closed!" I told them I called and they said 8pm on the phone.. Their response was "yeah, well it was slow" To me that is very unprofessional and I was under the impression that massage envy, being a chain with multiple locations, would be more professional then that.. I begged them to sell me a gift card and that I had cash and their response was "registers already closed" I WILL NEVER GO TO A MASSAGE ENVY LOCATION AGAIN!! Almost each time I come in they are goofing around and one time they were actually having a conversation about sex. First id like to make one point... everyone is different so what you may want is not the same as the next person. So my tip is to find someone you had a great experience with and stay with that person. I personally LOVE Rebecca C. she's a sweet soft spoken woman who I have found myself stuck with. She is always on time and starts off with things to help relax my body before just jumping right into the massage which I like. She now knows the exact amount of pressure I like without having to ask me "how's the pressure" and for that hr that im there makes me as comfortable and relaxed as I possibly can. I have seen her 7+ times now and wouldn't consider anyone else not because I don't think they are capable it's just because I feel Rebecca C. has done everything to make me feel better and she does make me feel better. I called today to reschedule an appt that I had missed due to a medical emergency and was told that because I had not called 2 hours in advance to reschedule, that the hour that I had been GIFTED had been used. I apologized for not calling in but at the time it unfortunately wasn't a priority for me to pick up the phone and call them to let them know that I was on my way to a hospital. I'm really disappointed as I have not only been a client with them, but have always given them great reviews and always recommended this location as I used to work right next door and what they are about. I've had one massage before at Glen Ivy and this was my first at Massage Envy. The staff was very friendly and I got into the room for my massage 5 minutes for my appointment time so their punctuality was a big plus for me. My massage therapist was Elyse and she was very friendly and professional and asked me a couple times if I was okay with the pressure. I had a 2 hour massage and it was a great experience! i got a gift card for my bday to get my first massage from here, the $39 one....well i really enjoyed it....but the other day i was trying to take my BFF for her bday (first time $39) but since it was my 2nd time...it was like $79!!!! waaayy too much, you can pay that and actually go to a spa where you can relax in the sauna or hot tub afterwards.....this place is strictly massages, they just have a bunch of rooms and u go in and go out in an hour, the end, boring! they have these memberships that they offer u, but nah no thanks. read more

I have been a member of Massage Envy for years and have been going to this location for the last 6 months. It is so much closer to home for me and I am so happy to be going here and have felt very much welcomed each time I walk through the door. They greet me by name which is very sweet......I however have to brag about my therapist named Dean.....he is the the most requested therapist and I have scheduled weekly massages with him until the end of April but will continue to book with him each week. He is so professional yet he and I laugh for an entire hour together. I suffer from Fibromyalgia for over 30 years and I look so forward to Wednesdays because I know Dean will help me overcome some of my pain and make me feel human for a few days. I highly recommend Dean to anyone thinking of trying this place out. Book well in advance because he is so requested by many clients. Today when I was feeling horrible he knew it and I had mentioned that I probably would not talk the entire hour with him. WRONG...........he is so much fun and makes my pain bearable while we visit and laugh the entire time. He has brought tears to my eyes from the deep tissue massage and also from our relationship which is filled with laughter!! He is one of a kind and tonight told me he mentioned to his staff that he enjoys when I come in. I thought that was so kind of him since I look so forward to seeing him as well. Dean can make the massage seem less painful by his attitude and great personality!! He is my angel sent from Heaven above.....love him;-) So if you walk in feeling like a train rode over you......in one hour it will bel ike a semi rode over you and in the morning you may be feeling pain but that will subside. I've been a member for several years. I look forward to my massages, they are imperative to my relaxation and well-being. However, the last couple of months the front desk staff has gone down hill FAST! I used to get greeted with my name and asked if I wanted water. Now I get a look like, What do you want? and then asked for water once they know I'm there for an appointment. The really frustrating this is that the staff now thinks it is okay to have your cell phones out and to take personal phone calls. GRRRR. Apparently the "district administrator" also thinks that it is okay, and would rather allow this than keep a long time customer. She offered to cancel my membership then and there. I will not return to this location or for that matter any Massage Envy location. Room was cold. Person doing massage was just going through motions, just a job to her, didn't care. She hurt me doing massage too. Plus, she skip whole areas/body parts during massage (such as abdomen) and I checked off on sheet that I wanted all areas massages, she even confirmed it verbally! This massage person was bottom of barrel and I asked to have the best one when I placed the appointment! Ladies at front desk were snobby and when I mentioned I would not be returning, they didn't even care to ask why. I would have rather have paid more money and gone to a more professional spa with better trained massage therapists. I normally don't write reviews, but Don't go here!!!!
