I simply just wanted to treat myself to a massage. I had no targeted pain, no muscle aches, no cramps or anything . I simply just wanted to relax and be rubbed down lol. Joe, was my massage therapist. He was gentle and respectful. I frequent Massage Envy, and this was the first time that I wasn't given any recommendations, and I don't know if that was a good thing for me or if it was because of the type of massage i purchased. 60 mins of complete relaxation, calmness, soothing , and sensational . I kind of regret not doing the 90 mins massage session instead. The room was at perfect temperature, the oils/lotions that were used were slightly warmer than room temperature and there was really soft music playing . The only discomfort I had, was that the walls are really thin and aren't properly insulated. I forgot to look and see what other businesses were attached, But There was a lot of muffled conversations, loud bumping and moving around. It made it kind of hard to relax completely. Every time I would drift off into sleep , a loud thump or grunt would wake me up . I do plan to revisit this location, because that's just how amazing and relaxing my session was. I am even considering getting a membership.. I'll just bring earbuds next time read more

I gave two stars because the front staff was sooo nice. Wei Wei was not as good as they lead me to believe. I told her I was not bashful and not to waste time hiding my but crack and she said she was not shy either. She then proceeded to spend far too much time covering me up! After an hour massage that was a total of about 30 minutes rubbing I now feel I need to go get a massage! There were times when there was no activity like she was simply tired of doing her job and I had no idea if she had left the room! I would enjoy talking to the counter girls again but, I would not come back for the "massage"! read more

This place is horrible. Booked a birthday massage for my Mom, they called the morning of her appt to cancel. I expressed my frustration due to it being my moms bday they were not empathetic at all. Their customer service is lacking. I found another location to take my mom. I have approximately 40 credits. When I went to the other location, i had to pay out of pocket because the waxahachie location closed early due to only having 1 therapist. So the waxahachie was unable to transfer any of my credits. I went today and saw Phylisha I believe. I arrivedat 310 for a hour massage in which I was 10 min late so I started at 320ish. my massage was rushed and finished at 357. Also to have not focused on the area that I needed in my lower back. The receptionist was nice.. I'm a member with Massage Envy and the amount of appointments that they have now for you to book is very minimal. Most of the locations close to me do not have any evening appointments and very limited availability. At this point I am going to cancel my membership because of lack of availability for appointments to get massages. This is also happening at the Cedar Hill location. read more

After being a customer since June 2018, in March due to COVID. After this location reopened post COVID, they still did not have weekend or evening appointments, so they refunded me June's payment and froze my account again. I spoke to them again in October and requested since they still had no appointments available evenings or weekends to cancel my service. I see that they charged me this week, so I called the Waxahachie location today and spoke with Jiselle. I explained the above to her and she asked me to fix it. I let her know that they needed to work to fix it. Later, I get called from a lady who stated she was the manager and some man who spoke over everyone, so the best I could understand was Max got on the call and was so unprofessional and rude. He said he "heard" the conversation I had with Jiselle and that I cussed at her. If you had heard the conversation, you would know that I in fact did not. He continued to speak over me and said that he would explain the verbage to me the difference between freeze and cancel. I let him know I knew the difference. He interrupted yet again and said he was the highest law of the land. I let him know that they still owed me additional services already paid for for a year now. Now I have been a customer there for a long time and instead if taking that into consideration, he wanted to flex his limited authority and let me know I can't come back to the Waxahachie Massage Envy. You still owe me for services I prepaid for. You are not the highest law of the land as you say, and I will let the public and your corporate office know. If you had listened to the call, you would have heard me tell Jiselle that this wasn't her fault. She clearly works for a poorly ran business and a person who thinks he told me. If you think stealing from your customers and yelling with attitude is a good way to run a business, then acknowledge your attitude and continue with it anyway l, then you are also stupid in addition to rude and a thief. PS, there was continuous turn over of massage therapist, which should have been a clue. They were all great, as were the estheticians. TOO BAD the management is terrible! Don't worry, I have no problem going to a more reputable establishment where customers are appreciated. read more

Forgive me if I'm spelling her name wrong, but Hermione is the bomb. She knows what hurts and she dives right into it. She is small but mighty. My muscles don't have a chance!!! She finds one that misbehaves and the muscle knows, settle down or Hermione will make you settle down. She gets in there and teaches those muscles a lesson. I'm sure she could do a light massage too, but if you want a deep, tear your muscles off and then put them back on in the right place kind of massage, Hermione is your girl. But don't get her too busy, because I found her first! Hermione deserves a raise! read more

Do not have a sign with business hours on the window if you will close before that time! If I pull up at 4:20pm to buy face wash the door should not be locked if the sign says you close at 5pm!! read more

What they fail to tell you at Waxahachie Massage Envy - you MUST book at least a week in advance, sometimes longer unless you can use an appointment in the middle of a work day. The appointments are always at the convenience of the therapists, never at the convenience of the customers. My therapist cancelled on me because of illness - I get it that sick happens - and I have to wait a whole week for another appointment. OK, they did offer me a leftover appointment at 4:30 (instead of 12:30) on a Saturday, but I couldn't see driving another 25 miles RT for a leftover massage slot, then rushing home to start dinner so we didn't have to eat at 9:00 PM. I had similar scheduling issues last year when I used the Cedar Hill location - no therapists available when I could come in after work. I am NOT going to waste vacation time for a simple massage. When I expressed my anger about the whole thing, the girl at the front desk had the attitude of "oh well, take it or leave it" because they called my office number to tell me the appointment was cancelled. They could have emailed me but that would have been too much effort I guess. I asked for concessions on the makeup appointment because ME cancelled on me and was told "I will have to ask my manager" but no definitive time given for a response. read more

My husband and I joined in July 2017. The staff is always super friendly however most of the massages we've had have have been subpar. Being a new business we assumed they were snagging new graduates from the local cosmetology school and wanted to stick it out. We joined mostly because it was a new business, we used to go to a place in Dallas but being a small local business owners ourselves and a local realtor, we wanted to join somewhere in our community. Recently we had some miscommunication about an appointment. We got a call saying we missed our appointment and the fee was 100% of our session. I explained I thought we had scheduled for the following Tuesday, she said she would have a manager call in the morning. This was on Jan 30th. 2 days later i see 2-$45 charges on my account from massage envy. This was shocking considering we have at lease 3 pre-paids each. I filled out a complaint online, because the manager never bothered to call me back as promised. The next day I get a call from the manager...Now that i filled out an online complaint, SHE CARES! I explained the situation along with my frustration in being charged MORE money when I have prepaids, much to my dismay, she actually didn't care! She said she would call me back after talking to the franchise manager, this was on Feb 2, it is now 9:30pm in Feb 5th and still NO CALL! This is supposed to be an industry of service, relaxation and "tranquility". All I have gotten is frustration, poor customer service and anxiety! I understand there being a cancellation policy and there being a need for one, but this was Massage Envy not communicating the appointment date. This should not fall on the customer, of course they have me under contract so they don't have to treat me well, I'm stuck! read more

It pains me to write this review, because I really had high hopes for this place. I was hoping it was good so I can make it my regular spot. All I can say that it was a nightmare instead of a relaxing experience. They booked me with a girl I believe her name was Morgan. Can't exactly remember. Well it all started with a cold room, next cold massaging oil, followed by the most rude masseuse. She wouldn't give me time to accommodate myself on the table. I told her I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago with a bulging disk in my neck area. So It was a little bit harder to get comfortable. I asked for the hot stones, I don't know why the stones were falling off my back, she would lift my arms up in the air to massage them. I've had several massages before and never had my limbs lifted off the massage table to massage them. And there was so much racket in that room, like she was searching for things. I mean, I really wanted it over I was so uncomfortable. To top it all, I don't know if the masseuse had a cold or she was over weight but she had a cough drop in her mouth and she was breathing hard. At the end of the of the session I had a warm towel under my neck, and the woman didn't even lift my head to take it out from under me, she just pulled it out.
